Newcastle West: i migliori appartamenti

Il nostro studio era in grande condizione - molto spazioso e pulito. Ci piaceva l'area comunale con punti di pagamento, l'aspetto generale e il senso dell'hotel. Era un po' alto a notte, perché c'era un pub popolare all'angolo.

Newcastle è una cittadina che si estende su un'area estremamente vasta : per raggiungere lo stabile ci abbiamo messo un bel pò dal cartello Newcastle . Questo per dire che l'edificio non è vicino al centro anche se sulla cartina potrebbe sembrarlo. Il nostro appartamento era al 9° piano , bellissimo con una vista spettacolare su una parte della città. Poi andando nei particolari , era un pò delabro , ma pulito , equipaggiato con asciugamani , un bell'angolo cucina dotato di tutto , due bagni , due camere da letto , un grande soggiorno con tv e un balcone con tavolo e panche . Silenzioso , riposante , tenuto bene . Abbiamo parcheggiato nel parcheggio riservato all'alloggio , comodo per salire e per poi ripartire .

The good : The rooms are large , spacious, and good size kitchen, and lounge and eating eras with seperate bedroom and washing facilities, so great for a longer stay as I did for 7 days. The pool and spa are a nice touch all indoors and very relaxing after a hot humid day. The rooms are very neat and tidy, starting to show their age a bit, but still very functional. The beds are a bit firm and could have the room for king size, i think the mattress could be due for a replacement. The bathrooms are aged some what with the old step into the bath to have a shower routine, thus time for a refurbishment to be carried out on those. The OK: Only one air con for the large rooms, so your bedroom can get quite hot, and my ceiling fan didn’t work, so not as comfortable as it could have been. Some of the carpets in hallways are a bit thread bear and needs replacing, and the pool area needs a repaint, but all minor issues . The bad: Seems to be a theme with quests of late, the car park, besides the fact getting into the place to do a check in is near impossible as there is no parking on the street , so park a few blocks away, walk to the entrance and get the remote to open the 30 dollar a day car parking gate, the parking is 30 dollars a day for your car to sit in the sun or rain and not get stolen on the street, so lets call the room rate +30 dollars, as there is NO WAY you would park your car on the street around the area, as its a bit seedy at night. Honestly just include it in the room rate and if you don’t park here you get a 30 dollar discount… ?? There was a time car parks for a hotel were free… I must be old school, I guess ;)
