Mia moglie forse per compensare alcune brutte recensioni lette prima di partire ha dato 5. Un po’ troppo secondo me. Abbiamo trascorso tre giorni in questa struttura posizionata su una bella spiaggia ( uguale x tutti i resort presenti ) ed abbiamo avuto fortuna con le maree che possono avere dislivelli importanti lasciando la spiaggia “ a secco “ fino al reef per un po’ di ore. La struttura è’ tenuta bene, pulita pero’ si potrebbe fare meglio e mi spiego. Sorvoliamo sullo scarafaggio in stanza che può’ capitare e non ha mai fatto male a nessuno , il primo giorno si è rotta la macchina del caffè e non è stata riparata, abbiamo chiesto al bar due noci di cocco e ne avevano solo una, abbiamo ordinato due piatti al ristorante e se ne sono dimenticati uno, il secondo giorno non hanno rifatto la stanza pensando che fosse l’ultimo, al momento del check out ci hanno addebitato dei conti di un altra stanza non firmati da me ( subito tolti dal conto senza discutere e chiedendo scusa ) insomma un po’ troppi piccoli inconvenienti. Pero’ il posto garantisce massimo relax, il massaggio e’ stato tra i migliori provati il cibo ed i piatti a disposizione buono e vario. La colazione non “ regale “ ma con tutto quello che serve. Обязвтельно вернемся! Огромное спасибо лияно внимательной и заботливой Nam, мэенеджеру .Ms June, всему персоналу Иуебунчу за гостеприимство, домашнюю атмосферу и заботу. Мы бронироовали улучшенный номео на 2 этаже, его и получили. Нгмер очень просторный, чистый, кровать широкая, с удобным матрасом, белоснежным постельныи бельем. Весь необходимый комплект пллотенец тоже присутсьвовад, включая пляжные. Фен, вместительный холодильник. Напор воды в дуще отличнный, ( по опыьу знаю, что на маленьких островах с этим проблема). Завтрак очень вкусныый, сытный, на выбор из 4х вариантов ( см.фото) В течение дня можнл пить чпй, кофе, всё необходимое всегда есть в кухне-столовой. Единственное, не всегда хорошо работал интернет, но нас это не напрягало, потому что нам он нужен был редко. Гостевой дом отличнл расположег, всё рядом. От причала можно дойти пешком по прямой гдавной улицн, на которой и кафе, и магазины, и турбюро, и аренда мотобсйков. В то же время, совсем рядом с пляжем. Море в этом месте мелкое из'за сильного отлива, но моюно пройти метров на 50 левее, там море .быстрее возвращаеься на место. Если повторим остров Мук, осьановиися только в Мукбунчу.

This is a tough one to review. On the one hand, you have the prime location on one of the most beautiful islands in Thailand if not in the world. On the other hand, the resort itself is very average for the price. To quote the resort’s website, ”The Reef Resort in Koh Kradan Thailand is a corner of paradise and with 18 luxury beachfront and sea view rooms will allow you to enjoy the crystal emerald Andaman Sea and the lush tropical gardens.” I fully agree on the beauty of the paradise island, but the above seems a bit of an overstatement in terms of the actual accommodation. The rooms are clean but very simple. Basically just a bed (decent one), a fridge, AC and an outdoor bathroom. The decor is very minimalistic but that’s what we expected. The rooms do not really have much a view to speak of. They are tightly placed in a U-shaped building, giving you a distant feeling of staying in a tropical motel. To have any privacy, you need to keep the curtains closed all the time. The sea view is limited and indirect, blocked by the trees and the bar hut. What you mainly look at is a sunburnt yellow/brown lawn (at the least during the hot season) and the pool. The difference to some of the neighboring resorts with their well kept gardens is striking. It seems that the Reef has decided not to upkeep the garden, maybe to save resources. During our stay we did not see a gardener around. If this is their choice, I would rather suggest them to replace the lawn with sand as a continuation of the beach. I would also pay more attention to the overall appearance of the property. Eg. the building where they have table tennis and a small kiosk was really messy and unorganized. The breakfast was simple but adequate with white toast, sausage, bacon, pancakes, a couple of warm options plus some fruit (pineapple and watermelon). Eggs were prepared by order. I would suggest them to improve the way the breakfast is presented - it was not very very attractive with many food items served on foil. What was really annoying is that there were lots of flies all around during the breakfast hours. I know this is something normal in a tropical environment but at least they could try to manage the situation, eg by very regularly raking the sand on which the tables are placed. I never saw them raking the sand although this could help to mitigate the root problem by removing the eggs etc. We had most of our meals at their restaurant. The Thai food was decent but not spectacular. The prices were reasonable. Some of the waiters could practice showing a happier face with their customers. The beach is spectacular with a coral reef just in front. The resort has canoes, SUP boards and snorkeling equipment for their guests free of charge. The swing in the beach is also great. I also recommend waking up at 6am to see the sunrise, it’s really beautiful. It can get a bit busy later in the morning and around noon when day trippers arrive (this mainly affects the neighboring Seven Sea

