I travel for work and spend two to three nights a week in a hotel,,,,this hotel works well for business travel...easy on off the beltline,,,no problems
The hotel has a swimming pool, but I didn't use it, which is why I cannot comment on it in more detail. However, I have seen some people using it. There was breakfast served every morning, but the selection was basic. I wish they had regular corn flakes for cereals in addition to the three other types. However, bagels, muffins, sausages and fried egg discs plus different juices are enough to give you strength for the start of the day.
Here are the positives and negatives of this hotel:
++ Conveniently located near the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, CVTC and Marshfield Clinic. There are many restaurants and fast-food places around, and there is a bus stop close by, as well as a Kwik Trip gas station.
+ The room was cozy and clean.
+ The room had a futon and a good desk.
- Wifi did not always work reliably; sometimes, I had to enter the credentials repeatedly after some time went by.
-- Poor sound insulation: When someone walked above my room, it felt like that person was tramping. Fortunately, the guest above me moved out, but if you want silence, insist on a room on the second floor.
Overall, I had a good time at the hotel, and the staff was friendly. I feel like it provides good value for money.

Was disappointed that the spa services were not available, and that it was somewhat loud at off-hours. We didn't eat at the hotel, but did enjoy our brief time in their bar, Rye.
Molto buono

UUtente ospiteOur stay was actually nice. The only frustrating part is we had to come a day early for our stay due to bad weather coming Saturday night where we live & we had to be sure we could get home by Sunday. I spoke with the Trip.com gentleman and with me on the line he called the Delta hotel because I wanted to switch Saturday night to Thursday night due to bad weather coming. We were there to meet our new born granddaughter. After he spoke with Crystal, a customer service representative at Delta, he said everything will be fine, but I will need to make Thursday’s reservation directly with Delta reservations so he transferred me. Before he transferred me, I asked him if Saturday will be canceled and we will not have to pay. He said Delta Customerservice will take care of that so as I spoke to Crystal about it, she said you need to talk to Trip.com to get that taken care of because Trip.com does not refund, I told her I did talk to Trip.com and they told me that Delta will take care of it. And she said she would look into it so she transferred me to the reservation line and I made the reservation for Thursday, March 12. As we checked in, I brought this situation up and the gentleman at the front desk said to ask about it Friday morning because I had to check out then check back in. So Friday morning I went to the desk to discuss the situation and to check in again because this booking was through Trip.com. The manager was there and she explained to me that they don’t give a refund, but I explained to her that I talked to Trip.com and Crystal, from Delta and she said she would take care of it. To me taking care of it was canceling, and we would not have to pay for that extra day so the manager stated she would look into it. Saturday morning, as I checked out, Crystal was at the front desk and I went through the hole discussion again, and she did have something written down that she looked at, and she said we need to cancel through Trip.com the third-party reservation and that Delta will not refund us for Saturday night. I do understand the rules, but also as customer service from both Trip.com and Delta I would think because we’ve stayed Thursday night that we should not have to pay for Saturday night being that it was the same amount of nights. In the end we paid for a night that we did not stay therefore I feel either Delta or Trip.com got paid twice for that night cause I’m sure that room was taken by another customer, my hope is that we can be refunded for the Saturday night we were charged for and did not stay on top of this. We ended up paying more which I was fine to do being that we had to book through Delta for Thursday night, which I will always book directly with a hotel, and no longer a third-party since they do not consider blizzard weather a reason to get home. Please consider a refund for Saturday night. Thank you, Mindy Kottke.
LLuvmarleyThis is my second time to stay here. I have a service dog who is an ESA, which I had informed the hotel of when I made the booking. I had stayed there the previous weekend and when I checked in, there weren’t any issues with any of the staff with my having an ESA staying there. I only had an incident with the night manager who complained about the dog being in the hotel. This is when I was on the way to eat at the restaurant. The host & the server had no issues with the dog being there and they commented that she was actually more behaved than many small children that come the food was amazing btw. I twice had the dog near me as well in the pool area tethered while I was swimming & while I was in the hot tub & there were no issues with the staff then. However, the next time I stayed, they would not let me have the dog with me in the pool area tethered. They then ended up kicking me out of the hotel as I would not leave the pool as I felt this to be unjust as the dog wasn’t bothering anyone. Also, she cannot be in the room by herself as she will cry & bark which would bother our neighbors. I also will not leave her in the car. Basically because of my ESA dog-a Pomski of 14lbs, I was kicked out of the hotel at 10:30 at night escorted by 3 policemen on a Saturday with nowhere to stay. I had to sleep on my friends couch for a few hours, and find another place to stay the next day which excepted my ESA dog without any issues. I will not be staying at this resort again because of this horrific experience.

