＞ Beautifully designed - the outward appearance of the hotel is quite spectacular and is very well decorated.
＞ Comfortable rooms - the beds are large and comfortable with plenty of pillows and cushions and the rooms have plenty of places to sit.
＞ Room size - rooms are large and feel spacious.
＞ Cleanliness - The hotel was immaculately clean in all areas.
＞ Staff - Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
＞ Location - the location is ideal for walkability to shops, restaurants and the beach.
Negatives:
＞ Events - The hotel also hosts events which can be very loud and go on late into the night.
＞ Doors/soundproofing - We noticed that there was a significant gap in our door which meant that it wasn't particularly soundproof and we were kept awake most of the night (until 2am) by other guests outside our room.
＞ Location - although I have stated the positives about the location above, the negatives are that the hotel is in close proximity to some bar with live music or karaoke which is incredibly loud and can go on very late into the night. Both the noise from the guests at this hotel and the event down the road was very significant and kept us awake late into the night.
＞ Breakfast - Breakfast is served cold. Although they have the equipment to keep the food warm, for some reason they choose not to. Unless you are lucky enough to catch something as soon as it is placed in the container it will go cold quickly. Eggs, bacon, fried rice, local dishes etc are all cold by the time you get them which is not common for Thai hotels and also very disappointing.
Comments for the hotel:
＞ Doors - please ensure all doors do not have gaps in between. This can be done easily with some rubber lining on the door frame. This would increase the soundproofing of the room dramatically.
＞ Noise - I understand that the hotel cannot control the bar down the street which plays loud music all night but it does have control over its own events and its own guests. There should be strict rules about drunk guests making noise late into the night and knocking on doors. Nowhere in the rules does it state ”quiet hours” which I believe it should. I understand that events at the hotel serve as a large source of the hotel's income, but there's no need to neglect other guests who stay there.
＞ Breakfast - use the equipment you already own properly and keep the breakfast food hot. I do not know any Thai people who enjoy cold food and keeping the food warm would increase the quality of the breakfast dramatically. Despite being a small cafe, the breakfast has quite a variety and the flavour is good but the temperature of the food really ruins the breakfast.

MMJ98Cleanliness - The room was fantastic, spotless in fact, 5/5.
Location - I give this 3/5 because the hotel is located at a beautiful beach. However, the street around the hotel has nothing else on it (not the fault of the hotel obviously). The beach itself is beautiful, I will repeat, but only immediately in front of the hotel. The rest of the beach is very dirty.
Service - This is where this hotel becomes a real disaster, and if I could I would give this section 0/5. We checked in around 11pm to 11:30pm. The staff came to the counter while watching a movie on his phone and left the movie playing full volume whilst looking for our key. After a very long process of checking the computer he led us to a room. He stumbled a lot on his way and appeared drunk. When we got to the room, he looked inside and told us it was already occupied. He told us that our room had been sold to someone else because we were late checking in and led us back to the reception where he walked off somewhere without telling us any more information. We stayed at the reception and used the bathroom facilities in the meantime. I also proceeded to contact trip dot com's customer support to let them know about the issue. After a while had passed he came back and walked past us to the bathroom. After coming out of the bathroom he led us to a new room and told us that this room was now available. The whole thing was bizarre and we were caused to worry unnecessarily by being told that we didn't have a room. I cannot think of any justification for his actions and it started off the stay at this hotel very poorly.
Amenities - The amenities provided by the hotel were adequate. They included a bottle of water in the room. I do like when hotels provide toothbrushes and other smaller things so that would be the difference between me providing a 4/5 and a 5/5 for this part.

This was our fifth stay at Vangduen Hotel, and we already can’t wait to come back! It’s the kind of place that never disappoints. In fact, the only sad part is packing up to leave.
The location is perfect—tucked away on the quiet side of the island, offering so much peace and natural beauty. The clear, calm water and the soft white sand (honestly, it feels like flour!) make it the perfect spot to relax. Even though it’s peaceful, there’s still plenty to do. There’s a great selection of restaurants, a small shop for anything you might need, and a fun fire show in the evenings.
The hotel itself is spotless, well-equipped, and super comfortable. The staff are amazing—so friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. It’s those little things that make each stay so special.
We’d recommend this place 100%. In fact, we’ve already booked our next trip in two weeks! Vangduen Hotel really is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it.