Un posto molto buono, la vista sulla spiaggia è piacevole, c'è pochi turisti molto tranquilli, il servizio alberghiero ha anche un buon sapore di cibo caldo. La casa qui non può essere scelta molto. Qui è davvero rilassante, cioè l'acqua di lavaggio non è stata ripristinata come normale è sempre stata una pressione, Non posso lasciare il bagno, ma devo tornare qui!Inoltre, suggerisco di cambiare l'acqua della piscina direttamente in acqua del mare, o aggiungere una parte dell'acqua del mare, in modo che non desinfetti e sia più adatto per nuotare!

Siamo rimasti a Sivalai per 6 notti con il nostro ragazzo di 10 mesi, e che piacere era. Siamo rimasti in una delle villa frontali della spiaggia, che era spaziosa e la struttura interna era bella e accogliente, con una vista brillante che tirava le tende ogni mattina. Il servizio del ristorante era grande, amichevole e di servizio, e la vasta gamma di cibi e bevande sul menu, lo faceva così non ci stanciamo di pranzo e cena al resort. La spiaggia al cima del ristorante era comunque più o meno inesistente, ma i tempi e le onde si sono spostati molto di sabbia da quando sono state prese le foto. Hanno fatto una barriera/stiva intorno al ristorante al tappeto, per tenere il più lungo di sabbia bianca pristina. Infine darò il motivo per non dare 5 stelle: il riscaldatore d'acqua calda non funzionava quando siamo arrivati. Una pressione idrica molto bassa nel doccia. Le distanze di 5 mm nel pavimento da una delle pareti 2/6 notti sono svegliate svegliando cani senza casa sulla spiaggia fuori di fronte (Svegliando per 30 minuti fino a quando ho deciso di andare a cacciarli da me) Servizi (bagno ecc. ) è stato un po' inghiottito Mi ha preso 3 giorni e molti tentativi di accedere al wifi perché ci hanno dato cattivi utenti. (dicono che il wifi non funziona per il fulmine, ma quando finalmente li convincei a farmi provare i nuovi utenti tutto ha funzionato bene, naturalmente) Due volte ho avuto 220v shock elettrico nel ristorante, una volta da un fan e una volta dalla tostatrice al colazione. Ciò detto, ci è stato davvero piacere il soggiorno e sicuramente torneremo indietro.

We LOVE this secret little island! So, me and my hubby travel a lot in Asia and Mook Island was a recommendation from one frequent traveler to another that usually go off the beaten path. And little did we know when we booked this place that it was run by an organisation who help buliding schools and pay for school fees in rural provinces (such as Trang), where the level of education is not comparable with Bangkok. So by living here, not only did we get to stay on a beach front hotel, but we supported a good cause at the same time. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly Italian girl and the hotel manager Kahlil who spoke very good english. After checking us in, when we came down to get some water from the refill station (as this place is striving to be more eco-friendly and sustainable = no plastic used and much more), Kahlil told us a bit about this place - and why some things are operated differently. When low season, he leaves the island to teach english in rural schools where the foundation is supporting with english teachers and also sometimes with tuition fees for some kids in the villages. That was both heart warming and surprising since we did not read about this in the reviews on TA prior to our booking. He then went on to tell us that all people working around the facilities are island born, mostly older women some with disabilities, that would not get a job anywhere else. Note that older here on the island means like 50 (which is no age). Sadly, these women are thought of to be no good to the other hotels and can't find a job anywhere else. So Koh Mook Riviera Beach Resort has hired them to get their lives on track. (The other resorts on the island only hire english speaking young people from the mainland). We stayed in a river front room on second floor with a beautiful view over the beach and the sea. Me and hubby are both adventure lovers but still like a nice comfy bed at night. So to set the standard of expectations here, we would HIGHLY recommend the beach front rooms, especially on the second floor. They are newly renovated equipped with WIFI and have enough space for big suitcases and to chill around the room if you want AC. There's also this outdoor section in front of your room where you have the nicest sunset views we've seen so far in Thailand! Since this is the room we stayed in, I can't say about the bungalows. However, the money that the Resort makes, that is not firstly put into the construction of a new school in Trang province, that money is left for the hotel manager to upgrade the rooms and bungalows one at the time. And since this is family driven, apart from all the island women working the kitchen etc, Kahlil and family is renovating whenever they find the time and money in between. The pool and facilities are good, simple and clean, really like an island living with a kind of family friendly feeling.
