Il resort si trova proprio lungo l'autostrada, il che è molto comodo. Eravamo stanchi di guidare, quindi abbiamo deciso di fermarci per la notte. The resort is nestled in a quiet harbour within a small village just a short distance from Puerto Galera — you can reach the town in about 10 minutes by tricycle for 50 pesos. The property sits right on the waterfront, with its courtyard opening directly onto the bay. The setting is incredibly serene, cosy and picturesque. The grounds feature plenty of relaxing spots: comfortable chairs, sun loungers and hammocks where you can unwind. We especially loved the chair near the large tree — it was the perfect place to relax! The sea near the resort is a bit murky due to local currents, so not many people swim here. However, this isn’t an issue at all, as you can quickly and affordably reach the stunning beaches of Sabang (I highly recommend La Laguna) by tricycle — or even on foot if you’re up for a walk. During low tide, you can explore the seabed right near the hotel. The resort also has a small swimming pool, and despite other guests staying there, we never had any trouble finding space to take a dip. The rooms are clean and well‑maintained, featuring a small kitchenette, stylish bathrooms and even a bathtub. We stayed on the ground floor, so we occasionally noticed small ants and once spotted a gecko — but they never caused any inconvenience. Please note that the air conditioning is rather weak, so the room might feel a bit stuffy or not quite cool enough at times. There’s both a ceiling fan and a standing fan available, though, and overall the accommodation was comfortable. The on‑site restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes for breakfast and other meals, with prices typical for a resort area. We were very pleased with the food. The staff are attentive, always smiling and eager to help. During our week‑long stay, the resort wasn’t crowded, which made for a truly relaxing experience — you really get what you came for. Occasionally, local guests can be a bit noisy, laughing loudly or singing karaoke, which might disturb your sleep or meditation. However, this is not the resort’s fault, and it’s still relatively quiet compared to other spots around Puerto Galera, such as White Beach. What could be improved: 1) Flip‑flops. It’s odd that a seaside resort doesn’t offer free flip‑flops like most similar places do — they only rent them out here. Even budget hotels usually provide this small convenience. 2) Charge for outside food. Corkage fees are normal, but charging an extra 150 pesos for any outside food is too much. Even though we weren’t charged, the mere existence of such a rule makes the resort look stingy. This rule should be removed. 3) Wi-Fi was dead almost all of the time. Don’t rely on it. Thanks to the Blue Crystal Resort for a nice stay! I highly recommend it.

Pulizia: La camera era molto pulita; la biancheria da letto, l'aria condizionata e il bagno erano tutti puliti e confortevoli. Contro: La camera aveva poca luce naturale e si affacciava sul corridoio di un altro edificio. Non erano presenti acqua in bottiglia, pantofole, asciugacapelli, bollitore, ecc., il che la rendeva piuttosto essenziale. Consiglio: Se possibile, prenotate il vicino Venus; è migliore sotto ogni aspetto e il prezzo è lo stesso.

Camera: ogni stanza ha un piccolo balcone. Il balcone è una piscina, il paesaggio è buono. Ambiente: si può dire che il rapporto prezzo è molto alto. La stanza è molto vicina al mare. Sono passati due minuti e c'è un porto dove si può vedere la scena globale. Ho anche portato un grande record di bellezza. Servizio: le sorelle del servizio sono molto entusiasti, specialmente la sorella Cystal, vi presenterà i viaggi che possono fornire, e vi presenterà i viaggi privati dell'hotel. From the moment we left the port, our Matinloc experience already felt special. The boat ride was smooth, and the boatmen immediately assisted us with our luggage. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Jam from FO/Reservations, who gave us a friendly tour and clear briefing. Even before the trip, Reservations Manager Ms. Jeannette had already been very responsive to my emails, making the planning stress-free. Our VIP villa, perched on a cliff, offered an astounding view that raised the standard of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the generous souvenirs and hygiene kits provided. The staff were consistently attentive and polite special thanks to FO Supervisor Ms. Jhona and their Korean General Manager for adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highlights of our stay included the refreshing fresh fruit shakes, fun water activities, the amazing walking path lined with century-old trees, and of course, the delicious food (their pizza was a standout). The WiFi was surprisingly fast..even powered by Starlink at the port. We also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of staff recommending where to get beers in town since they don’t sell alcohol on-site. Matinloc truly combines paradise-like views with genuine hospitality. Maraming salamat to the whole team for making this my best El Nido stay so far.. I would gladly return a hundred times over.

Abbiamo apprezzato molto il nostro soggiorno all'Huni Lio. Tutto il personale è disponibile, pronto ad assistervi e a soddisfare ogni vostra esigenza. Personale cordiale e servizio impeccabile. Ottimi servizi, piscina pulita e spiaggia per ammirare il tramonto. Adoriamo la colazione con un menù diverso ogni giorno, consigliamo vivamente i loro drink e la pizza per l'happy hour. Se cercate un alloggio tranquillo, questo è il posto giusto, non c'è bisogno di andare in città perché c'è un bellissimo villaggio con ottimi ristoranti, bar e negozi nelle vicinanze. La città di El Nido è raggiungibile in circa 15 minuti con il triciclo, al costo di 300 pesos al giorno. Consiglio vivamente questo posto e se mai dovessi tornare a El Nido, ci tornerò!

Il personale dell'hotel è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Ci sono 2 piscine disponibili, il che è fantastico. Anche il cibo del ristorante è fantastico! Tuttavia, sembrava che l'hotel fosse a corto di personale. Siamo arrivati ​​intorno alle 11:30, ma poiché il check-in è rigorosamente alle 14:00, siamo andati a pranzo al ristorante prima. Tuttavia, quando siamo tornati alle 14:00, ci hanno fatto aspettare altri 30 minuti perché c'era solo una receptionist e ci ha messo molto tempo a sistemare la famiglia prima di noi. Anche le pulizie sono arrivate in ritardo, nonostante avessimo messo il cartello ”sala trucco” prima di partire per il nostro tour. Quando siamo tornati alle 16:00, la nostra camera era ancora intatta e le pulizie sono arrivate solo alle 17:30. Anche l'insonorizzazione non era buona. Abbiamo sentito la nostra vicina di sopra spostare i mobili alle 4 del mattino.

We had an amazing stay at Sheraton Palawan! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive, especially the front office team who made us feel right at home. Their smiles and professionalism truly set the tone for our vacation. A very special mention goes to Hassanul Caye from the restaurant — he went above and beyond in accommodating our requests and made every dining experience extra memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options that kept us looking forward to every meal. The pool is impressively huge and perfect for both relaxation and fun, while the updated amenities gave us that modern yet cozy feel we were looking for. On top of it all, the breathtaking mountain view added such a serene and refreshing touch to our stay. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. Sheraton Palawan is truly a place where hospitality meets comfort, and we can’t wait to come back again soon!
