"Thank you to Mr. Xiangzhi and his wife for their hospitality for four days and three nights. Our family's dream of living in an old courtyard in the historical city has come true. The room is tidy and clean. Every morning when we open the door and breathe in the fresh air from the courtyard, the whole day becomes so refreshing. The breakfast carefully prepared by the lady boss is also very delicious. The B&B is just a few steps away from Songyang Old Street, with an excellent geographical location. We visited Songyang Old Town, Chenjiapu, Xikeng, Songzhuang, Yangjiatang and Houshe Village, where the people are simple and honest, and where historical heritage and humanistic atmosphere coexist. We were fortunate to witness villages and buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties to the Republic of China, as well as old craftsmen who integrated intangible cultural heritage into their daily lives, which was awe-inspiring. "This guesthouse truly exceeded our expectations! I especially want to commend the landlady; she was incredibly warm and communicative even before we checked in. She went above and beyond by reserving a parking spot for us every day – anyone who's tried to park in Yangjiatang knows how difficult that can be, so her thoughtfulness was incredibly touching. Upon arrival, she welcomed us with tea, her own delicious brew, free of charge. Sipping tea in the courtyard, gazing at the ancient village scenery, was wonderfully relaxing. On our last day, before we left, she even gave us some homemade wheat and bean rice, worried we might go hungry on the road if we skipped lunch. I was truly moved! I wholeheartedly recommend this place!"

"Staying at Yunyin Mountain Retreat was my most satisfying choice in Songyang. It was tranquil and elegant, and the experience exceeded my expectations! Opening the window revealed distant mountains shrouded in mist, wisps of smoke rising from chimneys, and the air filled with the fresh scent of grass and trees. It was so quiet you could hear the mountain wind rustling through the forest – truly the idyllic retreat I'd always dreamed of. The room was my absolute favorite, with its rustic elegance. Old wooden beams and rammed earth walls paired with warm yellow lighting created a wonderful atmosphere. The two 1.8-meter king-size beds were incredibly thoughtful – spacious, comfortable, and with just the right firmness. The farm-style dinner was also a delightful surprise. The stir-fried beef with green peppers was tender and flavorful, the shrimp were bouncy and sweet, and there were refreshing seasonal vegetables and a comforting soup – every bite was authentically mountain flavor. I stayed here for two nights and felt completely healed. I definitely want to come back!"

"The B&B is not in the most popular Chenjiapu Village, but in the south of Songyang County. At present, because the road has not been repaired, some sections are bumpy. Having been captivated by the "Little Forest for Two," I finally got to experience ancient village life in real life—a truly effective way to experience the local culture. Xiaoyin's home, renovated from an ancient house, retains its original character while incorporating a modern Chinese style, creating a harmonious and charming atmosphere. The spacious and brightly decorated house is perfect for solo living. The best way to experience ancient village life is to stay overnight. During the day, you can admire the mountains amidst the rain and fog, and at night, listen to the chirping of cicadas and the barking of dogs. Unlike Chenjiapu, Yangjiatang offers a lively atmosphere, yet retains the tranquility that only ancient villages can offer. Even the carved windowsills tell stories of the past, creating a sense of time travel. Finally, I would like to thank Xiaoyin's housekeeper, Zhouzhou, and his family for their warm hospitality. They not only showed me around the village, helped me take photos, and invited me to dinner, but also drove me to Chenjiapu to capture the night view. "I stumbled upon Shanye Yunye on Xiaohongshu and inquired via WeChat before booking two rooms on Trip.com. I took my child and parents to experience nature, and we were so pleasantly surprised upon arrival! It was exactly like the pictures I'd seen, even more beautiful in person, almost as if it had its own filter. The room amenities were also fantastic; the drinks in the fridge were complimentary, and the drinking water was local mineral-rich spring water. They even provided a small photo frame, Songyang fragrant tea, and dried sweet potatoes as souvenirs. In the evening, there was a pub where we could sing, which was incredibly fun. Breakfast was exceptionally rich, and they even refilled it when we needed more. The whole experience was absolutely wonderful!"
