Australia: hotel con spa nella provincia di Tasmania

This hotel met all our needs for the 3 night trip to Hobart. I would stay here again. It's centrally located to many things in town. The staff we met were all extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfy. Bathroom is small, but its not like its a place where we spent a lot of time so it gets the job done. My two suggestions would be to add a shelf in the bathroom where one could place their stuff and add an overhead light so you could turn on the light when you came in the room. If you're a modest traveler who doesn't need a lot of frills or ton of space but looking for a clean and cozy place to spend the night, you'll like it just fine!

There is not a lot of choice when looking for a place to stay in Devonport - so our key criteria was being within walking distance of the town centre and having free on-site car parking. First impressions of the hotel when we walked in was that it was very dated and in need of a major renovation - there were obviously some areas which had been refurbished such as the front reception but most of the areas need a significant overhaul. Our room was downstairs on the ground floor and walking down the stairs it felt like we were going down to the basement - the carpets needed replacement and the walls repainting. The room itself, a family room was very spacious for just two people - had plenty of storage space, decent work desk, large key sized bed, decent working a/c, though the Wi-Fi was slow with limited bandwidth. Even though the decor in the room was tired and worn, the bathroom had been refurbished the bed was relatively new (nice plush mattress and clean bed linen). The room overlooked the rear car parking area, which meant I could keep a check on the car, not that I was expecting a view given the relatively cheap room rate ($110/night as opposed to $176/night). The room however was relatively dark, with only a single window. We took advantage of the QR code room service for our breakfast option, due to its connivence - the food was alright (not amazing) and on occasions was cold/warm rather than hot. The timing of housekeeping was a bit erratic, as sometimes when we arrived back after lunch it still hadn't been done and other times it was done as soon as we left in the morning. Resupplies to the room by housekeeping was also inconsistent, sometimes we had hand towels and bathmats replaced other times we were left without. Same with tissues and water bottles. The rear car parking area had CCTV cameras, so I was comfortable with the surveillance/security however if you got back later in the evening there wasn't a lot of vacant bays, and we were there when the hotel was relatively quiet - I could imagine parking would be at a premium when it is busy. You do get a fair bit of noise in the morning from the trucks offloading liquor to the bottle shop (reversing beepers/crashing of bottles etc) The laundry and the gym area were really hammered and had obviously see better days - though the gym did have clean towels and fresh water bottles, when I could access it. There is only one washing machine and one clothes dryer - so you need to closely watch when other people's loads finish as otherwise you could be up half the night doing your laundry. In summary don't hold any high expectations about the Gateway Hotel, it is what it describes itself as - a centrally located 3 star hotel.

I only ever have had wonderful experiences staying here. I sleep so well in the massive new king beds, hear absolutely nothing (and I am a light sleeper) staff are professional and thorough and you actually feel welcomed by the staff. The prices are great especially through trip.com and the process to book/ change/ cancel is very easy for a solo traveller like myself.i was fortunate enough to have a very clean bath in my room too and i never use public baths or spas! Shoutout to Kashun, AJ, Sulove, Daniel and the house keeping staff Wendy and Kelly (and the other girls)!

Little bit dated. Booked through Qantas Hotels and somehow was upgraded. ( No requested room available? do not know.) Water shower deluge head is great. Plenty of towels washers etc. The body wash and shampoo bottles are squeeze to actuate, sounds simple doesn't it? Mattress very comfy. Pillow a little firm for me but I did have the choice of 5! You get a kettle and that's it. Fridge opens one way, cupboard door opens opposite way. Not user friendly. Mis mash of cups. No knife or fork. Had to book for a couple of nights the next week but was an extra 50 an night. Thought that was a bit unnecessary for a returning client booking the same room. We had two windy nights and the sliding door widows rattling was enough to keep you awake. Need to be wedged. Location to town. Excellent, walking distance.

