La posizione è discreta, non troppo lontana dai centri commerciali. Ci sono 2 ascensori, di cui uno fuori servizio, e quello funzionante ha un sensore della porta difettoso. La camera è piuttosto spaziosa ma non molto ben tenuta. La temperatura della doccia varia continuamente, e chi si siede sul water rischia di essere colpito dalla porta dall'esterno perché non ha un fermaporta. Il telecomando della camera è a malapena visibile. La porta della camera non si chiude bene e bisogna spingerla o tirarla con più forza. La camera ha anche un isolamento acustico piuttosto scarso. Il personale è disponibile e cordiale.

The atmosphere was very relaxing with beautiful views and a quiet environment perfect for escaping from busy routines and spending quality time together. From the moment we arrived, the service was really good. The staff were all very friendly, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. They made us feel welcomed and comfortable all the time. Check-in was smooth, the room was clean and cozy, and everything was well prepared for guests. What we loved most was the overall vibe of the resort. It’s not just about the stay, but the feeling you get there slow mornings, relaxing walks, enjoying the lagoon view, and having peaceful moments together without rushing anything. Wonderful moments celebrating my birthday on the stunning Bintan Island in Indonesia—a true slice of paradise. This beautiful destination is conveniently accessible with a 75-minute ferry ride from Tanah Merah, Singapore 🇸🇬, or a 20-minute trip from the Telaga Punggur ferry terminal in Batam to Tanjung Uban, as well as a 60-minute journey from Tanjung Pinang Island. During our delightful seven-night stay, we truly appreciated the warm hospitality we received. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Bintan, for the unforgettable memories!

Io e il mio amico abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso in questa struttura. L'atmosfera era tranquilla e la nostra camera era pulita e spaziosa. L'hotel si trova a circa 1 ora e 20 minuti dal terminal dei traghetti di Bintan, il che lo rende un po' isolato dalle zone più affollate. I and my partner can find nothing to fault, from the quality of the welcome to the beautiful pool to the plentiful, varied and high quality breakfast buffet. The staff were the highlight of the stay — consistently polite, humble, and attentive, providing excellent service throughout. Unfortunately, the villa itself was quite run down and appeared to lack proper upkeep and maintenance, which was disappointing given my expectations. There is insufficient power plug for phone / tablet charging. The breakfast spread was decent, with a reasonable variety of options to start the day. Overall, while the service was excellent, the condition of the villa fell short of expectations. Would I return? No.

In generale il buffet era soddisfacente. Il personale di servizio puliva le piastre era un po' lento, anche se non c'erano molti ospiti. Le camere erano di base e buone. Il soggiorno complessivo era grande. Si consiglia di rimanere in questo hotel a causa della buona posizione e delle strutture e l'accesso ad altri luoghi all'interno di Batam.

The hotel and its facilities are very nice. Here and there a few spots of improvements needed but otherwise a very attractive hotel with lovely features. A very pleasant stay starts with a dedicated lounge at the ferry terminal which is available upon arrival and departure (taking care of your visa and other requirements). Travel to the actual hotel is within short 20 minutes by hotel shuttle bus. You can chose between colonial style suites at the main building or near by or Thai/ Bali style villas on the large ground and a short walk away from the main building. The Thai villas are very nice, filled with all the necessary amenities and some top of the range products. Plenty of storage space, outdoor veranda seating and well kept exterior make it really nice. At the main section, the pool is with its 50 meter in length a true highlight, together with the very easy and close proximity to the pristine and huge beach section. Although facing north, the beach is actually in a bay and can be explored for hours. Also well worth mentioning is the spa which provides truly amazing treatments administered by very experienced therapists who will truly pamper you from start to finish. Regrettably, there are also a number of shortcomings. Although the hotel provides insect repellant for your daily use, even the best of preventions and best of cleaning/ spraying efforts of the staff will not stop billions of sand flees attacking you on the beach, especially after rain or during the evening hours when you become their dinner. However, the biggest drawback is the food and beverage section. For a hotel operating in such a high price category, the restaurant is a true letdown perhaps even the sole reason for not coming back again. Yes staff everywhere is very friendly, attentive and making it their business to know you by your first name from the start, but the entire food and beverage section requires a lot of improvements to even get close to a star rated service. Yes the drinks are well made (guess can be expected at prices of US$20 plus) but the restaurant service truly lacks what it takes. The food, expensive as it is, lacks any sort of imagination, is void of any special touches, and surely does not represent Indonesian cuisine in any shape or form. As said, staff are very friendly and trying their best however, if they are not taught the basics or led by indifferent managers, then things need to change. Management comes from the top. In summary, if you are looking for a nice place to relax in a colonial style building, not too crowded with a lovely pool, then please try the Sanchaya. However, if you looking for cuisine which is anything but poor, not even ordinary, then you better look elsewhere.
