1. Location: It's convenient and great if you don't have a car as it's only 10 mins away from the city centre. There is a bus stop to go to the airport and city just next to the hotel. There's the Queenstown Trail track just down the road if you wish to have a pleasant walk along the lake. 2. Service: The guy who did our check-in did it like he was repeating a song that he was fed up with singing. Good for those in a hurry who like express check-in with 0 personalization or care but that was NOT a 5* check-in. 3. Room: Booked a standard room on Luxury Escapes, but I don't think the hotel should be on this ”high standard” booking platform. Our room was on the ground floor, so everybody could see us and our belongings. The room was old and small. We had very little room left being 2 people with 2 big luggages. One of the two glasses in the bathroom was still dirty from the previous guests. The blinds didn't work properly and we had to find tricks to close them so people wouldn't see us get changed or sleep! Your sleep might get disturbed if passersby are loud and drunk lol. The washing machine was literally just in front of our room door (a thin door) and woke us up super early one morning. The TV didn't work. Big lack of plugs outlets. Overall, if you're planning on spending the entire day outside and getting back to the room just for sleep then you're fine but don't expect anything fancy.

Absolutely brilliant stay - wouldn't stay anywhere else. We had one night here, our second night at a different hotel for a conference, then back here for two nights. This place was by far the all round winner! So close to town (a 2 minute walk) and having full kitchen facilities was a definite bonus. Great hosts and super easy check in and check out.

Lunghezza del pavimento della porta/ finestra di vetro per balcone che guarda le montagne. Sulla strada è attualmente vacante il terreno così privato e nessun traffico auto. Il bagno è comodo e grande doccia ma senza ferrovia a tovagliolo riscaldato. È a circa 5 minuti a piedi per gli negozi, tra cui un grande supermercato e alcuni locali alimentari. Il servizio pubblico di autobus è disponibile a Arrowtown o Queenstown ma è molto sporadica triste e i servizi sono cancellati. Ma ci sono voluti 18 minuti per arrivare a Queenstown e costare $2/adult invece di un taxi a circa $40! La pulizia della stanza era talvolta molto tardi nel giorno, ma non ci ha disturbato perché non ne avevamo bisogno. Il parcheggio è disponibile in avanti ma prima in arrivare. Quindi durante la stagione di picco immagino sia un problema. Cons: è una 15 minuti di auto a Queenstown, nessuna tovagliola riscaldata in bagno e parcheggio può essere un problema.

Questo era il nostro secondo soggiorno, e spero non il nostro ultimo; il personale era amichevole e molto utile, per consentirci di entrare in anticipo. Abbiamo avuto un unico alloggio (sovvento quattro), divano confortevole, bellissimo ponte solare, lavatrice e asciugatrice, bagno spa, grande cucina, frigorifero/congelatore di dimensioni piene, forno, lavastoviglie, parcheggio assegnato e molto conveniente per la città (3 minuti a piedi). Tutto in ottima condizione. Vicino a molti ristoranti, camion da pranzo e supermercato.

Siamo rimasti qui solo per una notte dopo aver lasciato l'orribile alloggio di Haast che ci avevano prenotato. È stato un piacere trovare una grande suite completa con salotto, zona da pranzo, cucina e lavatrice e asciugatrice per bucato, ben attaccato nel bagno, anche se le nostre camere erano molto tranquille. Ci sono molte strutture sul sito, ma non abbiamo usato nessuna di esse, quindi non possiamo commentare.

There were lots of great things about this place, and at the same time it's the strangest place I have stayed in! First the great things - immaculate, amazing bed and super amazing shower. Large room, All of that was perfect. Then the not so great - nothing in the room to read about where to go for food, whether any place might deliver, wanted to order breakfast and it didn't seem to be an option. Ended up googling, then not finding the place I was looking for in Mosgiel (maybe it's shut down? It was all dark) so was happy to find Countdown and a soup for dinner with some food for breakfast. Then the terrible - they say they are contactless, which is all fine in this new world. I didn't know this before I came. As a result I didn't see a soul and as a traveller from out of town who was on her own I felt a little unsafe at having no contact with anyone (even at a distance would have been OK!). It felt a bit post-apocalyptic. I was wondering if they are scared to see people! This is New Zealand and there is no COVID in the community, so it seemed a bit over the top. I had trouble locking the door (it's a European lock and the instructions weren't enough for me), so went looking for help. Rang the door bell. No reply (there was a car outside and the lights were on). Then saw a notice saying I should phone. Did that and the recorded message said no one was available to talk to me Then got a text saying ”Please text me”, did that saying I can't lock the door. No reply. I texted again asking if someone could please help me. Then I got a text back with better instructions which worked. That was the sum contact I had. If I had a serious problem would anyone have helped me? I didn't feel safe, as it felt like there was no one who would help out at all. In this regard I found the place quite unwelcoming. If they had reading material in the room with helpful info and including some warm and welcoming words, and so I could know that someone was there and actually cared, it would have helped a lot. I would have been quite happy not to see anyone, but to know they were there in the event of an emergency. So the summary - this was the most comfortable place I have stayed in for a long time. But as a single female traveller who needed some help with the room and a pointer as to where to get food on a winters night, I didn't feel safe.