Had a recent stay for 3 nights and found it really enjoyable. After a little confusion with parking the car due to street it is located on being a bus thoroughfare, valet parking was prompt and we found we didn't need to get car out again. Great location in the centre of town and easy walking to everything Hobart has to offer. Rooms were very clean, although a little small, bathroom was a generous size although water did flood floor when showering. Did have to order another pillow as ones in room were rock hard. Breakfast was very yummy and buffet option that was offered had more than enough to satisfy. Gym was small with just enough equipment to do a workout. The Chocolate Hour was a bit of a letdown, not what we expected, but still another point of difference. All in all, a really nice stay and we'll certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at the Waterfront for 21 days, using it as a base for our road trip. We had two rooms between three of us, and the budget price couldn’t be beaten for this type of accommodation. The motel is of the old style but has been maintained quite well with bright and comfortable rooms. Room facilities are good, kitchenettes with toaster, microwave, plates and cutlery, plus a communal kitchen to use. The rooms and linen were very clean. We weren’t disturbed by any noise even when the motel was fully occupied(it’s very popular). The location is excellent. There is a bus stop just down the road, the 561 and 562 buses run on the hour and get you into Hobart central in about twenty minutes. A shopping centre with a Coles and other stores is a ten minute drive away. I enjoyed my stay, the staff were so pleasant and obliging. I would thoroughly recommend this motel.

L'hotel dispone di una bella piscina cucina, un giardino e una moneta operata lavanderia. Amore il ristorante cinese nella zona di lobby, serviva alcuni dei piatti cinesi deliziosi cucinati per la perfezione. La stanza è compatta ma ben decorata. La pressione dell'acqua nella stalla della doccia ti darà certamente il rinvigore. Le strutture di parcheggio sono disponibili ma sono a pagamento presso AUD 23 per il parcheggio overnight, leggermente più economico se si opta per il parcheggio di sovraflusso dietro l'hotel. Il pranzo è servito al ristorante cinese, ma non un unico pranzo cinese per colazione, che ironia! A mio parere, almeno il riso fritto o le noodles dovrebbe essere uno dei piatti, poiché ci sono molti asiatici che si trovano in questa proprietà. Se lo fanno, gli darò un'altra STAR. In generale, è un soggiorno fantastico e confortevole!

Ho avuto un buon soggiorno al Hobart Tower Motel. La stanza era pulita, comoda e aveva tutto quello che doveva. Ho soggiornato per 6 notti, e ero molto soddisfatto. Il motel è molto centrale alla città, vicino ai negozi di partenza - mentre ero fuori dalla città. È solo un breve 10 minuti di guida nel cuore di Hobart, ma anche. Il personale è sempre stato utile e amichevole. Mi è piaciuto anche imparare sulla storia della torre e andare dentro. La vista dal top è stata spettacolare (vedi foto allegato). Raccomando questo posto ad altri viaggiatori!

For the best part, it was average. I had really bad trouble with the plumbing in my room - the plug hole gurgled all night, two nights in a row. I DID mention it to perception but was told ”it was probably because we were full, and everyone was probably using hot water at the same time” - no exchange of room or anything. My rubbish bin was left unemptied for 3 days. Also, the noise was really annoying in the foyer area, both mornings, and in the evening - my room was 3 doors from it - constant chat, doors opening and shutting etc - so was basically 3 nights of no sleep for me, Flipside, good location, but the windows in the room were way too high to even get a view, which the wall was facing. Disappointing experience all round.

We stayed herefor four nights on a family holiday consisting of four adults. The only thing that was ok was the showerr and clean towels. As for everything else it is about 30 years out of date .***** lights all over the place, torn furniture and curtains which were not even a pair. I took the toaster out of the cupboard on the first morning and crumbs fell all over the floor, they stayed there for four days the apartment was never cleaned. Also the bar was supposed to be open Monday to Saturday, I went and asked Saturday night if the bar was open and the reply was ”o no we don't open it ”

Sinceramente, l'esperienza più incredibile dell'hotel in Tasmania. Non sognarei mai di rimanere altrove. Il lusso e la qualità della camera e delle strutture sono seconda a nessuno. Il personale hotel più compiuto e benvenuto che abbia incontrato in Tasmania - grazie per avermi fatto sentire speciale. Mia madre e io ci siamo sentiti così benvenuti e sinceramente volevamo prolungare la nostra giornata. Mi piaceva dove si trovava. Una breve passeggiata di 15 minuti al centro della città, ma abbastanza tranquilla per godere della tranquillità della Tasmania. Le belle zone di parco e viste sul fiume lo hanno fatto sentire molto intima e più lontano, che è idealmente quello che volevamo. Molto consigliato. Onestamente! Best Tasmanian hotel!!!

