Giappone: hotel con palestra nella provincia di Prefettura di Gifu

La camera dell'hotel è abbastanza grande per gli standard giapponesi, e la sensazione dell'hotel è davvero grande! Molti locali si sono fermati lì, ma le camere sono un po' date. Le luci del bagno erano piuttosto scure e le bagni potevano usare un aggiornamento. Tuttavia, tutto ha funzionato perfettamente e il soggiorno è stato ancora estremamente piacevole! L'hotel è situato proprio vicino a un fermo di autobus, quindi le cose sono super convenienti! C'è anche un martello di famiglia dietro l'hotel (shortcut! uscire dalla porta principale, girare a destra, camminare verso il basso, girare immediatamente a destra e a destra nel piccolo percorso, salire le scale oltre il parco dell'hotel, poi girare a sinistra e attraversare le piccole strade, and you’ll find the konbini) The hotel also rents out bicycles to hotel guests FOC, so you can take the bike literally anywhere! We rode to the supermarket (~10 min away) and also down by the river (10/10 recommended!) and just explored lots around! Gifu è una bella città tranquilla e lo consigliamo assolutamente a chiunque voglia sperimentare un lato del Giappone che non è solo Tokyo o Osaka.

To be honest considering this has a 4 star rating I'm a bit disappointed. Generally speaking it is a nice place but there are small things that are lacking compared to other similar Onsen Hotels at the same price. For example they don't provide a basket to go to the onsen but only a cheap plastic bag. The Hotel itself is very old but well maintained and at least the general spaces use nice materials and decoration. Once you reach the room it becomes worse. The materials used in the room are very cheap (Vinyl Floor, Cheap Wallpaper that was put on very poorly). Some aspects of the room have been refurnished, like the sink but most of it seems to be original from the 60s-80s. The bathtub and Toilet are retro models. The Onsen baths are a mixed bag - the one on the third floor with Wood ceiling seems to be the newest and is the best of the three. The other two (panorama and first floor) are in dire need of refurbishing. They seem in very bad condition and extremly old. The worst part (for me) was the Breakfast. 90% of the selection was japanese Style (and even that seemed poor). Western Options were only Pancakes, French Toast (which was good at least) and a few sad pieces of low quality bread with condiments. They didn't even have a coffee machine!!! Only pre-brewed coffee that tasted like water.

Soggiornare in questo hotel è stato davvero una coccola. Abbiamo apprezzato l'attenzione per i dettagli e i piccoli servizi disponibili come il drink di benvenuto, i pigiami o i ghiaccioli disponibili dopo il bagno nelle onsen che è stato un vero piacere utilizzare per rilassarsi dopo una lunga ed estenuante giornata. Ciliegina sulla torta la colazione super ricca e gustosa. Veramente consigliato!!

Il punto forte è che ogni camera ha un onsen (sorgente termale) privato, in cui è davvero molto piacevole immergersi. Anche la cena è stata molto abbondante, con manzo Hida a volontà. Il servizio e la pulizia erano nella media per un ryokan giapponese, ma l'ambiente e il panorama non erano niente di speciale per l'Oku-Hida, non riservando sorprese.

In realtà mi sono sentito un po' imbrogliato con questa prenotazione. Avevamo dei tatuaggi, quindi abbiamo pagato di più per una camera con vasca esterna. Tuttavia, a quanto pare l'acqua non proveniva dall'onsen e c'era persino un cartello che diceva che filtravano e riciclavano la stessa acqua nella vasca. Che schifo. La camera era datata e sporca, con molte macchie sul tatami. D'altra parte, il personale era generalmente disponibile e cortese, il che è stato un vantaggio. C'è un negozio di souvenir al piano terra, il che è comodo. Ci sono anche molti ristoranti nell'hotel, ma sono molto costosi. Ci siamo informati in uno di questi e ci hanno chiesto 190.000 yen a persona per la cena a menu fisso, ed era l'unica opzione che potevamo scegliere.

Great stay overall, one of their baths was under renovation when I visited, which is a bummer. This is one of the places where the facilities age like fine wine. You can feel that it's dated but extremely well maintained, which I appreciate a lot. Breakfast was also amazing, there were a ton of options. The place is great for families and couples wanting to relax for a night or two.
