The hotel is in the perfect location on Lake Louise; there are perks that only hotel guests can enjoy such as access to various areas close to the lake and pantry/restaurants during certain hours of the day. The service is very good and food at the restaurants are delicious. Kid friendly with activities and scavenger hunt to occupy kids. Expensive during peak season but worth it for comfort and convenience.

The receptionist was very cheerful and the room was very clean! It is also located conveniently in Downtown Calgary. However, the temperature of the shower can be a bit tricky to adjust as it will either be too hot or too cold. But I was very satisfied overall and would recommend this hotel to fellow solo travellers!

I recently stayed at Irwin’s Mountain Inn for a quick winter getaway, and overall, it’s a solid choice for those who want to be in the heart of Banff without the premium price tag of the luxury resorts. What I Loved: The Location: You really can't beat being right on Banff Avenue. It was a quick, scenic 5-10 minute walk to the downtown core for dinner and shopping. Plus, the ski shuttle stop is just steps away, which is a massive plus in January. The Amenities: After a cold day outside, the 8-person hot tub and dry cedar sauna were highlights. They were well-maintained and exactly what I needed to thaw out. The Staff: From check-in to check-out, the service was genuinely warm. They were happy to provide local tips and made the process seamless. On-site Dining: We grabbed breakfast at El Toro Restaurant inside the hotel. The food was surprisingly good—definitely a step above your standard hotel fare—and very convenient on a chilly morning. A Few Considerations: Noise Levels: As some other travelers have noted, the walls are a bit thin. I could occasionally hear activity in the hallways and the hum of the heating system, though it didn't ruin my sleep. Parking: The underground parking is a great perk (especially to keep the snow off the car), but it is limited and quite tight. If you’re arriving late in the evening during peak season, you might have to hunt for a spot. Room Vibe: The rooms are clean and functional, but they do feel a bit ”classic.” If you are looking for ultra-modern luxury, this isn't it—but for a cozy, budget-friendly mountain base, it hits the mark. Final Verdict: A fantastic mid-range option for winter travelers. It’s clean, cozy, and perfectly situated. I’d definitely stay here again for the convenience and the hot tub alone!

The Hotel is beautiful. From the main entrance, to the rooms and the Little Chief restaurant. Beds were very comfortable. Love the design elements of the room! Each staff encounter was excellent, they always exhibited a high level of customer service. Really appreciated the dining experience! Again the staff were very accommodating and approachable. We chose Indigenous courses that were excellent, although the portions were quite large. We attended the Colin James concert, which was epic! The venue was great! Perfect Birthday celebration!

Abbiamo soggiornato qui per una notte. La stanza era luminosa e spaziosa. Mi piaceva la porta doccia scivolante. In genere gli hotel hanno tende che si bagnano e talvolta si svuota l'acqua fuori. La camera era piccola ma pulita con buona luce. Ha un frigorifero, una microonde, un caffè e una TV. La finestra della stanza era bella e grande. La piscina e il tubo caldo erano una grande comodità. La piscina aveva bellissime finestre con grande vista. Mi piaceva la doccia/la camera da letto (con un bagno) vicino alla piscina, che mi rendeva conveniente fare doccia e cambiare prima di tornare in camera. La posizione era convenientemente situata vicino ai ristoranti e al canyon maligno (che era chiuso a causa del fuoco selvatico). Colazione non inclusa. Mi consiglierei di rimanere qui. 

Il mio collega Rotary e io siamo venuti alla Conferenza internazionale Rotary 2025 a Calgary. Il soggiorno era piacevole. Il servizio era eccellente. La stanza era pulita ogni giorno, che era bello tornare a una stanza pulita. Il caffè e il tè sono stati riempiti ogni giorno, che è stato grande. Raccomando molto agli amici e alla famiglia. L'hotel era così vicino all'aeroporto. Il servizio di navetta è stato fornito all'aeroporto che era conveniente. Mi piaceva l'esposizione di lobby pronta per il 2015 Calgary Stampede dal 1° luglio 2025 per dieci giorni.

Overall, the hotel is very nice and well-equipped. The room was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There is also convenient parking, a pool, and other great amenities, which made the experience even better. However, there was an issue with the pricing that left us confused. I originally booked the room for $129, but at check-in I was charged $154 without any prior notice or explanation. Since we had been traveling for about 10 hours, I only noticed this the next day. To make things more confusing, the receipt I received later showed $132. While the difference is not huge, having three different prices without clarification felt uncomfortable and a bit disappointing. Because of this, I would think twice before booking here again.

It was a beautiful hotel with breathtaking mountain views and a peaceful atmosphere. The fresh mountain air was incredibly relaxing. The room was spotless, and the bathtub was especially comfortable. All of the staff were warm, kind, and genuinely welcoming. They made my stay even more enjoyable. I'd love to stay here again.

Ho avuto un bellissimo soggiorno di due notti a Banff. La stanza era senza spot, comoda e ben organizzata. Dopo lunghi giorni di piacere al bellissimo paesaggio di montagna, era il luogo perfetto per rilassarsi. Un ringraziamento speciale a Marilyn, che ha prestato un servizio eccezionale. Era gentile, attenta e genuina. La sua professionalità e gentilezza hanno reso l'intera esperienza ancora più piacevole. La posizione è eccellente, vicino al centro di Banff e circondato da un paesaggio naturale stupendo.

Hotel is a bit far from town but it provides free town shuttle. We booked the balcony room hoping to get a better view. We have rooms with big trees in front. When asked if we can change rooms, he won’t change since it’s not booked direct. The balcony room has little heat as the heater is smaller and the room is colder.
