Cina: hotel con bar nella provincia di Jiangsu

Cosa mi è piaciuto: camera d'albergo elegante, in stile inglese, con un'ampia selezione di film, bevande del minibar di base, camera di categoria superiore con giardino privato, letto comodo, posizione meravigliosa ed esteticamente gradevole. Cosa non mi è piaciuto: la porta della veranda aperta all'arrivo per far uscire uno strano odore, anche se mi era stato detto che avrei potuto rimanere nella mia camera di categoria superiore la notte successiva se avessi deciso di prolungare la permanenza. In seguito mi è stato detto che non era possibile, sentivo letteralmente il rumore delle persone che usavano il bagno nel cuore della notte (grazie a Dio i film hanno contribuito a rendere tutto più silenzioso), lo scarico del water che sembrava il mio e nessuna colazione, di cui ero a conoscenza in anticipo. È abbastanza pulito ed è un buon posto dove dormire se si ha il sonno pesante. Ho pagato per la tecnologia e l'estetica e ho perso il sonno, costringendomi a fare il check-in in un altro hotel presto per dormire il giorno dopo, perdendo preziose ore di luce a causa della stanchezza derivante dal soggiorno in questo hotel. Purtroppo, non tornerò in questo hotel, anche se ho intenzione di visitare questa meravigliosa città molte altre volte.

All staff are very friendly. Very recommend for foreigner who wish to stay for a lovely and relaxing place in SuZhou. After staying for three consecutive nights, the final night turned out to be an extremely unpleasant experience. A group of loud and inconsiderate local women checked into the room next to mine. They were shouting and making noise late into the night, keeping me awake until 11:30 PM, and then woke me up again at 5 AM. I called the front desk twice to report the situation, and even walked to their door in my pajamas to record the noise they were making. I paid over RMB 1,450 for that night, yet I believe these guests, likely part of a tour group, probably paid very little—if anything at all. Situations like this shouldn't happen even in a well-managed budget hotel, let alone in a five-star, landmark hotel in Wuxi. If we say that guest behavior is beyond the hotel’s control, then what happened the next morning, on the day of my checkout, was even more baffling. The hotel changed its name overnight. The well-known management brand Hyatt officially parted ways with the hotel owner, and this hotel, once under a globally recognized brand, became a local one overnight. Staff morale was visibly low, and many seemed to face the uncertainty of possible unemployment, which clearly weighed on their minds. In the breakfast area, at the yogurt station, I couldn’t find a bowl to serve yogurt. I asked two different staff members for assistance, but both of them responded with blank expressions and said absolutely nothing to me. I felt completely ignored—even invisible. While I had only planned to report the disruptive guests, the indifference of the breakfast staff truly triggered my frustration. I immediately called to file a formal complaint. The hotel's Guest Experience Manager met with me in person, offered a sincere apology, and after learning more about the situation behind the scenes, I accepted the explanation and chose to forgive. As luck would have it, when I checked out, I ended up sharing the elevator with the same group of disruptive women. Their loud conversation inside the elevator sounded like a chorus of honking cars on a busy street. Instinctively, I raised my voice and shouted at them—and suddenly, the entire elevator went silent. Was it just a coincidence? I wasn’t angry anymore, but somehow, I felt vindicated. That’s the end of the story. I’m on the plane now, finally heading back to Sydney, Australia.

The hotel has good reviews so I was a bit surprised when I received mail telling me that the soundproofing is bad and they can offer earplugs. I did not believe and I was right. The hotel is immaculately clean, well located, just perfect for a layover or late night Nanjing arrival. There are strange things, though (they do not lower my opinion but are worth mentioning). The first thing is that the room tells you something in Chinese when you first enter it, the second is the set next to the bed. I was offered by trip.com extra soft drinks and a fruit. I got soft drinks but bet it was not the ftuit

My whole stay at this one of the best ones i’ve ever stayed. Staff are all very friendly and approachable. And almost all of them are courteous towards me and my family. One of the Staffer, Wan Bin, was meticulous in handling my case and handled it professionally. Overall, the stay, food and and hotel staff is very helpful. This stay is highly recommended.

All good except the room service, which I was forced to use, as I had to work late from my room. Ordering was not at all simple (having not spotted the QR code notice on the fridge work top. But response was swift, so too was delivery of the order. However, the ”Ceasar Salad” was sorrowful! Lettuce leaves awash in some sort of watery white fluid, with no discernable taste, some croutons and a few pieces of dried bacon. Especially disappointing given how lovely the fruit and vegetables are most of the time in China. Main course ”Lemon and Herb Chicken” should have been listed as ”Lemon and Herb Skin and Bones”!!! There was virtually NO actual chicken meat. Roated tomatoes and asparagus were lovely, Dessert was uninspiring, but compared to the salad and main course for sure the best course. The Wine? Completely undrinkable. Opened, poured a small amount to taste, spoilt. It happens, sadly! Would be a good idea to open the wine to test before serving

La stanza era pulita, il servizio era grande e veloce, la posizione era proprio nel centro della città, anche se si stava davvero giacendo attraverso le ore di picco. Ma questo hotel è così comodo, ha aggiunto più colori al mio viaggio Xuzhou

Sulla via pedonale Shilu, sopra la Torre della Porta della Città, si accede attraverso la Porta della Città Alta. L'ascensore, incastonato tra una fila di lanterne, sale ai piani superiori. È piuttosto stretto e difficile da individuare. Ho prenotato una camera king-size online, ma all'arrivo si è rivelata una camera con tatami. La descrizione della camera non lo specificava, il che è stato piuttosto scomodo. Ho dovuto togliermi e rimettermi le scarpe di continuo per muovermi nella stanza. Questo è un hotel recentemente ristrutturato, quindi c'è un leggero odore. C'erano persino dei detriti di ristrutturazione non rimossi negli angoli della stanza, il che era un po' fastidioso. Per diffondere l'odore, l'aria condizionata era al massimo, facendo parecchio rumore.

Riassumendo: il rapporto qualità-prezzo non è alto! Non c'è nemmeno un divano all'ingresso a questo prezzo 😏 Servizi: Non c'è una mensola in bagno, solo ganci; è scomodo cambiarsi. Il rubinetto è rotante e l'acqua calda e fredda vanno nella stessa direzione, il che rende scomodo regolare la temperatura dell'acqua; C'è una sola tessera all'ingresso, che serve anche per salire e scendere dall'ascensore, in modo che chi viaggia insieme non possa agire separatamente! La cosiddetta intelligenza di tutta la casa non è abbastanza intelligente. Quando si spengono le luci, si chiudono anche le tende. Chiamare Xiaoan non è abbastanza sensibile. Ci vogliono diverse chiamate per rispondere. È facile svegliare la famiglia quando ci si alza nel cuore della notte per chiedere di accendere le luci. Sarebbe meglio installare più interruttori; Anche il condizionatore emette un suono tremolante nel cuore della notte. Ambiente: La zona circostante è piuttosto vivace e Kwun Tong Street è adiacente. Dopo il check-in è possibile fare shopping. Servizio: A dire il vero, la ragazza alla reception è molto entusiasta e viene a prendere chi arriva in auto al parcheggio. Ma ci sono davvero tante cose di cui lamentarsi riguardo alla camera. Mi dispiace di non poter dare cinque stelle! P.S.: Il progettista dell'hotel non ne ha trovata una buona?
