Hotel a 4 stelle popolari a Badajoz

Stayed for a couple of nights at Gran Hotel Zurbaran in Badajoz, and thouroughly enjoyed it. From the higher floors there is a beautiful view over the Guadiana river (if the room is facing the back of the hotel). Very central, is ideal to explore the old town or to walk along the pleaseant river banks or across over the bridges. Parking can be a headhake, although free (there is parking inside the hotel at €12,50/day. The staff is very kind and accomodating, always ready to help. It’s a reasonable 4* hotel, but it is starting to need little bits of renovation. Spacious room and comfortable bed. If you book well in advance you might get a better price. Little discount if you become a (free) member of Sercotel. Great stay. Recommend the hotel. Will go back again.

Used this hotel as a one night stopover travelling down and back from the Algarve. Hotel is well located with easily accessible secure and plentiful underground parking. Nice welcome upon arrival on both stays. Rooms were well equipped and nicely maintained with comfortable beds, nice linen and towels. We opted for Dinner B&B as the price offered was so attractive we did not expect too much but how wrong we were. As with most hotels away from the tourist coastal areas lunch is served till 4pm and then dinner from 9pm which is too late for us. On both occasions we arrived before 3pm so took advantage of the option to use the dinner credit for lunch in the bar area. So glad we did there was a decent choice of options for the 3 courses included which were very nice. Breakfast was served buffet style in a large restaurant area to the rear. On the first stay we were a bit disappointed although there was plenty on offer some of the cooking let it down. The croissants were undercooked almost white in colour and not flaky at all. The fried eggs were cold but done to a crisp underneath and the bacon was cold and sitting in a lot of grease. On the second visit the breakfast was far better with everything being far better presented and warmer. For the price of our stays and what we received I suggest it was great value and would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a stopover as we did.

You can immediately see the hotel needs a bit of investment. Crumbling, cracked exterior that a new paint job just won’t cover. However, the room was spacious and the staff are good, particularly the front desk lady….friendly and professional. The buffets (breakfast and dinner) are very average but good value for money. The pool is very busy but it was hot. The restaurant staff tend to congregate and gossip at the bar when they should be focused on the guests. I’d stay again as it’s decent value for money. I’d avoid the golf course which looked lousy.

La posizione è adatta per arrivare fuori città. Le strutture dell'hotel sono relativamente nuove, la camera è grande e il bagno è particolarmente spazioso e confortevole. Il ristorante al piano superiore è buono. La macchina del primo piano ** è nuova.

Anche se ho detto che volevo una camera con un letto matrimoniale e ho pagato di più per questo, ci hanno assegnati una camera con due letti singoli, e non c'era nessuna indicazione che dipendesse dalla disponibilità, perché come ho detto, in realtà pagavamo di più. La stanza era ben cotta, aveva un frigorifero e era pulita. In generale è una buona zona e c'era parcheggio per i clienti.

È un appartamento completamente ristrutturato, nuovo e pulito. È situato in una zona tranquilla, non c'è molto da vedere intorno, anche se a pochi minuti a piedi è la Catedral e una zona di molti pub e bar. Ci è un parcheggio gratuito a pochi minuti a piedi. Il manager molto gentile nel trattare. Per mettergli un colpo, la TV è una smartTV, con un funzionamento un po' strano per poter vedere canali televisivi, che ti toglieno la voglia di metterla. Anche le hanno messo sotto di essa alcune istruzioni scritte

L'hotel è stato difficile da trovare. Non hanno una targa che si vede negli angoli. Situato vicino al centro storico. Molto vicino alla piazza della Spagna. È relativamente vicino ad altri luoghi storici della città. Hanno commercio vicino. Quando è l'Extremadura prestare attenzione agli orari. Principalmente durante la stagione del calore. L'hotel è mezzo strano. La ragazza che ci ha ricevuto era simpatica. Male non aveva nemmeno una mappa. Non deve essere colpa sua. La dimensione della camera era piccola. Il cappello non aveva la camicia, ho dovuto dormire con una camicia, ho dovuto fermarmi a non mettere il viso sul tessuto. Il sapone tb non era li', aveva aria condizionata. Non abbiamo chiamato male. E' un frigorifero. Ero scontato, non abbiamo chiamato. Il posto è mezzo vecchio. La notte è molto rumore, la TV di persone entrando, parlando, non avevano rispetto per l'ora, come la TB non aveva telefono, dovevamo andare giù, non era il caso, almeno con ascensore.
