So so so needs updating. So many things wrong. Shower door would not close. Bathroom was disgusting. Whole room smelled of some chemical they must have sprayed. I had asked for a clean blanket and that the comforter be changed when they changed the bedding. No blanket was left and I am not certain if the duvet was changed . Furniture very old and out dated. Carpet dirty. Would not go there again. Or recommend.

Two-night stay. Only used the hotel for a place to sleep so really did not have any interaction with staff or use any of their facilities. Room was nice. Seemed to be well cleaned and maintained. Check in and check out was easy though I did expect to find a receipt under my door on the final morning. That has been my experience during other stays at Holiday Inns. Area was quiet no noise to speak of at night. Only drawback was the breakfast buffet. Potatoes, eggs, meats were all cold. Not a little but a lot. Should have asked for my money back on that one. Next morning we went our to eat. Would stay again but forget eating there.

We stayed here for a hockey tournament with 15 other families. Having stayed at lots of tournament hotels as well as very fancy places, I wanted to take the time to strongly recommend this hotel for all types of visitors. The rooms were so clean and quiet. The sheets and pillows were of high quality and made sleeping very easy. Vince and Mark at the front desk were kind and attentive. They ensured we had the banquet room for dinners and that the breakfast was well stocked and tables cleaned quickly. The hotel is intimate and has a restaurant and bar as well as a small store to buy the necessities. The kids loved the pool and we were very close to Michigan so we could catch a hockey game. Don't hesitate to book this hotel for your group if you are lucky enough that it is available. If I could have a stay of this quality every time I travel for team sports, I would be thrilled. Thank you Ann Arbor and Holiday Inn for a tremendous weekend!

Nice hotel. Great location. Right off the highway. Rooms Clean and comfortable. Hotel Clean. Smells nice. Has indoor pool that’s nice . Mini fridge and laundry on some floors. Front desk lady and bartender were very nice . Has a bar but it does close early for a bar on weekdays at least. Wendy’s and buffalo wings right across the street . You can walk to them. Restaurant right next door. Will stay there again. This is our second time staying.

I was a little nervous about staying at a Holiday Inn for my daughter’s graduation since I’m more accustomed to higher end hotels. However, I really enjoyed this particular hotel. The desk people were all very friendly, courteous and professional. The lobby and dining area were always bright, clean and updated. The included breakfast was good and there’s always coffee and tea available all day and night. My room was a good size, clean, comfy bed and sheets and nice modern furnishings. Towels that were soft versus crunchy. Washer a dryer on each floor which is handy. I used the gym which is small but fine, and it has an indoor pool with a bunch of nice lounge chairs and tables. Amber was really great in accommodating a couple of special requests I made, and very nice and professional. Melissa in dining was outstanding. Honestly she’s a real asset to this place. I rarely see someone working so much with so much care, so diligently and always friendly and funny and helpful. Another testament to this hotel. It was also about an 8 minute drive to UM.

This review is mixed. The biggest issue is being short staffed and this was noticeable even before we arrived. We received an email that we could check in on line and would be notified when room was ready. At 3pm day of check in we called hotel to see if our room was ready. She said she had to check, and put us on hold for an unreasonable amount of time so finally hung up since we arrived at the hotel. We had a few hiccups during our stay that were mostly related to being short staffed. We are IHG platinum members and always recognized as such at check in. Not this time! Our toilet in our room got backed up around dinner time, and almost overflowed so we tried to notify the desk. But neither hotel phone in our room was working. So using our cell phone we called the front desk 3x with no answer. So had to go downstairs in person and was told that nobody was available to repair it and she couldn't leave the desk. She offered us another smaller room that was not acceptable because we specifically reserved a two room suite. She gave us a plunger to do it ourselves. (Only option unless we wanted to check out.) Sparse amenities in the restroom, just liquid soap attached to the wall. The room itself was clean enough, and spacious. We had a voucher for breakfast so the hot breakfast was good. This stay overall was adequate but the lack of service including do it yourself fix it was a disappointment. Would not stay here again.

Front desk staff friendly and efficient … was his first shift but handled it well with a bit of assistance from his supervisor. Bar was open and Marcus was friendly and accommodating .. again a new staff member (4 weeks). It is evident he wants to succeed and bring positive feedback to what he provides in the kitchen and bar. Hopefully they are both recognized for trying to provide a good experience and taking pride in what they are doing. Room clean and comfortable.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights last week. The room was nice enough, we were on the 5th floor and overlooked some trees . Location of the hotel is good too. However, the service was terrible, i.e. non existent. The first day of our stay we left around 10, took the sign "not to be disturbed "off our door and spent the day away. When we returned at night it looked the same as it did when we left. No beds made, no coffee or other supplies replenished , no counters wiped or garbage taken away. The next morning when we left I saw the cleaning crew next to our room and asked to have the room made up please. They looked at their sheet and shook their head. Our room number wasn't on it. I went to the reception and was told that i obviously had left the sign( not to be disturbed) on the door , which i denied. Then I was told that if it wasn't off by 9 30 I was basically out of luck. I asked to please have the garbage removed , which was done and also new towels were left. That's it. I don't understand why if that could be done, why not make the beds and wipe the counters!? Leave some coffee for the morning, maybe some shampoo? I am not paying bargain prices here but feel I got bargain price service. Also, I am still waiting for my security deposit to be returned. All in all not a great experience.

Great location for this hotel, right in the middle of everything AA has to offer and very close to the University of Michigan, which is really convenient if you are headed to the hospital or for testing. Yea, the great Wolverines are close by to watch. The hotel lobby is nice, the place is obviously been there a long time. They have done some refurbishment recently, but for an IHG hotel, it was a little under maintained.

The rooms have been updated, but there are still sign of "wear". This is particularly evident in the common areas: hallways, elevators, stairwell, etc....need some TLC. My biggest complaint is that the toilet in our room clogged (for no apparent reason). I was checking out so I decided to just use the bathroom in the lobby. However, the woman's restroom was out of order. When I told the desk attendant my dilemma (that I had no where to go to the bathroom), he replied "I'm sorry." So based on that customer "service" I would not recommend this hotel. There are plenty of other choices in the area.
