In generale OK, buona posizione, facile accesso & così tanti caffè vicino. Anche il colazione è così buono come tanti cibi locali che possono provare. Solo una cosa senza ferro all'interno della stanza e chiedendo di inviare ferro alla stanza prendono nota ma non inviano il ferro .

Questa è la mia seconda volta qui. Se siete a Surabaya, soprattutto con bambini, soggiornare qui è la soluzione migliore. Non c'è bisogno di uscire dall'edificio; è tutto a portata di mano perché è collegato direttamente al centro commerciale Pakuwon e al PTC. La colazione è super abbondante e deliziosa.

First time ke golden hill bener2 semua pegawai ruamah polll... Parkirnya memang jauh, tapi sudah di handle semua pegawai hotel. Jadi ketika checkin, mobil di parkirkan sama pegawai hotel. Begitu juga ketika checkout, mobil standby di depan 😍

Stato declinante. Bagno non completamente pulito, alcune pistole sul muro e profumo come sigarette. Il giardino del doccia profumo come pepe. Chiesto di andare via dall'ascensore ma mi hanno messo vicino all'ascensore! Non puoi rimanere di nuovo per il prezzo

Words can't describe the kindness, attention to detail and, politeness of the staff. The breakfast was simply delicious and offered a lot of variety. We had the most amazing stay. Extremely clean. Close enought to the airport :)

Siamo arrivati con un bambino di 2 mesi e 2 anni alle 13.30, ma si è scoperto che fino alle 15.00 avevamo una stanza, hanno detto che c'era ancora una lista d'attesa, ha detto la signora Tirta. La situazione era anche che mio figlio di 2 anni ha vomitato nella sala d'attesa per così tanto tempo che non è entrato nella stanza per riposare e alla fine un altro ufficiale del CS ha immediatamente ripulito le tracce del vomito di mio figlio. Sì, prima di sposarmi, se volevo pernottare venivo qui, ma poi sono rimasto davvero deluso. E comunque, hanno avuto una doccia in piedi invece della vasca da bagno, se la vasca era in attesa, ha detto la signora Tirta. forse 1 ora dopo (credo) duuuh

Room is ok with warm and good water pressure.
They have western and local restaurant on site. The Western one was ok but the local restaurant is always a no and serve poor quality food, the warung can serve better Nasi goreng than in here. Some of the server in the local restaurant are lack of training.

The menu food sounds unappealing, but all 7 lunch and dinners were so good.
You have to try the chicken satay, which is soft and has white clean meat.
The tuna is melted and panini is so fresh.
The spaghetti cakalang is her created recipe of smoked fish and spaghetti. Her tofu and Tempe must not be missed!
Her tempong chicken is yummy and fresh! Feels like it's directly from the farm.
Nasi goreng must not be missed!
Papayas seem to be in the season.
Fried bananas covered in coconut flakes are not to be missed!
In this hotel, don't expect luxury cleanliness because there are a lot of insects (bees, butterflies, moths, grasshopper, flies), spiders, millipedes, lizards, even a gecko. If you want to stay in this rustic resort you have to be okay with them.
I didn't like the insects stuff in the room but the hosts immediately sent their staff to deal with them. Staff are friendly just be patient with them because not all speak English.
May was a super host, who gave ALL sorts of ideas on where to go, and how to go, and gives you contacts and numbers and details. Ibnu makes the best dirty latte in Banyuwangi, most probably. The hosts are very nice and go out of the way to make their guests welcome. They even dropped us at a nearby tour site, and also gave us a short walk to the beach nearby.
This level of service is almost unbeatable. Staff are always ready and welcome to greet and smile at you.
I think the Indonesian and Javanese meals are better than the breakfast menu.
Breakfast pancake and American breakfast normal only.
They generously dropped us off at Bangsring Underwater which was 3-5 mins away, which MUST NOT BE MISSED for snorkelling beginners! (But first check out if the season is good for snorkelling)
If you stay here, be prepared there's not much in the area. And not much air-conditioned cafes or restaurant or shops nearby too.
The family room has a breathtaking view of the mountains but because of the attic like structure, is prone to insects and lizards and stuff. It had a resident gecko.
The deluxe suite room had a flat ceiling so lesser insects! + huge verandah for drying your clothes + pink bougainvillea.
There are corn fields beside the hotel.
They send food to your room if you don't want to eat in the restaurant which also has a amazing view. Restaurant has rustic vibes with antique candelabras
(+ spiders).

