The receptionist was accomodating. I forgot her name but the hotel staffs were approachable. the location of the hotel is near to SM Lanang. Highly recommended hotel.

Everyone is nice. But staff needs to know more about the area and places that we asked they have no clue. Linens and towels needs to be replaced when the color is almost brown instead of white. Its a very old hotel We had to call to replaced our pillows because its smells like old sweat. We were so excited that its beach front not until they told us the water is not recommended for swimming. We had to go to another island and pay. We were disappointed with that.Breakfast buffet is good.

We recently stayed at Discovery Samal, and overall, it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. The resort itself is beautiful—clean, modern, and well-maintained. We really loved our room and the amenities; everything felt comfortable and high-quality. The beach and pool areas are also great for unwinding. That said, there are a few things to note. It was very hot during the daytime, and even the reception area (with fans only) felt quite warm. We first went to Malabar Lounge for drinks while waiting, and later tried the billiards to pass the time. We went back to the reception twice to follow up, but the room still wasn’t ready. We understood since check-in is at 3 PM, but we were told they would call once it was ready—and we didn’t receive any call. It might be because the signal is weak in some areas (there’s no signal inside the billiard room). If we hadn’t gone back to the reception at 3 PM, we honestly wouldn’t know what time we would have been allowed to check in. The check-in process itself also took a bit long, and we were only settled into our room around 3:30 PM. Also, since it’s a luxury hotel, food and drinks are expectedly on the expensive side. Despite these, we still had a great stay. The place is perfect for relaxing, and we truly enjoyed the experience overall. We’d still love to come back—maybe next time with family.

La prima volta a Davao e Samal Island.La posizione è molto vicina al cantiere.Il personale era amichevole e utile.Svegliato molto presto e già puliva la piscina e le aree circostanti per gli ospiti.Abbiamo avuto un buon tempo nella piscina e un po' di cammino in spiaggia.

The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe.  Breakfast and dining at the hotel also deserve special mention. The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying — a great way to start a busy day in Davao. Come viaggiatore di routine ho trovato che l'hotel era datato e non era ben fornito con piastre o cuttery. Ho informato un membro del personale del suono estremamente rumoroso e disturbante ventilatore di scarico nella suite 112, non ho fatto nulla e non ho mai avuto alcuna discussione da parte di nessun membro del personale. Abbiamo deciso di rimanere una notte che non era prenotato online e doveva pagare più peso anche se abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti prima. Non pensare che rimarrò qui di nuovo e probabilmente non fare una raccomandazione.

Grande posto per rilassarsi.La cena è grande.Il personale è attento. Spero solo che puliscano la linea di mare.
