From entering the hotel, we were greeted by 2 lovely receptionists. They were professional and very friendly. The check in was very quick and easy and on our way to our room in no time. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. The Bathroom was adequately stocked with fluffy clean towels and toiletries and hair dryer available.
The hotel is within walking distance to the shopping mall and the $10 fee for parking, saved us from having to pay for parking in the city. Very convenient. A very nice stay. Thank you.

Room provides everything you need. Big space, comfy bed, towels, shower kit, fridge and microwave. Owner is very helpful with late check-in. Peaceful neighbourhood and located not far from shopping/food areas.

This hotel is located in the centre of Hobart, only a few minutes away from the pier and the Travel and Information Centre. Its architecture is exquisite, the staff is welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Its rooms are well-decorated and comfortable. I spent one week there and I would gladly go back.
Additionally, stop 1 of the Airport SkyBus is right next to the hotel.

La stanza non è grande, la posizione è buona. La porta è la porta del mare. Ci sono parchi e spiagge intorno a piedi. L'igiene è buona. Il servizio è buono. La stanza è leggermente semplice e la parola accanto può sentire la qualità del sonno in un hotel a auto, e la porta della stanza può parcheggiare

My favorite hotel in Hobart: quick check-in, free luggage storage, a pool with a stunning view. It's a 10-minute walk to the city center. There's also a nice food court, which gets busy in the evenings, but I didn't get to try it. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Free welcoming house beer for both of us upon check-in. Free slices of bread, jam, butter, apple juices and packets of cereals for two in the room for our breakfast. Dinner at the restaurant, the happening place in town, apparently. Among the many hotels I stayed in Australia, this hotel has exceeded the normal expectations. Room is a bit dated, but ok for location.

Il personale è amichevole, disposto ad aiutare, ha bisogno di soggiornare,  parcheggio AUD20 per notte, situato al retro della cattedrale opposta, l'auto è al otto piano limitata per prenotare un appuntamento in anticipo, e il tempo indefinito è libero di entrare e uscire.Il bagno è un po'sufficiente, ma il grado di pulizia globale è buono, il prezzo è ragionevole 👍

酒店環境特別好，靠近湖邊，免費停車，車子可以停在房間門口，房間裏面裝潢一般，有點簡陋，但是早餐很不錯，需要自己在菜單中點一份，我們點了價格最貴的一套，超值！但是廚房要現做，要等很久，時間緊的，可以先派人提前去點餐，再回去收拾行李退房。

KKanchana KhamtaIf you have an early morning flight departing from Hobart Airport and do not have a car (for example, if you have already returned your rental car), I do not recommend staying at this hotel. Even though it is close to the airport, you may face serious transportation issues like the one I experienced.
The hotel is located about 1.8 km from Hobart Airport. By car or taxi, it takes around 5 minutes. However, if you walk, Google Maps shows it takes approximately 25–30 minutes.
On 13 December 2025 at around 5:00 PM, I asked the front desk staff to help me pre-book a taxi with 13CABS for the next morning, using my Australian local number from my eSIM. After the booking was completed, I received an SMS confirming my 13CABS request, including the pickup date and time, as well as a tracking link.
On the morning of 14 December, I checked out very early at 5:45 AM. At that time, the front desk was closed, so I returned the key card at the counter. I then opened the tracking link from the SMS to check the taxi’s location. I could see a car on the map, but it appeared to be quite far away. I decided to wait.
As the pickup time approached, I went outside to wait at the drop-off area, but no taxi arrived. I checked the tracking link again and found that the car was no longer coming.
At 5:54 AM, I received another SMS from 13CABS saying:
“Hi this is 13 CABS. We are sorry for the delay, we hope to have a vehicle to 1 Holyman, CAMBRIDGE shortly. Do you still require a taxi? Please reply Y/N.”
I replied “Y” immediately. After waiting another five minutes with no further updates, I started to feel very anxious.
At that point, I met a couple from Hong Kong who were experiencing the same issue—the taxi they had pre-booked also did not arrive.
I then called the after-hours reception number provided by the hotel. The staff member was very helpful and advised me to contact 13CABS directly to make a new booking.
When I called 13CABS, the operator made a new booking for me and sent another SMS confirmation. However, after waiting for quite a while, there was still no taxi. I asked the Hong Kong couple, and they told me their taxi was supposedly on the way.
About five minutes later, a taxi finally stopped at the drop-off area. The couple checked with the driver—it was not their booked taxi. I then asked the driver, and it was not booked under my name either. However, the driver explained that he was waiting in the airport queue and had received a call from head office instructing him to pick up passengers from Mantra Hobart Airport and take them to Hobart Airport.
In the end, both the Hong Kong couple and I shared that taxi. The driver charged me AUD 21 and charged the couple AUD 21 as well.
In conclusion, staying here is risky if you have an early morning flight, even though the hotel is close to the airport. You may encounter serious issues arranging transportation in the early hours and risk missing your flight.
That morning, while I was waiting at the drop-off area, I also saw a man walking from the hotel toward the airport, pulling his suitcase. Unfortunately, it was raining at the time, and the weather was cold, making the situation even worse.

WWarwagon86Il servizio è stato fantastico, e il servizio è stato fantastico. Mia figlia le ha fatto male il piede nella piscina e le hanno mandato un po'di nota e un bar di cioccolato che le ha fatto il giorno, sopra e oltre. La nostra unica denuncia era che il buffet di colazione era piuttosto medio e che Hobart era una città così vivace e ricco di cibo bellissimo che hanno bisogno di sfruttare. Tutto era bene e una selezione decente, ma la sezione calda era piuttosto povera e le salsicce erano come un cartone. I bambini amavano i cereali e i frutti offerti, quindi era un bonus.

MmintylauStayed 5 nights in the hotel. It’s a standard hotel room size. We booked Mountain View room, can see some part of the water. It’s not too near about city center, will take some time to walk to Salamanca Market. If you have a car instead, it’d be great as there is free car park. It’s a nice hotel with great service. And ****** is next to it, can play during your stay.

UUtente ospiteLa camera era confortevole e ben attrezzata con una bella vista, e l'hotel ha un sottile calore per la sua decorazione. Il controllo del personale e del concierge erano amichevole e utile. Il principale ristorante italiano è piuttosto buono e il colazione è stato ben fatto. Il bar sta cercando di essere troppo difficile da essere trendy e il servizio parla più agli arrivati che agli ospiti che cercano di godere di una bevanda o una cena solo, e'francamente piuttosto deludente. In generale, sembra la migliore opzione a Hobart e abbastanza forte per una piccola città, anche se non sono sicuro di quale lista potrebbero affermare di essere il top 50... Aman o Rosewood o una penisola non è.

UUtente ospiteA very small bathroom. 5×4 feet and a very small cubicle shower (2×2 feet). The room itself is big enough, bad design...they should have taken more space for the bathroom. Badly stained carpet. Mattress with a hump in the middle. Excellent lighting in the bathroom and room entrance bud very bad in the room. 2 fire alarms before 5:00 h in the morning and one with evacuation...for reason or not, we never got feedback. Breakfast buffet with no fresh fruit but canned fruit salad instead...unacceptable for 21$ paid. Room are a bit overpriced for what you get.

We enjoyed the little treats at coffee time too.
Only downside was the valet parking felt quite expensive and quite slow to retrieve your car when you need it. I can’t understand why it can’t be a self park facility but hey ho.
