Great modern condo located across from the beach & just 1 block from Locals Point. The condo is located on the 9th floor with great views of the beach and ocean. Fully equipped for you to enjoy your beach get away. 2 bedrooms with a/c, the master bedroom has a double bed with a private bathroom. The other bedroom has a bunk bed - full size bed on the bottom and single bed on the top. The double beds have new good quality Resiflex mattressesThere is a second full bathroom.Good WIFI throughoutThe spaceThe entire living room area feels like a big balcony with the sliders opened. You can see and hear the ocean.Guest accessYou will have private access to the entire apartment. It's all about the view right? So close to the Ocean you can hear soft soothing waves and the view is spectacular! There is no one above you and no one on either side. Unit #13 is apart of a 16 units condominium building, located on the 4th floor looking over the whole town.Everything you want in one space - laundry, hot water tank, full kitchen, dishwasher, patio overlooking the ocean, wifi, fans or a/c and it's all set in an amazing community! Our cleaning lady, Nancy, comes on every other Wednesday, so if you are a long rental, make sure to say hi :) Cupboard by the main door has flashlights, umbrella, grocery carrier, plastic bags and other things you may find you will need.Olon is located about 2 ½ hours from Guayaquil airport. You can take a bus to Olon or book a driver in advance. It is sandwiched between two cliffs and has an amazing 15 kilometer stretch of beach to walk, run or surf. Surf is a beach break and perfect for beginners to intermediate. Surf schools are around (we highly recommend Ecuador Outdoor). The building is mixed with other rental units and full-time residence, all very friendly & respectful. Olon is a quiet town, were most restaurants and bars close at midnight (some open all night during festivals / holidays). There is a mix of restaurants for all dietary needs OR feel free to make your own food in the beautiful kitchen, which is fully stocked. In town you have lots of places to choose from for morning coffees and breakfast, as well as lunch and dinners. There is a fabulous market in the morning with fresh fish, shrimp and other things or wait for the truck to come around to purchase, along with bread, fruit and vegetables. Quick walk to the highway were you could get transportation to any towns or cities near and around the province. Montanita, which has a huge nightlife, and lots of shopping. It is a $.50 bus ride which takes 5 min. or a $2 cab ride that takes 3 min. We are situated on a large shallow bay, but twelve miles from shore the water is 19,877 feet deep. 'Salinas is the most well known bill fishing location and seasonally offers good fishing for large striped marlin as well as blue marlin and other gamefish such as big eye tuna. The other popular Blue Marlin destination in the country is Manta which is usually in season when Salinas is not. A large fleet of sport fishing vessels operates out of both towns. Blues in this area are known to reach large sizes, with the most notable capture being a 1,014 lb fish boated by local angler Jorge Jurado which formerly held the IGFA 80 lb class record. ' In the day, We are told that Hemingway may have fished for Blue and Black Marlin in the Salinas, Santa Elena area? Great Sunsets! A few minutes walk on the Malecon and several others on street in the back. One of our favorite restaurants is the Mar Azul which is on the same street as the back of the Hotel Barcelo Miramar, a couple of blocks down toward the ice cream shop. Across the road the water is warm and the waves are gentle, so your children can play in the water while you watch from your rented beach chair and umbrella. You can purchase ice cream, sandwiches, coconuts, or a bottle of beer from beach vendors that cater to your every need. I love this place!The Salinas Market is a few blocks away and restaurants, and shops are up and down the Malecon where we are located. Food is great with lunches around $4.50 about fresh fried fish! The word for market in Spanish is 'Mercado,' Just ask anyone where it is located. 'Donde esta el Mercado por favor?'
