Falmouth: i migliori appartamenti

Fifth visit to the duchy, this time with friends, as always warm welcome from James on door, check in smooth and quick, room immaculate and spotless clean, breakfast very good, table service for drinks in lounge a little hit and miss, all in all a very enjoyable stay, roll on 2025.

We stayed here at the weekend but unfortunately the reality did not live up to expectations. We booked a Superior Double Room at cost £251.10 for the night (b&b). Although we were aware the hotel had changed owners and is in line for a renovation I think the standard for the price charged was low and defiantly not worth the rate charged. Our room did indeed have a sea view but that was where any sense of Superior ended, the room was extremely dated with the dark furniture, dated and worn, the carpet was stained and discoloured. The dated bathroom smelled of drains and had a tired jacuzzi bath suite with curtains felt miles from Superior. Breakfast again felt moor coach party than Superior, the sausages and bacon were tasteless and presentation very unappealing. In the interest of fairness the staff were helpful and friendly and the building has great potential, its setting is beautiful and location excellent to access the area. I know the hotel will reply saying its just been taken over and work will be done (I am sure it will be something special) but I think with all that in mind the prices charged should reflect the existing condition of the offering.

The individually designed rooms at Tregenna features private facilities and all rooms offer tea and coffee facilities, a TV and hairdryer, and many have views across Falmouth Harbour. Tregenna Guest House serves a full English breakfast each morning in the bright conservatory. There is also a large sun terrace with ample seating and a TV lounge. Just 5 minutes’ walk from Falmouth Town Railway Station, Tregenna House is a 10-minute walk from The Cornwall Maritime Museum. Falmouth’s sandy beach is also just 10 minutes’ walk, and Falmouth Golf Club is a 5-minute drive away.

I booked to stay here due to an event I was attending at the Princess Pavilion (extremely well situated for this) but had also stayed here several years ago and was keen to revisit. A lot seems to have changed in that time, but for the better. The hotel has a really lovely modern and relaxed vibe, the general ambiance and feel was just what I needed. Check in was really good, I was personally shown through the main areas of the hotel and key areas pointed out which was really helpful. My single room (was dreading a 3' bed which most fortunately it was not!) was really lovely. Very comfortable bed, and lovely facilities. A really relaxing base for my long weekend. I enjoyed breakfast in the hotel each morning and ate in Nourish in the evenings. All food was expertly cooked, and all staff were friendly and professional. I also enjoyed using the gym, pool, sauna and steam room which were all great, and managed to squeeze in the Hydrothermal Experience before I left which was amazing. The hotel is well situated for the beach and SW coast path (which I walked some of locally), and is easy to get to without having to go through the town. I also enjoyed a good trip around West Cornwall whilst in the area which was also really interesting despite poor weather, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Checkout was friendly and seamless which was very much appreciated. Already thinking of an excuse to go back!

Buono, se non eccezionale, cibo e molte cose. Situazione sulla seconda fila indietro dalla spiaggia, quindi un piacevole passo veloce; non troppo lontano da città/restauranti.

Volevo davvero dare un 4.5 qui invece di un 4, l'hotel è situato in alcuni bellissimi luoghi con grandi viste, ci erano 3 di noi in giro con le nostre biciclette e hanno potuto parcheggiare molto vicino all'hotel che era grande. Tutti i membri del personale erano fab che erano davanti alla casa erano amichevole e chatte, gli eroi di penmere sono il personale della cucina, il pasto serale era fantastico e al colazione, anche se è cucinato per ordinare un buon prodotto di qualità è stato utilizzato, Qualsiasi cosa ti piace per colazione, la scelta è abundante. L'unico motivo per cui non avevo dato una 5 stelle era la stanza, come altri hanno detto, è stanca e ha dato una giornata nella mia stanza, ha un bagno con sedile in plastica a buon mercato e ha un po' ingoiato, quindi era in un angolo strano dietro, Il tessuto era stato spazzato sotto la finestra e le tende non si erano chiuse completamente, potevano anche fare con alcuni chiusure di sicurezza sul pavimento non si sono immaginate dormire con finestre che potrebbero essere completamente aperte dall'esterno, che è probabilmente buono per alcuni in estate. A parte il fatto che fosse un buon soggiorno di notte e può raccomandare e restare qui di nuovo.

I chose this hotel as the one I usually stay at is expensive. On arrival it was easy to park on the street outside the property. Check in was easy, you just push the bell and you are checked in straight away. My room was pleasantly upgraded which I was pleased about and that was kind. The room was very clean and comfortable, nice little touch with the chocolates on the bed! Nice tea making facilities with biscuits. Shower toiletries available. Free wifi. Breakfast, I asked if I could have breakfast a bit earlier as I needed to be somewhere and they accommodated me very well. Lovely breakfast and lots of choice. I would stay here again 🙂
