Portogallo: hotel con palestra nella provincia di Distretto di Portalegre

This was our second visit to this hotel and it really is a lovely place. The building is a converted convent and the convention has been beautifully done. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice in a buffet style. The staff are friendly and attentive, especially the breakfast and Bar staff. We first visited not long after the hotel had opened and it was noticeably busier on this visit. Elvas is a lovely place to wander round. The fortifications, castle, small ally ways, churches, gardens & museums are a joy to explore. It also has some great quality restaurants. Would highly recommend Adega Regional, Recanto de São Paulo & especially Acontece. There is plenty of free parking around the hotel if you are traveling by car and it makes a great base for exploring the area, even nipping over the border into Spain. Look forward to returning again.

Hotel de linhas modernas, pessoal simpático e afável, quarto espaçoso com uma bela vista para a piscina. Pequeno almoço dentro do expectável mas a surpresa estava guardada para a excelente qualidade do restaurante Chaparro o que nos deixou amplamente felizes com a decisão tomada de reserva com meia pensão. Apenas uma ressalva para a manutenção necessária, nomeadamente no tecto da piscina interior e em alguns pormenores do quarto mas que não alteram a nossa vontade de voltar.

Hotel moderno e bem localizado no centro de Portalegre, sendo fácil o passeio pela cidade apenas a pé. Quarto moderno, com muita luz e muito espaço. O pequeno-almoço é variado, mas gostaria de ver um pouco mais de cuidado com alguns detalhes, por exemplo, os sumos estavam pouco frescos e alguns alimentos um pouco secos, julgo eu devido ao calor… o colchão é quente e as almofadas são muito baixas e muito quentes também.

We had booked a two-day stay in “Alter do Chão” at the hotel “Vila Galé de Alter do Chão and stayed in the Solar of the hotel. Both the main building and the Solar have an outdoor swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers. The room was very clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable, and we were not bothered by noise from the people at the pool. The breakfast was buffet style and there was more than enough choice, something for everyone. We had booked half board and in the evening this was also in buffet form, for people who want it differently, they can also eat á la carte, which of course can take a little longer. The reception is a bit on the slow side, but all in all not too bad, the staff is super friendly, the only downside is the road from the reception to the Solar, which has no pavement and is very uneven. Result with the high temperature, a lot of dust is stirred up, which can be a problem if you have to walk to the restaurant, and certainly when it rains (5 minutes on foot), there is also more than enough parking space at the solar. This hotel is certainly worth recommending, it has horses and a allot of birds of prey with museum.

Tra tutti gli alloggi che abbiamo scelto per questo viaggio in Portogallo, il ”Montargil Monte Novo” resterà il top. Grazie infinite a Teresa (accogliente, disponibile e chiaro nelle sue spiegazioni), Joao (accogliente, sorridente, Ruben (sorridente e servibile) e il capo Miguel Varda (pettinato con una cucina originale e delicata, tutto con sapore, grazie ancora per la piccola schiuma di fungo al nostro arrivo) per il vostro sorriso, il vostro accoglienza, La vostra generosità. Dalla nostra entrata alla nostra partenza, è stato un senza colpa: camera molto stilizzata e impeccabile, splendidamente decorata, vista splendida, lettera ideale, bagno in alto, ristorante fuori dal comune e splendidamente progettato. Abbiamo avuto l'opportunità di visitare il parco circostante e è stato fantasticamente mantenuto (che piacere vedere così tanti mandarini). Non ci sono lodi per questo hotel che fa un grande onore al ristorante e all'hotel. È un buon ricordo del nostro viaggio! E sarà con grande piacere rivedervi un giorno in un prossimo viaggio nel vostro bellissimo paese. Grazie mille

We had an enjoyable four nights at the hotel staying in what is the new wing. Lovely view over fields with sheep and goats and hence very quiet which was what we wanted. The bed was large and very comfortable and the room was clean. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. The breakfast buffet was expansive and decent quality. There are a few things that could be done to make the stay more enjoyable though. First, the wood floor in the lobby area of the room was loose and creaked every time we walked on it. It was odd that this hadn't been attended to. Second, the provision of a kettle with tea, coffee and cups would make a big difference. When you arrive back after a day out it really is nice to be able to make a cup of tea and relax. Instead, it was necessary to go to the bar and either wait to be served or find a member of staff to take the order. Yes, the hotel gets the revenue from selling you the drink but relative to the goodwill created by putting a kettle in the room it's minimal. Third, the food in the restaurant for dinner was fine, not spectacular. However, there seemed to be a bizarre approach in that we were given the menu, the order taken (including the drinks order) and bread and olives arrive but no drinks! Half an hour later I had to find the waitress to ask where my wife's G&T was. The response was that ”The staff are busy.” This was repeated the second night albeit with a shorter wait. In any restaurant or hotel I've been in the drinks are normally served first. Strange. The above may seem trivial but they detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay and suggests a hotel that needs to work a bit harder on the basics. Would we come back? Probably not.

Para hotel 5* precisa de melhorar. Não basta ter o Nome e a classificação. Pequenos detalhes, que fazem toda a diferença. Não sei se a altura é ma, mas covid e crise não pode ser desculpa para tudo. E tendo em conta o preço deveria ter melhor serviço! Além de que havia poucos hóspedes, por isso a dedicação poderia ser outra. Quartos bons, apesar de algo danificados, cama de casal com 2 colchões solteiro, que poderiam estar mais seguros e aderentes, além do resguardo de proteção dos colchões, nada confortável, sabemos que há resguardos mais cómodos. Ótimo isolamento de luz, sonoro nem por isso. Ótimo chuveiro! Máquina Nespresso no quarto. PA muito bom, mas para um 5* deveria ser ótimo, por ex os ovos cozidos e os queijos, já ressequidos. Travessas por repor, era preciso avisar sempre os funcionários. Zona de SPA agradável, mas a água estava fria, além de que é necessário fazer reserva, mas mesmo assim estava cheio. Não se percebe então o porquê de se agendar hora. Acesso ao gym e a piscina interior, água também se encontrava fria, pelo exterior do hotel. O que com o frio não é nada agradável. Simpatia dos funcionários em geral. É um bom hotel para relaxar, pela sua envolvência e pela própria zona geográfica, que é tranquila, com bons acessos.

Hotel moderno e bem localizado no centro de Portalegre, sendo fácil o passeio pela cidade apenas a pé. Quarto moderno, com muita luz e muito espaço. O pequeno-almoço é variado, mas gostaria de ver um pouco mais de cuidado com alguns detalhes, por exemplo, os sumos estavam pouco frescos e alguns alimentos um pouco secos, julgo eu devido ao calor… o colchão é quente e as almofadas são muito baixas e muito quentes também.
