Hotel a 4 stelle in Lancashire, Regno Unito

The Grand Hotel is north of North Pier and is a huge hotel with many rooms facing the sea, and a spa, pool and gym. We stayed there for 4 nights and walked everywhere (including to South Pier and the Pleasure Beach), so the location was good for us. The hotel itself is nice and the rooms were spacious with an amazing view towards the Tower and North Pier. The pool, sauna, steam room were great, and cost only £2 per person. All staff we encountered were friendly. We would stay here again.

Grande colazione e cena al ristorante Palm Court. Personale molto piacevole. Divertimento serale ogni notte. Grande posizione con stazione di tram proprio fuori. Molto buon valore per soldi per la vista marina superiore. Le camere standard più economiche hanno bisogno di attenzione per quanto riguarda le strutture e la pulizia, ma ancora buono per il prezzo.

The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. Food was very nice and facilities are bigger than any other 4 star hotel I've been through. Staff are friendly and helpful too.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel per una notte, era molto più bello di altri hotel della zona, ma al nostro arrivo c'era molta gente in piedi fuori dall'ingresso principale a fumare e sputare sul pavimento. Il check-in è stato abbastanza semplice e abbiamo trovato la nostra camera, che era spaziosa a sufficienza, anche se il letto era duro. Volevo mangiare qualcosa, ma l'hotel era troppo caro: 6 sterline per una zuppa! Alla fine siamo usciti per mangiare, siamo tornati a letto e siamo stati svegliati da gruppi di persone chiassose che tornavano presto da una serata fuori tra le 02:20 e le 03:30. Siamo scesi per la colazione la mattina, che era buona, con salsiccia, uova e pancetta, ma tutto ben fornito e caldo. L'unica pecca è che alcune persone non hanno il controllo sui propri figli: i bambini piccoli che correvano in giro hanno fatto cadere un vassoio dalle mani di un'altra donna e hanno rotto tutto per terra.

We had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff. When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard. Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub. Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well.

We had a fantastic experience. The place was spotlessly clean, from the rooms to the shared areas, which made our stay super comfortable. The decor was warm and cozy, creating a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. What really stood out was the variety of activities available. The staff were friendly and helpful, always happy to recommend things to do in the area.

Il weekend è stato assolutamente fantastico, in un ambiente bellissimo, tranquillo e noi amavamo la fauna selvatica. Il personale era amichevole e molto informativo e disponibile per tutto ciò che avevamo bisogno. Il cibo era bellissimo e tutto il prezzo molto ragionevole. Certamente prenoteremo un altro soggiorno.

Se sei disabili, puoi lasciare la mia principale entrata, ma non puoi parcheggiare. Non c'è ascensore all'hotel, quindi se è disabile, dovrai chiedere una stanza di pavimento. Non sapevo che non c'era ascensore, quindi hanno dovuto cambiare rapidamente la mia stanza di sopra al pavimento. Lo hanno fatto senza sforzo, nonostante fossero completamente prenotati. La stanza si è scioccata inconfortabile, così ho tenuto la finestra aperta e ho usato un freschiero d'aria. Non c'era nessuna remota per la TV, e quando hanno trovato una remota, la TV non funzionava, hanno portato in un secondo televisore e il manager era un uomo stupendo che mi ha fatto ridere quando ha cercato di risolvere i problemi. La cena era buona.Sono rimasto due giorni.Tornerei.

Hotel meraviglioso.La nostra camera era una suite ben progettata e confortevole. Spund provava bene, come avevamo una notte molto tranquilla. Le strutture dell'hotel sono state grandi. Tutti i dipendenti erano fantastici e ci hanno fatto sentire molto attenti.Torneremo.
