Grande soggiorno per un conveniente e comodo aeroporto Stopover Il mio hotel è stato molto confortevole, il servizio di navetta è stato puntuale e facile da trovare ~ rendendo il mio trasferimento aeroportuale senza stress. La mia camera era molto confortevole, e io ero fortunato a avere una bella vista sulla montagna da tavola, che era un bel bonus! Il ristorante superava le aspettative - sia il pranzo che il colazione erano deliziosi, e il servizio era eccellente. Il personale e i conducenti della nave sono stati tutti amichevoli e accoglienti, il che rende il mio breve soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Considerato il traghetto gratuito, il colazione complimentare e il senso generale di sicurezza (specialmente importante come un solo viaggiatore), il prezzo è certamente valsa la pena. Sarei felice di rimanere qui di nuovo prima di un volo e lo consiglierei ad altri viaggiatori che cercano comfort e comodità.

A Beautiful and Peaceful Stay at Alkantmooi Private Nature Reserve, Keursee We recently stayed at Alkantmooi Private Nature Reserve, Keursee in Plettenberg Bay and had a lovely experience overall. When I booked, I didn’t realize that it was a fully self-catering property. On the booking site, it looked more like a nature resort with restaurants on-site, so it came as a surprise when we arrived and learned that we needed to bring or buy our own food. We ended up driving about 8 km into town to pick up some groceries, which turned into a fun little outing in the end. Still, it might be helpful for management to make this setup clearer on the booking sire for guests, especially those from abroad who might not be familiar with South African Travel habits. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. and were warmly welcomed by the owner, who gave us the keys and explained everything. The unit itself was amazing, very clean, modern, and well maintained, with a stunning view over the sea and Plettenberg Bay in the distance. At night, the lights from town were beautiful, and the whole area was peaceful and quiet. The environment felt safe, and we really enjoyed the fresh air and the sense of being surrounded by nature. One small note: when we arrived, the lady at reception asked my partner (who is Chinese) in Afrikaans if she spoke English or Afrikaans. It wasn’t a big issue, but it might be something to be mindful of when welcoming international guests, as not everyone understands Afrikaans and its not easy to decipher specially for those who do not speak English as a first language A few other suggestions for management: upon entering the unit, there’s a printed rule sheet. While I completely understand and respect the need for house rules, the way they’re written felt a little strict and unwelcoming. For example, it mentioned sanitizing hands every time you enter and reporting neighbors if they break rules, and more. The tone could perhaps be softened to feel friendlier and more guest-oriented. The only other drawback was the Wi-Fi, which was extremely slow during our stay. I wasn’t able to use it for basic browsing and had to rely on my phone’s international data via hotspot when I was using my laptop. Despite these small issues, I would still recommend Alkantmooi to others, especially those who enjoy self-catering and want a quiet, upmarket place surrounded by nature. It’s a wonderful place to unwind, cook your own meals, and enjoy the incredible views over Plettenberg Bay.

Camere spaziose e spaziose, a seconda di cosa si prenota. Personale cordiale, sicurezza 24 ore su 24, 7 giorni su 7... pulizie giornaliere... l'unico problema è che i letti non sono abbastanza grandi/lunghi, ma sono alto 197 cm. Altri più bassi non avranno problemi. Anche il design dei lavandini deve essere cambiato o la valutazione del rischio/infortunio deve essere verificata... se non si sta attenti, ci si può tagliare o ferire le dita dei piedi. Ci sono delle ringhiere metalliche che sostengono il lavandino. Ho dovuto usare asciugamani bagnati per coprirli dopo essermi tagliato dolorosamente un'unghia del piede. La lavanderia può essere buona, ma alcune non funzionano. Portate il vostro detersivo per riempire la dose automatica che la lavatrice mette, che non è sufficiente. L'asciugatrice è ottima e veloce. La palestra ha bisogno di essere rinnovata, ma fa il suo lavoro. La jacuzzi esterna è appena tiepida... per niente calda. Ma la vista è incantevole... a parte questo, un posto assolutamente fantastico... Ci tornerò sicuramente.

