La sua posizione è eccezionale per chi fa riferimebto alla stazione treni (alta velocity). È un bell’hotel pulito, la colazione soddisfa un po’ tutti cinesi e occidentali. Il servizio invece è più che eccezionale. Il personale, tutti giovanissimi, è di una gentilezza unica e disponibilità fuori del comune. Si fanno davvero in 4 per risolvere qualsiasi problema venisse fuori anche al di là del loro stretto ambito. Noi (viaggiavamo in coppia) abbiamo avuto duplice esperienza diretta. Sono anni che viaggio per lavoro e poco per diletto ma posso senza ombra di dubbi affermare che le persone più disponibili da me incontrate. Ve lo consiglio!

Even I received a free upgrade for a night the stay was not so comfortable.
First I did not find a pick up at the Airport to the hotel. It was not possible to reach the hotel by Phone.
Second my room was far away from the elevator and the floor a deep carpet.
Third the dinner at the afternoon was 40 RMB more expensive than on the poster advertised. Most of the buffet was a typical hotpot.
The free Shuttle back to the Airport was ok, the rooms are exklusive and great, free Softdrinks, free tea and coffee… breakfast might be better.

Soggiorno fantastico! Il servizio di trasferimento gratuito da e per l'aeroporto è stato impeccabile. Il personale è stato davvero gentile e disponibile dal check-in al check-out. Sono stato accolto calorosamente, il check-in è stato veloce grazie alla documentazione preparata in anticipo e ho persino ricevuto un messaggio WeChat per confermare se avessi bisogno di altro.
L'hotel è nuovo, moderno e pulito, con un profumo delizioso nei corridoi che mi ha ricordato il Crown ****** di Melbourne. Le camere sono high-tech con sedili del WC riscaldati e tocchi di classe come bevande gratuite nella hall e acqua in bottiglia in palestra e in camera. Mi hanno persino aiutato a stirare le camicie!

FFrom a SingaporeanThe positive attitude and service performance of the staff ranging from front desk, concierge/security to breakfast restaurant and house keeping is excellent. The classic hotel personal service with a modern twist makes the stay a memorable experience. On my check-in, Ms Xiao Jiao and Ms Xiao Cong gave me and explained briefly the leaflet on the hotel’s suggested tourist attractions in Yantai. They also enthusiastically exchanged small RMB notes with me. They also gave me a piece of mooncake of my choice (and during my check-out too). The restaurant staff is attentive, replenishing food and drinks and attending to requests promptly. Due to my lack of command of Mandarin and accent, the chef cooked the wanton instead of the mackerel dumplings for me, he immediately served me the dumplings when he realised the miscommunication. The next morning, after serving me the mackerel dumplings, he, I think, recognised me, suggested I could add soup and condiments to the dumplings. I find their fleshly cooked dumplings are even better than the dumplings from the most famous dumplings restaurant in Yantai. The concierge staff on 2 days helped me book taxi using her phone app, paying in advance on my behalf as booking via internet cannot be settled in cash. The concierge/front desk lent me umbrella without question.
After a delayed and tiring flight, Mr Xiao Gao brought me to my room and explained the mechanics of the switches in the room. There was a hand-written welcome note from Ms Liu, with 2 cups of white fungus/goji drink beside it. The drink together with the note and fruits in the room, not only soothed my dry throat but also lifted the mood. House keeping provided fruits, white fungus/goji drink and dried chrysanthemum/rose flowers (to prepare for drinking) and 4 bottles (500 ml) of water daily, with up to 14 bottles at the lift lobby on my floor, and guests can also request house keeping for more bottles. On my check out day, during my breakfast, they left at the door handle, a bag of goodies, fruits and bottles of water and souvenirs (4 key chains with various types of sea shells), together with a hand-written farewell/bon voyage note from Ms Liu. Well done The Center Hotel staff, you are a pride to the hotel, the hospitality industry and Yantai!

According to Trip.com’s grading system, The Madison Hotel is listed as a Trip Plus 4-star hotel, but based on our recent stay, we believe it falls short of that rating. While we had a mostly pleasant experience, there were noticeable issues that prevent us from agreeing with the 4-star classification.
The Positives
- Check-in & Staff: The reception team was friendly, and one staff member could communicate a little in English, which was helpful.
- Room Comfort: Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked well and allowed individual adjustment.
- Amenities: We appreciated the complimentary bottled waters and two soft drinks restocked daily in the fridge.
- Location: The hotel is conveniently located inside Wanda Mall, making shopping and dining easily accessible.
The Negatives (Why It’s Not 4-Star)
- Cleanliness Issues: The room wasn’t cleaned to a 4-star (or even 3-star) standard. We found nail clippings on the bedside mat, indicating poor vacuuming.
- Shower Water Pressure: The water pressure in the shower was quite low, which was inconvenient.
- Breakfast Limitations: While the Asian food options were good, there were very few Western choices. Additionally, the Western cutlery felt sticky and wasn’t properly cleaned.
- Staff Sleeping at Reception: On our second morning, when we tried to check out early, the reception staff were asleep on the couches. We understand they may have been exhausted, but this is unprofessional for a 4-star hotel.
Final Verdict
The Madison Hotel is a decent option, but we’d rate it as a solid 3-star hotel, not 4-star. If you prioritize location and comfort over luxury service and cleanliness, it’s a reasonable choice. However, management should address housekeeping and staff training to meet higher standards.
Would we stay again? Possibly, but with adjusted expectations.