NNS30Baobab Safari Resort is located quite far from Surabaya city centre, but it is definitely worth the approximately 1-hour drive from Surabaya Airport.
We booked two connecting rooms, both with balconies. We were assigned to Level 4, and the view was absolutely magnificent, overlooking Mount Arjuno and Mount Welirang. Waking up to the mountain scenery was truly refreshing. Cooling weather, fresh air and beautiful scenery.
Food Experience
The highlight of the meals was the Nasi Rawon. The beef was very tender—soft and melt-in-the-mouth—and the soup was rich and flavourful. The portion size was generous. Other food items were acceptable but nothing particularly outstanding.
For breakfast, however, the buffet spread was rather limited, especially in terms of meat and protein options.
Room & Amenities
The room itself looked decent but slightly dated. That said, the beautiful view more than compensated for it.
One important note: do stock up on your own bottled water before arriving. The hotel uses refillable glass bottles, and unfortunately, the wooden covers of the glass containers appeared very mouldy, which was quite off-putting.
Activities & Environment
There are plenty of activities available. A walk through the Enchanted Forest thats full of pine trees and feeding area for Capybara, Lama, Sheep is possible, though you’ll need to take a buggy from another area. The Safari Zoo is located separately but can be arranged by the hotel.
Animals around the hotel can be fed according to scheduled timings. Waterbucks, however, can be fed with carrots 🥕, which were provided by the hotel on the day of check-in.
The lobby and dining areas were a standout—beautifully designed and facing the roaming animals while still maintaining a safe boundary within their designated area.
Animal Welfare
I have always been quite sceptical about zoo animals in Indonesia due to past negative experiences, where animal welfare did not seem well cared for. However, Baobab Safari Resort truly changed my perspective.
The environment is clean, the animals appear well fed, and I frequently saw zookeepers actively present in the animal areas, feeding hay and grass to the zebras, waterbucks, buffaloes, and giraffes. It was reassuring and heartening to see such care and commitment.
This experience made me believe that proper education and responsible management really do help build a better environment for zoo animals.
Overall, it was a meaningful and memorable stay for my family.

Opposite was KFC and some local eatery so quite convenience for anytime need. We most of time using Grab hauling service when go out and come back. Satisfy to the stay. Thank you.

CCiauciauHotel’s ambience is relaxing. Ocean is at the hotel’s backyard with huge greeneries, coconut trees, and simply beautiful.
Breakfast spread is not bad, the taste is so so. Swimming pool is infinity style and quite big. There is also gym in the hotel.
Room is small, bed is only 100 x 200 for twin. Separate toilet and shower room which size is in the smallish end. Balcony is quite big so you could sit down and enjoy reading. If you want to go with family, book enough room as there is no extra bed except in suites (sofa bed style).
As it is near the ocean, it could be windy.
You need car/transport to go around as it is not exactly in the city centre.
Good place to relax if you happen to be in East Java.

UUtente anonimoAbbiamo fatto il check-in un po' tardi, ma il personale è stato molto disponibile. La nostra camera era al 26° piano ed era davvero spaziosa per due persone. C'è un ferro da stiro a vapore in camera, una vera chicca per noi che non possiamo vivere senza ferro da stiro nemmeno durante un breve soggiorno. Sarebbe meglio se ci fornissero l'asse da stiro. Shampoo, balsamo e bagnoschiuma erano inclusi e vorrei che ci fossero più ganci in bagno. Peccato che abbiamo girato solo un video della camera, ma non siamo riusciti nemmeno a caricarlo qui.
Siamo andati a fare un breve allenamento in palestra la mattina prima di colazione. Hanno tapis roulant, cyclette ellittica, manubri e una panca per fare un po' di stretching, lol. Hanno una buona selezione per la colazione. Siamo rimasti così a lungo che abbiamo potuto provare tutto dal menu della colazione.
La parte migliore dell'hotel è che è collegato al centro commerciale Pakuwon City. Fare shopping è facile 🤭