Ho dovuto passare la notte a Launceston, lasciando la mattina dopo, pensando che il Pod Inn si fosse dimostrato perfetto per le mie esigenze, cominciando con un prezzo molto ragionevole. Pod stesso era chiuso, comodo, spazioso per uno e mi piacevano le opzioni di illuminazione. Il rumore non era un problema, anche se forse ero fortunato a quel conto. La cucina era pulita se un po' piccola mentre la sala comune/area da pranzo era più spaziosa. La sala comune era pulita quando ho visitato, ma potevo immaginare che diventasse piuttosto grungo. Tuttavia, le docce erano davvero buone. Asciugamani forniti ma non sapone (o shampoo, ecc.).

La struttura è molto confortevole, semplice, ma datata. Alcuni pavimenti inferiori hanno bagni più vecchi, doccia e bagno preziosi per la riparazione, ma i pavimenti superiori hanno nuovi bagni che sono più bello e più confortevole. Vicino alle attrazioni - Una visita deve essere il sito di Gorge Cataract situato a breve distanza dal Launceston CBD. Parcheggio auto sul sito conveniente.

We have just stayed 4 nights at this hotel. This is an excellent Hotel. From the moment we arrived until our last day check out, we were greeted with excellent happy staff who seemed to enjoy the role they played. The front desk are a great bunch as are the staff in the restaurant. Parking is complementary at the front of the hotel. The rooms are spacious with a Nespresso coffee machine in the room and a TV that is easy to operate. Having a restaurant on site is a big plus for breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended.

Fine two bedrooms apartment. I suppose if you are going to the country club, the location is good. It is about 10 min drive from Launceston. The beds were very nice and comfortable. Bathroom was large and very clean.

I would like to give the reception staff Lisa and Karen 10 out of 10 for wonderful service. I was trying to get a bed for one night and rang the hotel as I'd booked on what I thought was their website - I'd booked the wrong night and couldn't change it. Lisa was the lady I spoke to and she very kindly sorted it for me in such a lovely manner. Then when I arrived Karen was on reception and the welcome was warm and friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Personality plus, what an asset! The room was on the small side but comfortable, spotless and had a fabulous view of the city. It is also within walking distance of two theatres, bars and restaurants. A genuine pleasure to stay here, thank you ladies.

A stay at Country Club Tasmania ticks nearly all the boxes. A quality championship golf course at your back door is a plus and the variety of dining options will delight most. Rooms are good and clean with many of the rooms recently refurbished. A stay at this property offers value for money.

Stayed 2 nights great rooms . Great service. Dined at the in house Restaurant GOODGUY for breakfast full continental buffet done very well with quality choices and dinner was fabulous asian cusine , great menu , great service and such friendly staff MUST DO...😊

A review 8 months ago says the spa wasn’t working. It still isn’t. The place has been seriously neglected. The gym equipment and kids bikes look like they have all been taken from someone’s hard garbage pile. Bikes rusted and flat tyres, gym equipment faulty. Even the basketball and soccer balls are worn/flat. The pool table, the cues are worn and there is no chalk. The sauna isn’t working. The cottage we stayed in had broken window and busted hinges on cupboards, the smoke detector isn’t working. The tree house is covered in grime. The washing machine lint filter was blocked with mouldy lint and I had to clean it. There is a DVD box in the games room with a sign which says to put dvds in here if they aren’t working. The box is full and this gives a good indication of how much time and effort the owners put into maintaining the place. The staff member gives you the wifi access and outright acknowledges how bad it is. It’s 2022, if you are going to provide wifi make it work otherwise it just annoys people. You will see their Facebook page does not allow reviews and seldom has any interaction from any clients. The place has been let go and for near on $300 a night, it is seriously over priced for the almost ghetto like facilities. I would come back if the price was about 1/3rd of what it is because despite the condition of the place, I think my naive children enjoyed it. Like others have said, the view is amazing and the staff member is friendly but that’s about as good as it’s going to get. Most people are happy to part with money for good quality and service. If you are one of these people, you are going to be very disappointed. Very unfortunate as the right business owner could turn this place into something very very special, which it appears it once was.