MMarinaL'hotel è situato in una posizione comoda, ma i tuk-tuk non ti ci portano, devi attraversare i cortili dalla fermata dell'autobus, la prima volta pensavamo di non trovarlo, poi ci siamo abituati quando abbiamo imparato la strada. La posizione è comoda, in prima linea ma perpendicolare al mare, quindi le finestre si affacciano sul cortile e sui bagni del ristorante. A quanto pare, durante la bassa stagione, i dipendenti del ristorante si erano abituati a stare seduti lì, a chiacchierare, a giocare con i bambini; durante il giorno era difficile rilassarsi, c'era un rumore continuo fuori dalla finestra. Anche quando chiedevamo loro di stare più silenziosi, dopo un po' si riunivano di nuovo lì e parlavano a voce alta senza sosta, guardavano video, giocavano. Poi si spostarono nella zona antistante la reception, ma parlavano così forte che il rumore impediva loro di riposare. Allo stesso tempo, non troverete nessun dipendente nel ristorante quando dovete ordinare il cibo o pagare: sono tutti lì a rilassarsi e divertirsi. L'hotel ha i suoi lettini prendisole sulla spiaggia, ma il primo giorno il personale del ristorante ha cercato di buttarci fuori e ha insistito perché ordinassimo qualcosa al ristorante, il che, ovviamente, ha rovinato la nostra impressione. È strano che l'hotel abbia un ristorante ma non la colazione; sarebbe più comodo se offrisse la colazione. Alle 9 del mattino, grandi gruppi di turisti cinesi vengono fatti entrare nel ristorante, più o meno come negli altri ristoranti vicini, sulla prima linea. La camera non è male, ma vecchia, il letto è comodo, la TV ha solo canali tailandesi. Il water del bagno perde, il rubinetto perde e apparentemente la stessa cosa sta succedendo al piano di sopra, perché l'acqua gocciola dal soffitto e c'è della muffa sul soffitto, e nel water stesso non c'è ventilazione e c'è un terribile odore di muffa. Non c'è carta igienica, c'è un porta tovaglioli sottile davanti all'ingresso del bagno, il che è molto scomodo. Noi abitavamo al 1° piano, dato che tra noi c'erano persone disabili, c'era un tavolo e due sedie davanti alla stanza, ma sedersi davanti al bagno del ristorante non era per niente piacevole. Anche i dipendenti di questo posto mangiano il loro cibo e a volte gli odori sono molto sgradevoli. L'hotel è per visitatori molto poco esigenti, ma il mare è meraviglioso e la spiaggia è a due passi. Sulla strada principale ci sono molti ristoranti, centri massaggi, due 7-11 e uffici di cambio valuta. Dista un paio di minuti di auto dal traghetto.

UUtente ospiteNel complesso l'hotel è buono, a seconda del prezzo... 10.000 rubli a notte sono molto costosi per questo hotel. È scomodo che tutte le stanze siano una di fronte all'altra, le finestre non si aprono, bisogna nascondersi dietro le tende e sembra subito una grotta... la posizione è ottima. Nel complesso pulito, ma un po' trasandato.

JJao NaayI recently stayed at this hotel and was really impressed! The location is super convenient — just a short walk to a major shopping mall, which made it easy to grab meals, shop, and explore without needing a taxi.
The room was surprisingly spacious, modern, and very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable — I slept like a baby every night. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and everything in the room felt brand new.
One thing that stood out was the staff. They were all friendly, professional, and spoke good English, which made check-in and asking for recommendations a breeze.
If you’re looking for a comfortable, affordable place near the mall, this hotel is a great choice. I’d definitely stay here again

The hotel staff were welcoming, attentive, and quick to assist with anything I needed, making my stay smooth and stress-free. My room was spacious, quiet, and equipped with all the essentials for both rest and work—reliable Wi-Fi, a comfortable desk, and great amenities.
Each morning started with a delicious breakfast, featuring a variety of local and international options that catered to every preference. It was the perfect fuel before diving into a busy schedule.
I highly recommend this hotel for business travelers seeking a productive yet relaxing environment during their stay in Rayong.

AannexanonymousThis was our second stay at this hotel, as our first experience was excellent and encouraged us to return.
However, we were unaware that the hotel had expanded with a new area located approximately 500 meters from the original buildings, making it inconvenient to walk between the two zones. We booked the same hotel but ended up in the wrong building. It would be helpful if the hotel clearly labeled this new area with a distinct name, such as ”New Building,” rather than ”Garden Wing,” which caused some confusion as we previously stayed in the original garden zone.
The hotel is now much larger, and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped with essentials. Unfortunately, cleanliness fell short this time, as we noticed some stains on the blanket and towels. We chose not to raise the issue as we wanted a hassle-free stay.
The location is not ideal for visiting nearby attractions like coffee shops but is conveniently close to a 7-11.
While we appreciate certain aspects of the hotel, we might not return for a third visit and would prefer staying in the ocean zone instead.
