Questo hotel è davvero fantastico e pulitissimo. Il problema è che ho prenotato l'hotel durante la Golden Week, quindi era affollato, ma ho comunque trascorso un piacevole soggiorno. La stazione di Kyoto è a 5 minuti a piedi. La cucina e gli spazi comuni sono davvero belli e accoglienti, inoltre c'è una terrazza panoramica da cui si può ammirare la strada circostante dall'alto. A mio parere, ci sarebbero alcuni aspetti da migliorare: aggiungere più spazio in cabina per borse e oggetti, le luci all'interno della cabina erano troppo luminose e non regolabili. Nel complesso, però, è un ottimo ostello con un ottimo servizio, alloggi e posizione. Vorrei davvero tornare a soggiornare qui se dovessi tornare a Kyoto. Ma forse mi daranno una camera singola, hehe.

Очень специфичный отель. В нём нет центрального отопления, из-за чего по вечерам и ночью невозможно было засыпать. Работает кондиционер, который как бы должен заменять это отопление, но он не справляется со своей задачей. Из минусов отмечу — туалет и раковина для умывания находится на улице. Вам, чтобы умыться с утра, нужно собрать все силы в кулак, чтобы в ноябре выйти на улицу в лёгкой одежде и умываться исключительно холодной водой. Еду я не бронировала в этом отеле, хотя по утрам давали водянистую рисовую кашу, которую ели неохотно. Из плюсов выделю то, что зданию уже 100 лет и это действительно самое традиционное жильё, которое можно снять по низкой стоимости. При этом будьте готовы тому, что за ВСЕ необходимые услуги и принадлежности вам будет необходимо заплатить. Полотенца для тела и лица - платные, зубные принадлежности тоже. Однозначно, при поездке в Киото в этот отель больше не вернусь

My experience was perfect. The front desk attendant was very helpful and kind. The room was exactly like in the photos. Good facilities and she let us leave our luggage until 4PM. I highly recommend this place. The best guesthouse I have stayed so far.

Pour un voyage seul, je recommande.  Bien situé, à proximité du bus et à quelques minutes à pied du métro.  Par contre si besoin de quelqu’un à la réception, il n’y a personne de 21h à 10h.

I really loved this place. It felt super cosy, I was looking to stay in a traditional Japanese house and this scratched the itch. Check-in is not too confusing, you just follow the instructions provided. Yukatas available to rent. My room was very clean, and I didn't have any problems with noise. Location is good, near two bus stops and a 15min walk from Kyoto Railway station. A highlight is the public bath nearby - highly recommend going!!!

La posizione non lontana dalla stazione di Kyoto non era cattiva e il quartiere era tranquillo. La stanza è stata una grande stanza per stare da sola e il personale è stato amichevole e bello! Il letto è pulito, ma sembra che ci sia polvere nella stanza se non è ben ventilata. (Se c'è polvere, è lasciato dal naso) La giacca sul muro era mancante, quindi non potevo mettere i miei vestiti. Spero che il lavabo condiviso e la tavola del tè siano puliti meglio! E era un po'come pagare solo un asciugamano per quattro notti. Se ci sono alcuni miglioramenti, sembra essere l'hotel perfetto

Stanza semplice, bagni e docce in comune. Pulizia da migliorare, i bagni non venivano puliti tutti i giorni e in 5 notti non é stata pulita la stanza, nemmeno svuotato il cestino. Asciugamani a pagamento...non mi era mai capitato negli altri ostelli in cui ho soggiornato. Purtroppo non é disponibile una lavatrice, alla reception ci hanno consigliato delle lavanderie a gettoni nelle vicinanze. Disponibile una cucina comune ben fornita di tutti gli utensili. Posizione comoda vicino alla metro e ad alcuni punti di interesse.

This is a small hostel with an absolutely awesome location. It is a walking distance from Gion and several iconic Kyoto destinatinations, which is truly the best feature it has. However, the dormitory itself was also pretty nice. It had exceptionally clean and well-equiped shower and bath as well as small kitchen with little public space and even a coin washing machine. The hostel, unfortunately, lacks a bit when it comes to storing luggage. I had to keep it in a dormitory corridor, which was not very wide in a first place. However no compaints there. For a short term stay, considering the price, this may very well be the best option

This is the worst accommodation experience I’ve had during my trips to Japan. In the past, my visits to Japan have always been perfect—truly a paradise for travelers from around the world. However, lately, I’ve noticed a surge of Indian people in places like convenience stores and hotel front desks, which has led to some negative experiences for me along the way. I usually brushed them off as minor, but this hotel stay was unacceptable and I have to speak up. At check-in, the Indian front desk staff was indifferent and dismissive, which already set a bad tone. Then, when I went to bed around midnight, I discovered that the room only had two flat bedsheets—no duvet cover (comforter cover) and no pillowcases at all. It was very late, so I didn’t want to disturb anyone by calling reception again, and I ended up sleeping uncomfortably without proper bedding—yet another hassle caused by the Indian staff. If the hotel management sees this review, please seriously reconsider hiring Indian staff. They are ruining Japan’s reputation and its world-famous service industry! I hope this feedback helps improve things for future guests.

If you can, definitely ask for the bottom bunk, it was a pain in the ass climbing up and down with the top not having a head of head space. They do provide lockers with keys to lock up your valuables. They also provide some commonly used items on top of the fridge. Shower is in the room but washroom is shared in the communal area on every floor, the toilet stalls are extremely tight, it was a challenge to sit down, will def be problematic for taller individuals. It is a bit of a walk from the station but it is very quiet at night, everyone in the room was very respectful and tried to minimize the sound as much as possible. Overall, aside from the toilet being way too crammed, everything was good.
