Indonesia: hotel con palestra nella provincia di Sumatra Settentrionale

L'hotel Aryaduta è stato molto ben situato, vicino alla piazza principale e alla stazione ferroviaria, il personale è molto bello, le camere sono incredibili e il buon colazione.

Clean room but tired. Bathroom might benefit from better cleaning. Nice bed and cold air con. Minibar and snack are not refilled so may wish to take photo when you get in to avoid potential issues. Hotel very popular with families and conference, so expect very crowded lifts (hence delay) and noise in the corridor. Hint of smoke which might have permeated from ducting from other floor(s) at one juncture but not problematic.

We stayed at JW Marriott Medan for several days to allow our elderly grandmother to rest and recover following her leg surgery. While the purpose of our visit wasn’t leisure in the usual sense, the experience highlighted what truly defines a great hotel: not just its facilities, but the service culture behind it. From the outset, our stay involved a number of special arrangements, from shifting booking dates, providing in-room breakfast service as our grandmother couldn’t access the restaurant, and attending to several ad-hoc requests. Across every touchpoint - reservations, front desk, concierge, lobby ambassadors, housekeeping, and the restaurant team , the response was consistently attentive, flexible, and genuinely warm. What impressed us most was not a single interaction, but the consistency across departments. It reflects a deeply embedded service culture and strong leadership, where standards of care are clearly communicated and upheld by the entire team. This is what transforms a hotel from simply offering well-maintained rooms and branded facilities into delivering a personalised guest experience marked by grace, efficiency, and empathy. Simply the best hotel in Medan! My family and I are sincerely grateful to the entire JW Marriott Medan team for turning what could have been a difficult trip into one defined by comfort and care.

So lovely! I stayed in a king junior suite which was great value for money. My room was spotless, it was such a treat to use the free toiletries, wear the robe and slippers, use the coffee machine and variety of coffees, sleep in the huge comfy bed and watch my Netflix. The restaurant has huge windows perfect for watching the sunset and the variety and quality of food was brilliant. I also loved the pool with fresh towels on the sun beds and waterfall feature. The best thing about it though was the lovely staff who couldn’t be more helpful. Only downside is it’s such a busy location, I didn’t venture out much I preferred the peace of the hotel. It’s not far from the airport though and the receptionist booked my taxi for me. I am definitely staying here next time I visit :)

The room is very spacious. Amenities are one of the best with everything well equipped. The staff friendliness is highly commendable always attentive to our requirements. We ordered room dining and breakfast over at the Spoon Restaurant was really good. The hotel location may not have much to do around as most attractions are quite a drive away. But overall it was a lovely stay and would definitely consider to come back.

Great hotel in tuktuk area. Our assigned room has cracked handwashing basin, cracked balcony glass, leftover candies/marshmallow on balcony ground. Bathroom is small for stars hotel and its price. We paid for toba lake view with premium, expecting details but disappointment. We were assigned room on the wing so the view to lake, although visible it was not spectacular or to our expectation. Breakfast is good, staff are friendly, infinity pool is beautiful but water is not heated.

The Hotel itself was lovely and a spacious room. However they post all over the hotel about the massages they offer and how professional they are. The service was horrible! It’s an in-room massage, and a bit expensive for Indonesia prices. They masseuses were texting the whole time, one hand massages while the phone is between your legs with them texting, or one handed back massage. When you looked at them, they tried to hide the phone. I’m very sensitive and I had to ask the lady 6 times to go softer, because every time she finished her texting she would go back to the original pressure which really hurt me. After our body scrub, they left the room a mess and we had to clean up. We asked for more towels to clean and we had to wait 40min, until I went down to reception again to re-ask. We complained to the hotel but all they could say was ‘we will talk to them’. I’m sorry but it doesn’t help how we feel and it ruined our night.

La camera è enorme e super pulita.Venga con bagno e doccia in un cubicello diverso. Absolutamente posh. Il colazione è sopra e oltre. Mi piace davvero il cibo, perché ha tante varietà diverse e il colazione serve anche sul piano superiore dove la vista dell'ambiente di medano è parte del pasto. È solo un'incantevole! Sarei venuto a questo hotel se avessi visitato la medan in un prossimo futuro!

È un posto decente con letti confortevoli e aria condizionata raffreddata. Ma il problema è che il fiamma non è stato correttamente montato e sta tremando come una macchina per il succo di canna. Solo che non c'è problema con la stanza. C'è una bevanda benvenuta, per dire che dovresti andare in un salotto al secondo piano. Quando ci arrivate, vi presentano un menu e vi chiedono di scegliere una bevanda, solo dopo aver ordinato la bevanda fuori dal menu, essi portano effettivamente la bevanda benvenuta, dicendovi che la bevanda che avete ordinato è anche sulla sua strada. Credo sinceramente che sia un gimmick o un inganno. Molto deluso.

Comfortable Stay. Near everything, shopping mall, groceries, restaurant, temple. The staff is polite and kind. If you bring your own car, the staff will help you also so dont worry. Breakfast also good not perfect but good :D