DoubleTree Cape Town - Upper Eastside è stata una splendida esperienza! L'hotel era senza spot e il personale era veramente caldo e attento. Da check-in all' check-out, tutto era semplice e professionale. La posizione è stata conveniente per riunioni commerciali, ed è solo un breve viaggio verso le principali attrazioni. La stanza era moderna, comoda e ben attrezzata per un soggiorno produttivo. Le strutture, tra cui lo sportello e il ristorante, erano eccellenti. Ho apprezzato davvero il delizioso colazione e, naturalmente, la firma calda cookie all'arrivo! Molto consigliato per i viaggiatori di business e chiunque cerca servizio di qualità e un soggiorno confortevole a Capo Town.

Disappointing — Not the Taj Experience I Expected I stayed one night at Taj Cape Town and, having stayed, worked, and studied at other Taj properties worldwide, I left feeling that this hotel does not deliver the signature “Taj” experience. Location: Excellent — centrally located and convenient for business and sightseeing. Rooms: Very good. The guest room was well-appointed, comfortable, and met the standard I expect from a five-star property. No complaints on accommodations. Food & Beverage: Below expectations for a Taj. The breakfast buffet was serviceable but average — acceptable for a quick meal, but nothing memorable in terms of variety, presentation, or quality. The on-site Asian restaurant is extremely small (about five tables) and suffers from poor ventilation: the exhaust does not appear to function adequately, so the space quickly fills with an oily cooking smell that lingers and detracts from the dining experience. The food itself was below the quality I would expect from a Taj-branded restaurant. Service & Brand Feel: This is where the hotel most noticeably misses the mark. While staff were professional, the overall atmosphere lacked the warm, polished service and attention to detail that distinguishes other Taj properties I have experienced. It felt more like a standard city hotel operating under the Taj name rather than a hotel delivering the full Taj brand promise. Value: Concerning. The hotel charges approximately INR 2,000 per day for parking — a steep add-on that should be clearly communicated up front and factored into the overall value proposition. Summary: The location and rooms are strong points, but the average breakfast, a small and poorly ventilated Asian restaurant, and an overall absence of the characteristic Taj hospitality leave this property short of expectations. If you are seeking the classic Taj experience, this particular hotel may not meet that standard.

Soggiorno meraviglioso al Pepperclub - consigliato. Abbiamo scelto di festeggiare un importante traguardo in Sudafrica per creare ricordi davvero speciali. Abbiamo viaggiato da Johannesburg, passando per Nambiti, Durban e poi Città del Capo, e abbiamo prenotato al Pepperclub per concludere il nostro viaggio in bellezza. La posizione è ottima, vicino a Bo-Kaap, ai mercati locali e sicura per passeggiare. Non abbiamo avuto problemi a raggiungere qualsiasi destinazione. L'hotel è molto pulito, comprese le aree comuni, la palestra e ovviamente le camere. Tuttavia, il servizio di pulizia era più da 4 stelle: semplici richieste come coperte extra dovevano essere sollecitate, e il servizio di couverture veniva effettuato ogni giorno ma in modo discontinuo (a volte il bagno veniva pulito e rifornito, a volte no). Allo stesso modo, il servizio era discontinuo, nonostante la reception/concierge fosse sempre ben presidiata: Godfrey ci accoglieva sempre con entusiasmo e c'era un altro responsabile di turno molto diligente e attento. Tuttavia, quando Godfrey non era in servizio, l'accoglienza era più tiepida e il personale alla reception non era sempre particolarmente cordiale e non sempre efficiente. Il personale del ristorante è sempre stato molto cordiale e disponibile. La colazione era ottima, con una buona selezione di opzioni a buffet e à la carte, servite rapidamente. Non abbiamo avuto l'opportunità di provare il cinema privato Odeon, ma proiettavano solo film vecchi, non le uscite più recenti che si trovano nei cinema Odeon pubblici. Dalle camere si gode di una splendida vista sulla Table Mountain e sul Lions Head. L'hotel è stato in grado di soddisfare le nostre richieste speciali di check-in anticipato, camere comunicanti e ha allestito la camera e offerto torta e spumante per festeggiare il nostro anniversario: tocchi deliziosi. Non vi pentirete del vostro soggiorno, ma potreste non sentire il bisogno di tornarci.

