As a solo traveler I highly recommend Magnum's as a safe, well located and value for money accommodation provider. Great service, facilities and fantastically located. With Woolworths next door, well stocked and clean kitchen and great adjacent coffee shop, my needs were well met. Even with the pub pumping at full blast, there was no noise interrupting a peaceful sleep.
Will definitely be back!

Only lost one point from me, because of the WiFi signal but I can live without I'm just glad I don't have the kids with me. Personally apart from that my stay was flawless. It has the perfect, location, service, security, cleanliness, not overly priced and I've also saved a lot of cigarettes (because I'm too lazy to walk outside to have one). Then there's the bed!! Wow the bed is lovely, on arrival I had things to do but I laid down for a ”little bit” and I woke up at midnight 😬😮😁
I will definitely be returning in the future. .

Recently renovated rooms with modern facilities. The bistro has one of the finest menus you'll ever see in pubs. The best place to wind down whether you're on holidays or just stopping overnight. The onsite BWS is also quite handy.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Our room was modern, very clean and quiet. Lovely comfortable bed. Restaurant - pub food- but very nice. I had the slow cooked beef cheeks which were melt in your mouth. Every single member of the staff were very pleasant and welcoming including the shop assistant at the BWS next to the hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

Avevo solo bisogno di un posto dove dormire e fare la doccia mentre ero in viaggio per lavoro. Molto comodo e molto conveniente. Il personale è davvero cordiale ed è stato un piacere parlare con loro. L'unica cosa è che la stanza aveva un odore un po' strano, ma dopo un po' ci ho fatto l'abitudine.

La maggior parte del servizio da Tania non è solo estremamente amichevole, ma anche molto efficiente.Abbiamo dimenticato il nostro computer dietro e lei ci ha aiutato a spedirlo al nostro prossimo destino.

UUtente ospiteFirstly, the room was excellent, ultra clean with bath and shower. The sheets were exemplary, bed very comfortable as were the pillows.
Bar fridge and microwave, toiletries in the bathroom.
Towels excellent.
Airconditioning excellent.
I was excited to see a very large, modern wide screen TV with onboard Android system.
Disappointed that no internet connection (so I could have used my own passwords for my streaming services.
Even more disappointed that there was no aerial connected, but I had brought my own tech and internet. I just switched off the TV.
Imagine my extreme displeasure to board the 3rd floor lift at 05:00 to have the doors closed - but no button worked!
I WAS TRAPPED IN THE LIFT!!!
I pressed the yellow emergency button for 5 seconds - no answer - pressed multiple times.
I phoned the hotel main number, so they could press the lift call button - no answer.
I phoned the 24/7 emergency 1300 number. The operator said she would send someone out - who would phone me with an ETA.
Getting anxious, being 60 years old with a heart condition, I dialled 000 to call the POLICE!
The dispatcher commended me on remaining so calm.
I assured her, being very hot in cramped spaces with very little air was definitely not conducive to my remaining calm.
They said to call 000 back if I got out before the fire brigade arrived.
Five minutes later I heard voices outside. Someone heard my banging on the lift doors and cries for help.
I GOT OUT
That night the guy on reception said sorry.
I explained that, although the room was marvelous - and that I did eventually get out, a man of my age and I'll health could have died - why wasn't anyone on duty to answer the damn lift emergency phone?
He said he was sorry.

UUtente ospiteWe didn't expect our stay to be in such a wonderful setting. With tennis court, fantastic pools area with gym etc. we were on the 2nd floor with Riverview WOW. THE resort is totally central to all. Also the cost factor unbelievable not your normal Surfer Paradise $$$$$. Totally recommend

