First time to stay at hotel, nice room with a great view and balcony overlooking the lake on the golf course. Managed a nice walk on Saturday with the weather being so good, which was advised by the very helpful Guest Relations Manager Garreth, which took us past Hensol Castle and around the lake and playing fields, working up a nice thirst! All staff that we encountered were very helpful and courteous, which we find in some hotels can be lacking. Food was very good also, with us both having an evening 3 course meal and a breakfast the following day. As mentioned, Garreth was very helpful, checking when we walked past if everything was ok and did we need any additional assistance with anything. Thanks all for a great stay and we must recommend the Hensol Gin & Spiced Rum, a bottle/s did make it's way home with us!

Excellent friendly obliging staff, though the next time we book to stay here we'll be sure to ask to be at the back of the hotel, away from the main road and car park. The room needed airing but it didn't feel right to leave our bedroom window open as we spent the day on Barry Island, before catching an early flight. Didn't eat there due to dietary requirements and they were good enough to put a small something in their fridge to cater for my wife's needs. Convenient bus stops outside the hotel, cabs available as well, though we walked to the airport as it was a nice day and we were early, with little traffic on the Sunday.

Great room decent size friendly staff. Only down side to it the bed was hard and the pillows were thin. Hot water was hit and miss in the shower one day you will have some the next you don't. The heating didn't work in the room but got a heater from reception. Overall a pleasant stay and would stay there again.
