Portogallo: hotel con parcheggio nella provincia di Distretto di Coimbra

A superb historic property under private management and ownership - actually, in the ownership of the same family for over 400 years altho’ now a member of the Small Luxury Hotels marketing system affiliated with Hilton. The property in its adjoining Gardens are a destination in themselves, along with the nearby (400m) Santa Clara monastery. They may be sufficient for some visitors, but it’s about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Coimbra and it’s main historical area. Arthur Wellesley - aka Viscount Wellington - was a visitor during his Iberian campaign, so you’re in good company.  Staff are superb and obviously hand picked by the owner. The receptionist when I arrived (Evening of Sunday 16 February) was simply the best I’ve ever experienced, Singapore, Bangkok and Tokyo included.  Genuinely fascinating to talk to about the history of the building and some of the previous guests (famous but  ‘passed’ celebrities so no confidence is breached).  Best to stay in the rooms in the main building if possible, if tales of the previous occupant intrigue. Although the spa Is impressive – up to best Thai standards - and I guess the adjoining spa rooms may be equally good. Overall, an absolute gem that far exceeded expectations.

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti in appartamento 2.2 - una camera con una piccola ufficio con un desk e un letto singolo. La posizione era grande, essendo direttamente dal pedone principale ***** nella vecchia zona urbana, così molto atmosferico e conveniente per i ristoranti. L'iscrizione è all'Hotel Oslo, a circa 4 minuti a piedi, quindi dovrai camminare con il bagaglio per qualche minuto, tra cui alcune scale. L'appartamento non ha ascensore, quindi è necessario essere in grado di portare il bagaglio alle scale all'interno dell'edificio. Non credo che potreste chiamare un Uber o un taxi per la strada davanti all'edificio, perché è molto stretto, ricordatelo.Alcuni altri punti minori ho notato sull'appartamento che potrebbero essere utili: - È direttamente davanti ad un altro edificio su una strada stretta, quindi l'appartamento non ha davvero la luce solare naturale - C'è un lavatrice, ma nessun asciugamano - ci è voluto un giorno per asciugare i nostri vestiti e il ragno si è seduto nella sala da pranzo - I mobili dell'appartamento stanno iniziando a sentirsi un po' inghiottiti

Easy check-in, room I stayed was spacious with a small balcony. Room facility can be improved (I prefer mug rather than paper cup), but the room has a hairdryer, electric kettle, small fridge so it was comfortable stay overall.

Sono rimasto in una camera unica al ibis Coimbra Centro e ho avuto una piacevole esperienza complessiva. Ero particolarmente felice che l'hotel soddisfasse la mia richiesta di un letto re. La stanza stessa è compatta ma ben arredata, solo la dimensione giusta per un viaggiatore solitario. Un punto che ho notato è che la stanza è rimasta piuttosto calda, anche con il dial di temperatura fissato a 15°C e l'aria condizionata in alto. Non era incomodo, ma è qualcosa di cui essere consapevole. Il bagno era senza spot e mi piacevano i pavimenti in legno e la moderna zona di doccia. Ho scelto di colazione durante la mia permanenza e mi sono sentito piacevolmente sorpreso dalla varietà disponibile. Ci sono state abbastanza opzioni per godermi qualcosa di diverso ogni mattina, e ho sempre lasciato la tavola piena e soddisfatta. Grazie a ibis Coimbra Centro per avermi ospitato!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Coimbra Monumentais.  The location is absolutely perfect being so close to the steps up to the University.  The facilities were fine.  My only suggestion for improvement is to automatically send the check in information rather than asking us to ask for it.  I missed that point in the reservation.  Most of our stays were with Air BnB and they automatically send the information a day or two in advance.  We came to the back door (the 7A address) and had an issue with getting in.  Once in, we were very well looked after.  Thanks so much to Mariannna!

Let’s face it, it’s a box as the name indicates. The location is great, the staff is friendly, everything works fine in the “box” although the lighting would take some time to get used to. The bedding had some holes in it but clean and soft so l let it be. I must have had conscious neighbors for the two nights of my stay as the noise was negligible.

Little hotel by the road side. Parking is free but it’s opposite building. Can park the car in front of hotel to unload luggage first. Staff speaks English and friendly. Room has no free water and fridge. Bed is comfortable n firm enough. The location is close to some attractions. However the room facing road is very noisy even when staff told me is not. Motorcycle n people walking past rounding loudly can be heard even late at night. We had bad night sleep. A room facing inwards would be better!

L'hotel è accogliente e familiare, il reception desk è amichevole e benvenuto, Fatima al reception desk è stato grande. Il buffet è intercontinentale e ha una varietà di opzioni oltre al buon gusto, il pranzo è un menu A LA carte e il cuoco è eccezionale. Non abbiamo usato la piscina all'aperto perché è così fredda, ma il Spa e la piscina all'aperto erano molto buoni ، il Jacuzzi era fuori ordine. In generale, la posizione e i servizi erano piuttosto grandi meritano sicuramente un'altra visita.

The hotel reception was poor, no effort was made to inform us of the hotel’s amenities or location of the amenities. The port wine at the reception was on display but was never offered to us or the other guests. The cleaning staff were very friendly, congratulations. The heating unit was located outside near the window of the room and was surprisingly loud. The worst of all was a male guest using the sauna and steam room while completely *****! Shocking lack of hygiene!!!

Questa è la nostra seconda permanenza all'hotel, ed è stata così favolosa come la prima. La zona di benessere con la sauna, il freddo ‑acqua dip, e la piscina calda all'interno rendeva incredibilmente rilassante. Il buffet di colazione era così buono come ricordo, e in questo viaggio è stata anche la nostra prima cena a Raiz, il ristorante dell'hotel per cena, e l'esperienza è stata meravigliosa. Questo è sicuramente il nostro hotel quando siamo a Lousã!