TTran Ai VietQuesta è una gemma assoluta tra tutti gli hotel che ho soggiornato per oltre 15 anni di viaggio in 40 paesi.
La progettazione delle camere, dei corridoi e delle aree comuni è stupenda e veramente unica. La camera dispone di una macchina arcade con Nintendo giochi da quando ero bambino... Si sente come lo stile di firma personale del proprietario dell'hotel - ed è l'enfasi più sorprendente di questo posto!
Un tè speciale per il pomeriggio con i cookie fantastici è un servizio meraviglioso.
La colazione è di solito un buffet, per quanto ne capisco, ma il giorno del mio soggiorno non c'era nessun buffet, e il colazione è stato servito individualmente per ogni ospite. Tuttavia, era molto buono e riempiente.
La posizione è eccellente - proprio vicino alla stazione di autobus, il che significa che è possibile controllare immediatamente dopo l'arrivo dall'aeroporto con l'autobus dell'aeroporto, o lasciare il bagaglio se arrivate presto. Ovunque nella città è facile, veloce e economico per autobus locali.

Quando ho prenotato, ho chiesto una stanza tranquilla su un piano alto e lontano dall'ascensore - e i miei desideri erano stati soddisfatti perfettamente.
E per tutto questo, il prezzo è semplicemente incredibile. Questo hotel vale la pena di viaggiare a Yantai solo per rimanere qui!
In generale, è una pietra di capolavoro.Gli unici posti che ho visto meglio sono gli hotel classici a cinque stelle, ma anche non hanno un design interno così eccellente e macchine arcade. 😊 E se siete nati negli anni ottanta, dovrete assolutamente rimanere in questo hotel per giocare i giochi della vostra infanzia su una macchina arcade reale proprio nella vostra stanza. 😊

CCallum McNeill-KeayI recently completed a weekend stay at the Lanou International Hotel and would like to provide detailed and constructive feedback, particularly as I have stayed at this property several times in the past. While the hotel continues to benefit from an excellent location and a generally comfortable environment, several aspects of this visit fell considerably below the standard I previously experienced.
To begin with, the condition of the bathroom facilities has noticeably deteriorated. Fixtures that were once in good working order now appear significantly worn, with visible signs of ageing and inadequate maintenance. The shower fittings, tiling, and general bathroom infrastructure all seem overdue for refurbishment. This decline was unexpected, given the hotel’s formerly reliable standards.
Secondly, the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff—especially during the breakfast service—have diminished. Staff members frequently appeared disengaged, and the overall service felt disorganised. Routine tasks such as clearing tables promptly, maintaining a tidy service area, and interacting with guests courteously were not consistently met. This impacted the overall dining experience.
Additionally, the hotel appears increasingly ill-prepared to accommodate international guests. The breakfast selection is limited in terms of food variety typically expected by international travelers, and basic utensils such as knives and forks were often unavailable or had to be specifically requested. This lack of consideration for diverse guest needs detracts from the hotel’s appeal to a broader clientele.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively. The hotel has strong underlying strengths and has provided much better experiences in the past. With improved maintenance of facilities, enhanced staff training, and more thoughtful catering to international guests, the Lanou International Hotel could readily return to the higher standards it once offered.

YYuge CaiIt was a wonderful stay. The location was excellent, just a few steps away from the Olympic Sailing Center. On the day of check-in, which happened to be my wife's birthday, the hotel prepared a thoughtful card, fruits and gifts, which was really heartwarming! The breakfast had a wide variety of options. Overall, it was great and the kids didn't want to leave at all!

Situazione – La posizione è molto conveniente. È a circa un passo a Wanxiangcheng 10-minute e circa 5 minuti a maggio 4 piazza. È stato anche facile catturare un taxi proprio davanti all'hotel.
La stanza era spaziosa e di stile appartamento, che lo rende una grande opzione per soggiorni di più di una notte. Era pulito e i pantaloncini sono stati sostituiti quotidianamente. Il frigorifero era grande e disponendo di una camera separata lo rende particolarmente adatto per le famiglie.
L’unica piccola parte del bagno era che la testa del bagno era molto piccola e un po’ scomoda da usare. Ho portato una testa del bagno portatile che mi ha funzionato bene. E il secco dei capelli non era così buono.
In generale, era un luogo molto soddisfacente per restare. Ho avuto una grande esperienza.
