Bargain in pre-season. For a real 5 stars experience look somewhere else. First of all, from previous comments I expected a 3 to 4 stars experience. Was positively surprised for the price of 800 per person for a week. I consider myself to be in the age group the hotel wants to focus on. The good: - Nice reception with a welcome drink and good intro to the hotel by the receptionist at midnight, prepared snack in our room on our arrival. - They seemed to have learned from comments - Really nice rooms (but small for 5 stars) - In the middle of nowhere, which is nice (for me) for relaxing - Beach is OK with the right expectation - Food is great for the price, good quality - They really focus on sustainability - Nice staff everywhere - Comfortable bed - Some shops in 15 min. walking distance - Nice cold sea water in May, very clean (refreshing for me, but I guess you need to like that) The bad: - Very loud music from the bar directly infront of our room twice a week is unacceptable, very deep bass, very uncomfortable. No way to relax in the rooms and max. 2 people were sitting at the bar, on the other day zero! Could be a lot more silent and lasts until midnight. Could not sleep until it was over. A no-go! - No room for clothes in the room, no closet, living out of the bag in a 5 star hotel…I do not understand this boutique hotel movement or idea or room design. - No easy way to get into the sea without proper beach shoes. At least one corridor without stones into the water would be good. Never saw older peeps in the water. - Services offered not delivered, e.g. directly chatting via Whatsapp with the reception. Asked about taxi prices. No answer online. Had to go to the reception. All in all I set my expectations right based on previous comments and because of the costs per person, but still there were small things I m not OK with as a hotel guest expecting a 5 star treatment. If you expect real 5 stars, look for something else. If you expect 4 stars and you‘re OK with what I wrote in the „bad“ section plus 800 per person a week, then you‘ll be satisfied

Ho soggiornato al Georgioupolis Beach Hotel per quasi tre settimane e, per me, sia il paese che la struttura, sono stati una bellissima scoperta! L'hotel è comodissimo poichè situato nel centro del paese in cui vi è tutto e, contemporaneamente, di fronte ad una bella spiaggia sabbiosa. Tutto lo staff si è dimostrato molto accogliente e attento; la colazione a buffet è ricca ed è da evidenziare l'attenzione del personale di sala grazie al quale non manca mai nulla sia ai tavoli che al buffet. Si può scegliere se fare mezza pensione a pranzo o a cena; personalmente ne ho usufruito sempre a cena, godendo oltre che di ottime portate abbondanti (pesce freschissimo perchè acquistato dai pescatori locali), anche di una splendida vista sulla baia. La pulizia della camera è sempre stata impeccabile e il personale si è sempre dimostrato disponibile ad accogliere le mie esigenze. Molto apprezzata la possibilità di usufruire gratuitamente di lavatrici e angolo stiro in caso di necessità; opportunità utile soprattutto per chi effettua soggiorni più lunghi. Ringrazio, pertanto, il proprietario Antonio e tutto lo staff per la disponibilità, cortesia e professionalità dimostrate e per avermi fatto trascorrere una splendida vacanza! Ritornerò sicuramente!

This is the third time we visited Hydramis Palace (of the 6 times we visited Crete in a time span of 10 years), we've visited many hotels and also a lot of places. Practically visited the entire island north-east-south-west, we've seen pretty much all. This hotel in particular left a very good impression on us the first time we visited and then during corona was our second time that we stayed. That stay was also very good. In september 2023 we returned to Hydramis Palace by booking via phone with Maria. The price-quality ratio is very good, we've also noticed that the hotel has undergone some changes during the course of these years. There's a renovated pool bar, the entire sunbeds location is renewed and increased in size. The restaurant (buffet style) has improved bain-maries so the food stays warm for a longer period and preserves it's quality better. The gardens are still very lush and full of colors, well maintained. The brushes that were trimmed in the shape of faces are gone though, it was a nice touch but probably the work to keep them in very good state wasn't worth it. We didn't miss them to be honest, it was a nice thing to see but if you didn't know they were there to begin with, then it was a non factor. Instead there are beautiful flowers there now, etc. This time we had a room on ground floor (totally different place than what we had before) , we had a private pool which was a nice addition. The room and all it's facilities were very clean. I've been told that the rooms will be receiving a renovation somewhere soon (if not already). Honestly the rooms were still good but I understand the move to make it more modern and update the style to be more in line with the new pool bar and main bar. Overall they are improving the hotel to be a tier higher that it used to be so far. Which is good, progress is always good but I have to mention that it might come at an increased price in the future. Not sure though, this is something that we'll have to discover in the future and update in a future review. There were still plenty of events and there was animation even in september (almost all the way till closing time if I recall correctly). This hotel also has a very good location in terms of reachability of certain places on the east and south side of Crete. Georgioupoli is a beautiful small town, this hotel is located in Kavros though. A very small touristic hub, it used to be very very small, now there's more shops and other stuff organized near and in Kavros. Kavros is an ideal place to stay and use as your 'main base' to start from with the car. You can go towards Rethymno and from there on scout the entire south side or stay near Rethymno. You can opt to go to Chania and enjoy Chania or drive a little bit further to Falassarna beach or to the port in Kissamos to take the 'cruise' to Gramvousa island and Balos beach. This is definitely a must if you're in the neighbourhood. Falassarna also. You can drive towards Chania and go further

L'appartamento era pulito, moderno e ideale per un paio. Un alloggio superiore offre una bella vista. Colazione un po' costosa, quindi comprate in città o comprate qualcosa da mangiare sul balcone della stanza. Il personale e il bar erano così utile e amichevole. Abbiamo chiesto un cambio di camera per una migliore vista - nessun problema. La migliore spiaggia e città a 10 minuti a piedi facile. Buona bevanda e cibo opzioni dietro la spiaggia. Molti ristoranti in città per tutti i gusti. Veggie ok abbastanza ma limitato. Rethymnon si sta perdendo un autobus di 20 minuti per 3 euro.

Hotel davvero molto attrezzato, 2 piscine, mare di fronte l'hotel e con un bel chiosco con dei buonissimi cocktail. Momo il responsabile, davvero un grande manager. In hotel ogni sera c'è l'intrattenimento di qualche serata come discoteca, balli greci ecc.. La mattina è anche possibile fare acquagym o anche giocare al biliardo o al ping pong. Si beve a non finire la sera🥳🍻 Di giorno invece c'è molto relax. Consigliatissimo