Pros Great location - a short drive to the waterfront and close to Table Mountain, Lions Head and the Botanical Garden where Uber will get you there quickly and for a good price. Staff were very good Breakfast was cooked very well and with good quality ingredients and a varied selection. It would be better if they had soft bread rather than the heavier one provided (althouh this could be a more European variety i havent come across before). The room was homely, as is the whole building (a bit of a British Grade 2 listed building kind of feel). Nice views over capetown in some rooms and a mountain view from the back. Room has heating and air con for all seasons. Cons As mentioned in a previous review, the room is quite dusty so if you are messing around with plugs behind the bed or tv, it's a challenge not to breathe in the dust. I think this could be a SA thing rather than the hotel itself but they only provide 1.5l of water which for a week is not enough, even for a solo traveller. You have to pay for any more. I have never come across this in 25 years of travel across 35 countries but again, i know there is a water issue in SA sometimes and I believe the tap water is drinkable (although I wouldn't attempt this as a tourist). Bathroom towels not replaced - just left to dry which doesn't work particularly well in winter. The photo of the hotel being near blue water is a little deceptive - obviously it is not near a beach and they don't suggest so but the body of water across the road is a water storage facility (currently empty) so don't expect tropical views. Having said that, if you get a city view room, the sunrise is right in front of you and a perfect time lapse opportunity as the scenery changes dramatically during the sunrise. Stunning experience. Overall, I would stay again and recommend the hotel which is in a quiet location.

This bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down. We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used. On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place. The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time) There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away. Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe. Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have. 3/10 would probably not go there again.

Abbiamo occupato una stanza di gestione e abbiamo anche avuto accesso al club di gestione sul 19° piano. La stanza era molto bella, con buona letto di legno, letto di alta qualità. Ciò detto, abbiamo dovuto presentare una denuncia sulla natura di fretta di come la nostra camera è stata pulita il secondo giorno del nostro soggiorno. Il letto non è stato fatto correttamente, il pavimento del tetto non era pulito, e il bagno era mezzo pulito. Non è buono per un hotel 5-star. Dopo aver denunciato, il custode ha modificato la norma e il livello di pulizia è stato elevato al livello più alto per la durata del nostro soggiorno. Abbiamo ordinato anche cibo dal servizio in camera e la metà di quello che abbiamo ordinato non è stato portato - ci hanno dato qualcosa di diverso, ma dopo 45 minuti di attesa che l'ordine originale fosse portato a noi, abbiamo accettato con riluttanza l'ordine sbagliato, Mangiate il cibo e poi presentate le nostre denunce più tardi. Il buffet del colazione era buono, ma non c'erano grandi selezioni di carne fredda nella sezione della carne fredda. È davvero necessario migliorare su questo. Infine, la prestazione di servizi complessivi da parte di alcuni dipendenti richiede un miglioramento significativo. Alcuni del personale del ristorante sono troppo alti quando si parlano, e alcuni di loro hanno anche malvenuto e atteggiamento non scaldato/viva ai loro clienti. E'come se si sentessero che ci stanno facendo un favore, i loro clienti, servindoci. Non abbastanza per un hotel di questo standard, e alcuni di questi dipendenti devono essere riqualificati. In generale, ci siamo divertiti nel Westin e ci ritorneremo certamente quando ci accingiamo a visitare la città del Capo.