UUtente ospiteNo frills hotel, meets the basic needs.
First night walking on the carpet in our room barefoot & the carpet seemed damp, like maybe they steam cleaned it. I used the pull out couch for my 5 year old, when setting it up I noticed a heavily wet spot in the carpet by the mini fridge, the pullout is fine for kids that can sleep on anything but I found it too thin to even comfortably sit on.
By morning the wet spot by the fridge was even bigger, we informed the front desk & they said they'd let maintenance know to go up to check, to our knowledge they never did.
The pool was nice & luke warm at all times, they use salt water which is nicer than the chemical smell of chlorine.
The included breakfast buffet is ok. The waffle maker is always a hit with kids. We recommend skipping the eggs and sausage, they gave us tummy troubles. Coffee was awful according to my husband & tea provided is just plain Lipton.
Location right off the expressway is great, travel to downtown events was less than 15 minutes away. Plenty of stores & restaurants nearby.
For a fully booked weekend stay it was very quiet.
We would consider going here again for the price, pool & location.
UUtente ospiteCame here with my husband to visit my hometown so I know the area very well. Best location to stay and explore and with all the new changes to downtown. However, even though location is good I will never stay again. I wouldn’t call it a hotel but more motel. It was on the better side though (cute) I would say. Definitely the hotel cost way more than is should. There’s an additional $20 that they say is for wifi/renting bikes/24 hr lobby/yoga mats/indoor and outdoor games/live music/gym/parking/discounts at certain stores of downtown in which they don’t even know of or which ones they are. However, I didn’t use any of that so I pretty much used up $20 ok nothing. If it was part of the hotel price itself then ok I understand but a separate charge for these amenities is ridiculous. When you look at the hotel photos you’ll also find that there aren’t photos of the bathrooms and kind of understandable. Bathroom wasn’t too bad but also not in the best condition (definitely could use remodeling).
AApril FilesThis may be one of the finest hotels we experienced during our travels in the USA. The staff were exceptionally friendly, starting from the moment we entered the hotel. Ms. Stephanie, we are incredibly grateful for your kind assistance and understanding. They recognized how exhausted we were from our adventures at the remarkable Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, so they expedited our check-in process and provided us with various resources to help us regain our energy. They truly paid attention to our needs and responded swiftly. We sincerely appreciate that. The room is clean and cozy, and the view from the 23rd floor is fantastic. The food is excellent. The Harley-Davidson Museum is located just about a mile from the hotel, and we were able to reach many fascinating places within walking distance. The city view is breathtaking. We hope to return to Milwaukee someday, and if we do, we will certainly choose The Pfister Hotel again. Thank you very much!
UUtente ospiteLake Lawn is a beautiful resort with so much to do without ever leaving the resort. The lake views are amazing, there are 3 different places to eat, a huge indoor pool and hot tub along with two large outdoor pools that we didn’t use due to it being April. In the warmer weather you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, and even boats. We are definitely coming back to enjoy the summer activities, but it’s also amazing for colder weather since the resort is so large with a game room, indoor pool, and restaurants, you can wear the kids out without ever leaving the resort. It’s also only 15 mins from downtown Lake Geneva to enjoy more shopping and restaurants and only 3-4 mins to the town of Delavan that has all basic needs like Walmart, Kohls, Fleet Farm and lots more restaurants. It’s truly an awesome place.
UUtente ospiteDefinitely a value but don’t expect more. We have stayed here off and on for many years. The building is really showing its age. However, it is as close to the shore as anyone can get. The building must take a beating from Mother Nature over the winter. The sunrise from our room was magnificent. With that view, who cares about weathered paint? The room was clean and mercifully quiet for our dog but nothing special to brag about. The staff was first-rate in every way. The restaurant was as pleasant a setting as ever. One of our meals was excellent, the other clearly reheated with instant potatoes. The free breakfast should be renamed “morning snacks.” We are likely to stay there again for the lake view and shore walk. We aren’t looking for the Ritz Carlton.
