The compound and apartment are both very nice. Check-in was not difficult for us but only because we used WeChat and spoke Mandarin. Amenities were sufficient, though the kitchen lacked a microwave. The kitchen initially also lacked cooking supplies but our host provided them upon our request. The host is very responsive on WeChat. The compound has a playground and a few shops, and there are plenty of small restaurants just outside the compound. The location of the compound is right across the Chaobai river from Beijing, very close to one of the three bridges in the area. Crossing the bridge into Beijing by car requires passing a border check station which is slightly inconvenient as a foreigner since you will likely be required to go into the station to register every time. However, after the first crossing, subsequent crossings were very fast for us (1-2min processing time) and our rideshare drivers waited for us with no problems. Most of the time, the compound is ~20-25min by car to LuCheng subway station in Beijing, which is currently the closest subway station to the compound. However, during the morning rush hour on workdays, the border check station going into Beijing will have traffic jams up to 30+min. A rideshare (DiDi or Hello Ride) to/from LuCheng subway station costs around 20-30CNY each way. There are also public buses that go directly to/from LuCheng subway station but they only run during rush hour, and passengers still have to get off at the border check station for processing. This border check station is currently a big inconvenience, but current road and subway constructions in the area may alleviate this inconvenience in the near future. Currently, it is difficult to find short term apartment rentals that accept foreigners in/near Beijing, so this stay was great value for money, despite us having paid ~2-3x the cost of rent for locals, it was still priced below tiny rooms in most Beijing hotels.

This was without question one of the most beautiful and memorable stays I have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Their kindness, warmth, and attention to detail were exceptional throughout our stay. Every interaction felt sincere and heartfelt, which made the experience even more special. The property itself is stunning. Surrounded by mountains and nature, it offers a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a true escape from everyday life. The infinity pool was absolutely breathtaking—especially at sunset. Swimming while overlooking the mountains felt like something from a dream. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail had clearly been carefully considered, and the views from the room were spectacular. The breakfast and afternoon tea were another highlight. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and presented with great care. More importantly, you could feel the effort and hospitality behind every meal. It wasn’t just food—it was an experience that reflected the passion and dedication of the team. What truly sets this place apart is the people. The staff consistently went above and beyond to make sure every guest felt cared for and at home. I have stayed in many hotels and guesthouses, but this place is truly special. If you are looking for beautiful scenery, tranquility, exceptional service, and a memorable experience, I cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Le strutture sono adeguate al nostro tipo di viaggio, ovvero trekking e visite alla Grande Muraglia. La posizione è eccellente, con facile accesso a diverse parti della Grande Muraglia. La colazione e la cena erano incluse nel soggiorno e la semplice cucina locale, con i suoi piatti buoni, ha soddisfatto appieno i nostri gusti. A completare il tutto, l'attenzione impeccabile del proprietario e della sua famiglia. Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso e indimenticabile.

Il nostro soggiorno nella Shanghai Premium Guesthouse è stato un'esperienza incredibilmente tranquilla e rigiovanente! La stanza era accogliente e ben progettata, con elementi tradizionali cinesi misti con servizi moderni. La posizione era perfetta per esplorare la zona montagna di Wuling, e noi amavamo svegliare il suono degli uccelli e vedere le vigne di montagna miste ogni mattina, le tracce di cammino vicine erano ben mantenute e offrono una vista fantastica del paesaggio. Anche se era un po' lontano, è esattamente quello che cercavamo - una vera e propria fuga dalla vita urbana. Il colazione locale era delizioso e conteneva ingredienti freschi e organici dalla zona. Il cielo notturno era chiaro e chiaro dalle luci della città, un luogo perfetto per le coppie che cercavano una via romantica o per chiunque cercasse di riconnettersi con la natura. Siamo sicuri di raccomandare questo gemello nascosto a tutti i nostri amici e familiari, e di ritornare nelle varie stagioni per sperimentare la bellezza cambiante delle montagne. Il signor Alan e la squadra hanno avuto così buona forza di accogliere la mia richiesta, da aiutarci a prendere in stazione durante il tempo di picco, proprio durante il nostro soggiorno, fino a che non siamo andati a controllare. L'unità è perfetta, tutto quello che serve è disponibile per l'uso. Niente è stato più che grato di averlo e la sua squadra aiutandomi e la famiglia durante il nostro soggiorno. Grazie ancora, e speriamo davvero di tornare.

I believe my friends and I spent Christmas eve here. Being an exchange student from England, far from home, and my friends and classmates from Latvia and Cambodia, we needed somewhere homely and comfortable to stay. This place was exactly what we needed. We stayed here for one night in the middle of winter as part of our road trip from Beijing to Wutaishan, following the sections of the Great Wall. We turned up after dark, we were welcomed with a big smile and slept with ease after the long drive. In the morning I woke up early, found a spot in the courtyard garden and opened my Christmass cards. The owners dog immediately rolled over to be petted and for the next hour I had good company, drank tea and enjoyed the peace. The owners awoke to find me outside, probably thought I was a ****** and so, immediately lit their fire in the garden. They saw me drinking tea so got the iron kettle boiling over the heat of the flames. My mates awoke to this and joined me and the boss by the fire. The outside temperature was negative, but we were warm, happy and ready for the day ahead - exploring Baishishan. The boss also showed us his great tea collection. I want to thank the owners for a short but great stay and I highly recommend. I would like to come back in spring to see their courtyard in full bloom.

Si trova a soli 2 minuti a piedi dalla biglietteria della Grande Muraglia. La camera era pulita e i bastoncini di pasta fritta fatti in casa e i panini al vapore per colazione erano deliziosi 😋 I proprietari sono stati molto accoglienti; quando abbiamo chiamato dal centro visitatori, sono venuti a prenderci in macchina. Quando siamo andati via, dato che i proprietari non erano in casa, la madre del proprietario è venuta appositamente con un triciclo elettrico per riportarci al centro visitatori 🤣 Ci tornerei sicuramente!

Esperienza meravigliosa. Il proprietario è una persona squisita. Ci ha aiutato in tutto, ci ha lasciato la camera oltre orario per poterci rinfrescare dopo il trekking, e si è informato per noi per il pullman per tornare a Beijing. Parla molto bene inglese. La Farmhouse è molto carina, a due passi dal Middle Gate della Muraglia di Jinshanling. Di fronte alla Farmhouse c'è un delizioso ristorante gestito da due nonni. Ce lo ha consigliato il proprietsrio! Fantastico. Cibo buonissimo. E molte opzioni vegetariane. Consiglio a tutti di passare una notte qui a Luaping in questa deliziosa casetta e a contatto con la gente del posto.

Value for money accomodation. Very clean by a singaporean's standard Location is directly opposite the fulong four season town物业服务中心 canteen, open for breakfast lunch and dinner, if you are too tired to head to chongli town after a full day of skiing. Boss lent me his card so i could get discount at the canteen. The location is ideal, a few stops by internal shuttle bus to fulong ski resort, shuttle bus stop is just downstairs. And it takes bout 10 mins to walk to chongli town where there is plenty of restaurants and ski equipment rental. I rented my entire set of ski equipment from the boss' shop, he gave me a good discount as i was staying for a long period. It is the cheapest rental i saw in the whole chongli town. And his ski equipment are newly purchased from french brand rossignol and very clean. Other than that, boss also offered two way transport to chongli railway station and helped with booking of ski tickets, ski instructor etc. He even recommended a good sports massage place to me after i had sore muscles from skiing! Basically, you just need to book accomodation thru boss and he handles the rest for a stress-free ski holiday!
