I recently had the pleasure of staying at a youth hostel that truly stood out for its exceptional qualities. Nestled in a residential area, its location was incredibly convenient, offering a tranquil retreat just a bike ride away from the city center—less than 10 minutes to be exact. This made for peaceful nights, ensuring a restful sleep in a safe environment. The hostel is run by a delightful couple whose hospitality knew no bounds. They were not only eager to assist with any issues that arose but also went above and beyond by providing bicycles. This thoughtful touch significantly enhanced my mobility around Houston, allowing me to reach various destinations swiftly. What set this hostel apart was the attention to detail and the array of complimentary amenities, including cookies, milk, cereal, coffee, and tea. The cleanliness and smart technology throughout the house contributed to a seamless stay, making it the best hostel experience I've ever had. The bathroom towels folded into swan shapes were a testament to the owners' dedication to detail, adding a touch of elegance and care. The warmth of the place was akin to being at home, with the owners always ready for a chat, eager to answer questions, and share their stories and experiences. A highlight for me was the world map on the living room wall, where guests could pin their home countries—a fun and interactive way to connect with fellow travelers. In summary, this hostel was more than just a place to stay; it felt like a home, or perhaps more accurately, a homestay. It's undoubtedly the best hostel I've ever stayed in globally, blending the comfort of a home with the adventurous spirit of a hostel.

Ho programmato un soggiorno alla data sbagliata. Il manager mi ha pagato cinque dollari. Non un grande sconto, ma ogni cosa aiuta. La stanza era molto pulita, anche se aveva un forte odore di biancheria. Molti contraenti e le loro famiglie si trovano all'hotel e parlano fuori dalla nostra porta fino a tardi e al prossimo pomeriggio.

This was the cleanest and nicest experience I have ever had at a budget motel. The staff was really nice. It was a very busy weekend for the town (George Strait) and I don't think they were used to being fully booked up on one night and having to turn over the entire hotel for the next night being booked up with new guests. We arrived a little after check out and they didn't have a room quite ready yet, but we didn't have to wait long and they were very nice and apologetic about it. The property has clearly been renovated recently and was very clean. I share the same complaint as other reviews regarding the shower not having a door, curtain, or lip to catch the water and heat. We just kept the door shut and put a towel down and it wasn't that big of a deal, but definitely a design flaw. The door into the room also had some fitting issues. There were clear gaps. Luckily, this didn't cause any safety, noise, or temperature control issues, but again this was a clear design / fitting issue. Loved that they had a Firestick TV in the room and I was able to sign into my streaming services, because who watches live TV anymore? JK JK. We were right next to the highway, so you could hear cars passing by. If you like white noise while sleeping, this is a great substitute, but if you need dead quite, they offer free earplugs at the desk! The bed was not the best, but all-in-all this was a good place to hang your hat and call home for a night.

Non era rimasto a The Kendall per diversi anni, così mi aspettavo questa visita. Questa è una proprietà più vecchia e storica, quindi sapevo cosa aspettarmi. E' stato bello vedere che il bar e il ristorante erano aperti. La rinovazione è stata davvero ben fatta. La stanza all’aperto ha offerto una vista molto bella, ma la stanza era una delusione. Il divario che si trovava intorno alla porta non permetteva di catturare il blocco di chiusura, ma anche una grande quantità di luce nella stanza. Il letto o la stanza si involucrarono, così il letto era più alto del letto; la materassi, e io uso il termine, mi sentiva così vecchia come io. Mi ricordai i letti di pene nella bocca di mia nonna, quando ti faceva girare in mezzo al letto. Il bagno nella vecchia piastra di coda di coda ha sputato l'acqua sul cortile del bagno in un foglio di libro che si appoggiava sul muro e ha soffocato i pochi articoli che avevamo messo lì. Grazie a Dio, l’approvvigionamento di asciugamani nella stanza era sufficiente per pulire l’acqua sul pavimento. Il grande bug d’acqua non sembrava preoccuparsi dell’umidità aggiunta. Mi piace davvero questo motel, spero che i proprietari prendano il tempo di notare le piccole cose che rendeno piacevole rimanere in una proprietà più vecchia.

You get what you pay for. The building is old with cracks and wear and tear. My door's frame looked like someone had kicked it in at one point. The tv worked to let me see tubi at least but kept shutting off at 11:30 pm. It had no pests but I did find a spider just before I left the hotel room on my checkout day. It's located near the beach and a walk of about 15 minutes from the lexignton and the state aquarium. No food no room service but I knew that going in. I will say the ac worked very well and I had to turn it up to avoid being frozen to death, although everytime it stoped it sounded like someone was trying to get into my room. Freaked me out at first until I realised what it was. Building also seems to be off center due to age. They are developing the area so maybe the owners will sell it once the land's price goes up. All in all if you are looking for a cheap place this is the place for you.

Una delle migliori località di tutta la Padre del Sud. La porta della mia stanza era letteralmente solo passi dalla spiaggia con parcheggio proprio vicino. Questo rendeva molto facile venire e andare senza ascensori o lunghe passeggiate verso la zona di parcheggio. Sulla parte inferiore, c’erano persone sul ponte frontale condiviso fino a mezzanotte, in fila, e non erano troppo rumorosi, ma hanno giocato tutto il tempo. Avrei potuto farlo senza di ciò, ma non era sufficiente per evitare che io divertissimi. Se la pace e la solitudine sono ciò che avete bisogno, probabilmente dovreste considerare di rimanere altrove. Altrimenti, questo è un luogo ideale a un prezzo molto ragionevole. Non ho visitato il bar e non c'era servizio alimentare disponibile al momento del mio soggiorno.