We booked a Mountain View room and we were not disappointed! The street was under construction but it did not impede access or our views. We were very surprised at how large the rooms were, with a comfortable front/living room space and a large bathroom. It was just my husband and myself so we used the extra twin bed for our bags. There was a small stand alone closet and one luggage rack for use. The breakfast basket was lovely with bread, granola bars, muffins, yogurt, packaged fruit smoothies and apples. Very quiet despite proximity to a chain hotel and the many skiers in town on holiday. It’s a short walk to town and the main area is quite compact so we always elected to walk. Others have noted “the hill” on the way back up. It is steep but fairly short. The room was clean and warm. The tub was a bit high to step into but I’m finding that to be the standard here. Very happy with our stay. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed here for 5 nights, 2 adults and 2 kids. There are definite pro's and con's here. Positives: Location is near perfect. 5 minute walk into town, slightly longer on way back going up the hill, but going via the playground made it easier with the kids. Easy to get to the airport and supermarkets if you have a car. Beds were very comfortable. The unit is spacious and well laid out, pretty much all amenities are covered for self catering. Designated parking space a big plus. Negatives: The unit needed a good clean. There were numerous cobwebs on the ceiling beams that had clearly been there a while. The extractor fan and light over the oven didn't work. Its quite dark inside, and one of the lights over the dining table was hanging out of the ceiling. Not all that private, as soon as you open your curtains to let natural light in, other units can see inside. Outside area for our unit was cramped and furniture needed a clean. Overall, not bad for a last minute booking, but would be better with a bit of TLC.

This apartment is without doubt the most spectacular I have stayed in for amenities, space and view - it is often said that it is possible to 'drop a stone' off the balcony into a lake - at this place you can! I complained about the price for just 2 people (even though I knew and everywhere else was booked out) so we were upgraded to the top floor 3 bedroom 2 bathroom luxury apartment. Management and staff were helpful and friendly.

Recentemente ci siamo trasferiti per una settimana in un'unità di camera che si trova al fondo del complesso e più vicino al lago Wakatipu. Il percorso e il parcheggio non sono per il debole cuore - è un rapido giro dalla strada principale. A causa della natura rigida del sito ci è un pieghevole per accedere al parcheggio al piano inferiore. Il parcheggio stesso è uno spazio stretto. Ci sono stati alcuni voli di scala verso la nostra stanza che non ci hanno disturbato, ma potrebbero essere problematici per gli altri.

Amazing place to stay, we had the 2 bdrm, 2 bathroom suite on the top floor (stair access) Views to die for, it was sparkling clean with awesome heating, super comfy beds, top of the range linen, coffee machine, microwave, great wifi, sky TV, huge balcony and we couldn't have asked for more. The staff were attentive and responsive and friendly. Love love love the place....

Close to town (5 min walk) , fire was on when we got there - place was immaculate well stocked and guest communication top notch. Apartment was above expectations, all in all made our stay in queenstown so easy. lucky we bought groceries when close to the airport as not many supermarkets close to queenstown but we would stay here again in a flash. - thanks Staysouth. Sono qui per due notti, e a causa del mio aereo che arrivava presto, avevo intenzione di lasciare le mie borse alla ricezione e andare a cercare fino al check-in. Mi sorprendeva e mi compiaceva che la ragazza in ricezione avesse potuto portare la mia stanza pronta presto, quindi potevo riposare dopo il volo. La ragazza alla reception era anche molto consapevole della zona e poteva fornire mappe e consigli di riserve da provare. La stanza stessa era al centro della gamma, ma molto pulita e temperata e la pressione del doccia è sorprendente! Si consiglia di prendere questo hotel per i viaggiatori soli e per i commercianti per la posizione centrale.

Bella posizione, appartamento tranquillo, casa piccola e elegante è molto elegante.Le strutture sono comode, la cucina è separata, adatto a una tripla camera, e il letto è necessario per coprire un letto nella sala.
