Regno Unito: hotel con pick-up nella provincia di Guernsey

Firstly, all the positives but, unfortunately ending with a negative. On arrival, I was greeted by a friendly and efficient receptionist. Booking in was very easy and I was given a map of the island and a booklet of things to see and do. My room is very clean and spacious with a queen size bed, furniture, sufficient storage, lovely bathroom with bath/shower and complimentary bathroom items. Kettle, tea, coffee milk etc are also in the room. Balcony with 2 chairs and a table. LG tv with remote. Everyone is helpful, friendly, efficient and courteous, from the restaurant staff, bar staff and housekeeping. Choice of food is extensive for breakfast and dinner. None of this buffet stuff, it is all table service . Well equipped bar with bar meals which are excellent. However, I do have a negative. I have a balcony with 2 chairs and a table. There is also a 9 hole golf course close to the hotel with driving range and putting green. The downside is that I am not allowed to have a cigarette on the balcony. If I do, I will be subject to a £100 fine. I feel that this is a violation of my human rights and that the hotel is prejudiced against smokers. Throughout my travels around the world, with my late wife and now just myself, we/I always had/have a room with a balcony. On that balcony there were 2 chairs, a table and an ashtray. When I had a cigarette, I ensured that the doors were closed to avoid the smell of the smoke entering the bedroom. I have never smoked in the house, always outside in a separate building. As stated, the positives outweigh the negative but I still feel aggrieved that we, as smokers, are being victimised. Overall, an enjoyable stay but that one thing is why I awarded 4 stars on my review.

A most welcoming hotel run expertly by Italian hosts. The rooms are very clean with some more accessible than others. Best to give them a ring to find out. The spa area with a big indoor pool and good sauna (though a little small) are very clean and the gardens are beautiful with plenty of sun loungers. Take afternoon tea in the garden or on the large terrace. The adjacent restaurant, Wellington, is separate to the hotel, though again most of the Italian staff have worked there for many years. The food is superb. The breakfast of the hotel is taken upstairs in the Wellington Restaurant. You have to climb some very steep and winding stairs which cannot be done by people with any disabilities. Though if you ask the head waiter he may allow you to take breakfast in the downstairs restaurant. Breakfasts are stupendous. The hotel is on a steep hill which makes going into St Peter Port easy, but by gosh, climbing up back to the hotel can be a challenge. Ask the hotel, they may run a shuttle bus a couple of times a day.

Se vuoi vivere perfettamente, non restare all'Hotel Braye Beach. È un piacevole senso di caldo quando si entra e si sono accolti come un amico perso. Tutto il personale che abbiamo incontrato è molto gentile e utile. Non potevano fare abbastanza per assicurarsi che tu avessi un tempo perfetto.Uno deve dire jumbo al bellissimo staff del Kenya. Le viste sulla spiaggia dalla nostra stanza erano splendide. Alimento di lusso, una camera confortevole e un servizio che troverai difficile battere ovunque nel mondo.

Sono tornato a casa ieri dopo un bellissimo soggiorno all'Hotel La Fregate. Abbiamo soggiornato per 4 notti e abbiamo ricevuto la stanza 114, questa stanza era molto speciale, che ci ha adattato bene mentre celebravamo il nostro Anniversario di matrimonio d'oro. Le viste dal nostro balcone erano del porto e erano sorprendenti, un luogo perfetto per rilassarsi con un bicchiere di vino. Il ristorante dell'hotel è stato un'ottima esperienza, il cibo è stato molto ben cotto e delizioso. Lo stesso vale per il colazione. Il personale del ristorante è molto professionale, amichevole, che ha reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più speciale. L'intera squadra ha un atteggiamento molto accogliente e fa sentire la gente molto a casa. Per citare solo alcuni, dobbiamo fare una menzione speciale al prossimo Richard e Riham, al momento della ricezione, e Ruth in ufficio. Siamo stati seguiti da Walter, il manager del ristorante, Rishab e Abdul e altri che non abbiamo menzionato, ma fanno una grande squadra e tutti ci hanno guardati molto bene. Abbiamo avuto delle belle conversazioni con Simon Dufty, il direttore generale che era sempre intorno per aiutare e consigliare di assicurarsi che tutto fosse buono per gli ospiti. Siamo stati così felici di stare qui e non possiamo fare nulla di male, bene fatto la squadra a La Fregate Vedi tutti l'anno prossimo!! Jackie e Terry Devine.
