I had a flight with an overnight layover in Qingdao, so I opted to stay locally in a hotel. 'Locally' meant riding two stops on the subway, and catching the bus for two stops which altogether cost me less than £1. Probably about $1 US, or €1. However, I had to wait a while for the bus, so it took me about an hour. Upon arrival, the landlord treated me like a king and was exceptionally helpful. I can speak Chinese, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless people can speak a little Chinese and can read basic sentences. The hotel is fairly basic but, as I said, the proprietors are extremely accommodating and told me to ask if I needed anything. The landlord showed me where to eat locally (and physically took me there!) and when I left, he showed me where the nearest bus stop is (photo). I couldn't make the hot water work for a shower, but had I asked I'm sure they would have sorted it. I was in a bit of a rush in the morning and I didn't want to make a fuss. The bed was hard (like I Chinese prefer) but I slept well. There was no kettle in the room, but boiling water was provided. The area is out in the country, so if you want to see how ordinary Chinese live, this is a good opportunity. City hotels are quite westernised but this place is authentic Chinese. Pictures are of the bus stop and the subway station. Although I was told that a taxi might only cost me a little over a pound.

L'hotel è situato nell'appartamento residenziale vicino al mare. È un po' difficile trovare l'indirizzo esatto dell'ostello anche se avevo chiesto alla gente locale dove si trova l'ostello. La stanza è molto piccola in 2 persone condivise.

Non posso semplicemente lodare il team di questo ostello abbastanza. Penso che sarebbe sicuro dire ghat il mio soggiorno nell'ostello DY Qingdao lo ha fatto top-3 delle mie esperienze del ostello mai in tutto il mondo. Pulizia immaculata, grandi asciugamani, grande lana, splendida posizione e design e il miglior progetto di birra al bar ostello servito da dipendenti amichevoli e aiutanti. Buon lavoro! Sarò baaaack!

The hostel is not in the city centre. If you don’t like to walk it can be quite long to get into the city centre but there are many solutions around like the bus and the bike so I think the location is good. Plenty restaurant around ! The room is very clean, the bed are very confortable I slept very well in it. The staff is really nice and ready to help you anytime ! I would definitely recommend it ^^

這個民宿整體房間環境來講是比較樸實無華的，然後很細心的貼了好多標語。然後他的樓下就是超意興，然後他整個是一個商業區，不過這個商業區有一家賣串串的特別好吃，在其他的很多都是一些飯店你可以堂食，但很多都會提供對外的一個外賣。 老闆非常健談，而且這麼説，就是你睡的床，老闆也睡，哪張床剩下老闆睡哪張。所以衞生這個問題你們大可放心，老闆主業就是醫生！！！

Molto atmosfera, pianoforte, due lati, un super poeta, il capo ha molte mani con me.La notte tutti si siederanno insieme per parlare.La notte ci saranno porte bloccate e tutti si renderanno conto che ridurre il volume non influisce sul riposo degli altri. Il punto più che mi piace è avere un frigorifero che può congelare il latte yogurt che mi piace.

Si trova proprio accanto alla University Road di Qingdao, e proprio di fronte c'è un supermercato famoso per essere stato utilizzato come set per le riprese di serie TV, quindi è un posto divertente per guardare i cinesi che si preparano per le riprese di certificazione. Sembra di stare a casa di un cinese, e sembra di essere in una casa ristrutturata. Lavano i panni gratuitamente e li stendono al sole, quindi è una bella sensazione. La cosa interessante è che c'è una grotta misteriosa all'interno dell'alloggio, quindi vale assolutamente la pena entrarci. È inquietante. Tuttavia, non ci sono materassi sui letti, solo pavimenti in legno duro, quindi chi ha difficoltà a dormire potrebbe preoccuparsi.

Here is my 2nd stay at You&Me Hostel and everything is always great ! The hostel is big,spacious,clean with every amenities needed ! ( we have now hot tea 🥰🥹) ! The rooms are very safe and clean ( we all have our own electronic key ) ! Shampoo,soap toothbrushes are also provided ! ( I forgot to mention it in my 1st review 🤭) and of course the staff as amazing as always ( the mum cooked dumplings for the guests during the national day, such a great gesture 🥰🥰🥰) ! And the gentleman always so kind and professional! Always willing to help for anything , even if it’s not related to the hostel ! I’ll be back in 2 month in Qingdao and I’ll stay here again ! 🥰🥰🥰 see you very soon !

Il miglior ostello che abbia mai fatto! Questo ostello è stato aperto di recente, quindi grazie a questo non ci sono attualmente molti ospiti che soggiornano, che è grande per un soggiorno tranquillo. Tutto è pulito, le camere e le bagni sono grandi e comode, e soprattutto il manager è davvero bello! L'area attorno all'ostello sembra anche essere nuovamente costruita (l'edificio dove l'ostello è anche non ha molte aziende al momento) e tutto è disponibile a piedi. Se devo restare a Weihai di nuovo, sarò certamente tornato a questo posto!