UUtente ospiteI had a great stay at Gilligan’s! The room was spacious and clean, and I was even lucky enough to have the whole dorm to myself one night. I still managed to meet plenty of people, despite being a solo traveller, thanks to the social atmosphere and nightlife. It’s worth noting that the bar/club area didn’t really get busy until late in the evening (11:30pm onwards), and the hostel is pretty deserted during the day thanks to everyone being out on tours/experiences. My room was overlooking the pool/bar area, so did get noisy at night, but the hostel offers free earplugs at reception which did the trick. It was great to have an en-suite in the room, and the bathroom was in good condition. The location is ideal, right within the hub of Cairns City, however I didn’t feel particularly safe as a solo female traveller in the area at night, so it’s definitely important to be aware of that/travel in a group where possible. The on-site travel agency is helpful and approachable, and staying at the hostel means that you can get discounted drinks at the bar and free club entry before 11pm. I didn’t end up going to any of the weekday themed nights, but at the weekend the vibes downstairs were good. I would definitely recommend Gilligan’s to any young solo/group travellers who want to meet new people and experience Cairns’ party scene at a budget-friendly price!

FFlemingTaniaAbbiamo prenotato l'alloggio a Hola, a breve distanza dalla festa di compleanno di una birra locale che abbiamo partecipato.Ci ha sorpreso piacevolmente di questo alloggio in stile bouquet (solo 15 camere). Ogni camera è leggermente diversa da un artista locale che si trova in camera. Un potter locale ha fatto una tazza di caffè e tè. Tutto il contenuto del frigorifero è fonte locale (bottiglie sono riciclate) tutto è circa la sostenibilità- mobili da legno riciclato, un serbatoio d'acqua, energia solare, privato, tranquillo, e il letto più confortevole (ambien dormiamo molto bene) I prodotti della camera da bagno sono bellissimi: i botanici biologici progettati per sollevare il vostro umore che è vegan-friendly, crudelty-free e riempibile. Sulla strada è un parco, un ristorante thailandese, e mercati locali (Wed & Fri.) Ci siamo trasferiti solo una notte ma sicuramente ci rimanderemmo per un soggiorno più lungo la prossima volta, così potremmo godere i giardini e la prateria privata (picnic/ leggere un libro/chillout). Abbiamo già raccomandato Salve ai familiari e agli amici. Eumundi è un'unità 20-minute a Noosa (nord) o (sud) a Mooloolaba. Super pulito e molto nuovo/moderno. Il sacchetto di benvenuto contenente stronzate e cioccolato era un bel gesto.L'unica cosa molto piccola per me era che non c'era una capsula da doccia (ho i capelli lunghi), penso che perché le capsule da doccia sono di plastica va contro la loro idoneità filosofia. Ho fatto un bel pettine per usare, quindi è davvero l'unica cosa negativa che ho fatto.

UUtente ospiteWhilst everything was fairly reasonable, the food was overpriced rubbish. It was more akin to the local greasy Joe's and $35 bucks for 2 small sized peices of Snapper and 2 bucks worth of Salad did not impress at all. Staff were friendly and helpful, but they prices were outrageous for the standard. Which was overcooked and very disappointing. You might get away with it from unsuspecting overseas visitors, but I'm sorry to say it was crap. I guess when you have zero competition you better cop it or never book there again. If i was an international tourist I would not think anything food related was more than mediocre at best.
The room rate was fair priced, however dining was nothing short of highway robbery. I accept the distance to deliver supply's definitely added to the pricing, it fell way short of ones expectations of a resort level quality. $35 bucks for a meal that resembled Bain Marie cheap pub grub did not by any means cut the mustard.
It will be one and only time we ever stay there. Feeling ripped off, does not inspire retention or return guests.
Cheap 3 star venue that costs the equivalent of much more, renders this tired resort 3 stars at best.
Most visitors to any of these types of places have expectations of a higher standard.
Get the food right and pricing becomes a non issue.

UUtente ospiteNo staff at the front, ever. If you need assistance you are on your own trying to call them. Everyday there was someone else struggling to get in because the code didn’t work or the keypad was temperamental.
Check in wasn’t complicated but required time and effort following their links, if you are booking for someone else, like businesses do, you can’t get the entry code until you get the text messages and follow the check in process.
Balcony’s are useless and there is no sound insulation because of the balcony doors. The noise coming from the street to my room was the equivalent of just sleeping on the street.
Location was good for airport proximity and a Woolworths and some restaurants.
Room was clean, bathroom was cramped but did the job.
Lacked power outlets near the bed.
