Very good hotel with room that is spacious with balcony. Very beautiful view around the hotel that is near the lake. Good services. Nice onsen place. With good nice restaurants within the hotel. Provide free shuttle bus to the nearest shopping area. The only downside it does not have laundary service. The breakfast has a good spread.

Nice hotel with great views of the Lake. Great service from the reception staff who was very helpful with bringing my luggage up to the room. Aircon in room wasn’t that cool as it could get stuffy with 4 people in the room. Little dated hotel but good for staying a night or 2. Parking was free when signed up with their free membership program.

Very good experience at the Mercure Lake Biwa. A high-standard hotel with great views and quality services. Even though there were many group guests, everything was well organized. Thanks to my Accor card, I could enjoy some nice benefits, which was much appreciated. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help.
They are also bike friendly !

初めて利用させて頂きました。
到着時ラブホテルみたいで予約間違えたのかとおもいましたが中に入って見ると普通にビジネスホテル対応で安心しました。
部屋は広くて静かで綺麗😍
女性には優しいグッズ満足、化粧する時の鏡も女優ミラー🪞と凄いハッキリクッキリびっくりしました。
モーニングも部屋まで届けてくれて美味しいしかったです。

Hotel altamente raccomandato. Il personale era molto amichevole e faceva del loro meglio per renderci benvenuti. La stanza era spaziale e l'apertura era magnifica. I pasti erano ben presentati e molto riempiti. Mi sarei certamente tornato se avessi la possibilità.

A great place to stay near the station with friendly helpful staff and a somewhat pretty nice breakfast, considering it is complimentary.
This hotel is close to Hikone Castle and the JR station. The hotel also offers a lot of parking space for free, which being close to the station is amazing!
The room was clean and tidy with a typical Japanese style small bath.
The only thing that upset us, was the lack of Onigiri which had been in the photos when booking. But. Again, the breakfast is complimentary and seasonal as said in the hotel, so no big issue!
Would stay again!

Incredibile, questo hotel ha superato le mie aspettative. Le camere erano pulite e spaziose, ho prenotato un triplo condivisione e ben attrezzate. Molte opzioni alimentari vicino ad un centro commerciale. grande per un soggiorno di notte e il check in dammi erano sorprendenti! Il colazione era anche molto buono considerando un piccolo hotel come loro.

Mi piace guardare l'acqua, quindi sono felice di vedere il lago di Liu Xiang dalla stanza dell'hotel.Guardando il lago di Liu Xiang e mangiando colazione, è un ricordo molto bello.Le strutture sono molto pulite e belle decorazioni impressionanti.Questa volta voglio vivere con amici!

UUtente anonimoIt was a great stay at this ryokan! The hotel is able to arrange a car to fetch you from the JR station. You can call them using a dedicated phone at the station which is used to contact the different ryokans. The car arrived in 10mins or so. The ride to the ryokan was also less than 10mins. The hotel also fetched us to the station on the last day of our stay.
The ryokan itself is homely and cozy. We were greeted by an english speaking staff who introduced us to the amenities of the ryokan. There was also a nice welcome tea and matcha chocolate. Our bags were brought to our room as well during this time.
The room is spacious and cozy. The hotel prepared 2 welcome biscuits in the room which was a nice personal touch. The room has a nice living room and a great view of Lake Biwa. Recommend to catch the sunrise over the lake! There are 2 normal beds as well as futon beds (need to set up yourself). Both are comfortable. The hotel also prepared pretty yukata for both female and male guests which you can wear during the stay. There are 4 different designs for ladies, and one design for the guys. You can request for different size if the one in the room doesn’t fit you. There is also a full length mirror and a mini dressing area at the side of the living room. It was fun dressing up in the yukata!
The toilet, basin, shower and hot tub areas are all separate. The toilet is a little small, but the basin and mirror area is very spacious. The shower area is quite small as well and the shower head is rather low so you need to hold the shower head if you wish to wash up while standing. There is a small stool given for you to sit down though. The hot tub area is semi-outdoor and you can see Lake Biwa. But it is quite small (only good for one person). It was too cold so we didn’t use the hot tub.
Instead, we booked the private onsen for 50mins. The private onsen has a private toilet and dressing area which is equipped with hairdryer, body lotion etc. There is a water dispenser as well if you need to hydrate yourself. The onsen area has a washing area, and the hot tub area is spacious for 2 person. There are privacy screens around the onsen area but there is a small gap to let in cold air for ventilation. Wish there is a good view from the private onsen but it was still enjoyable!
Dinner and breakfast was Kaiseki style, and the meals were one of the highlights for my husband and I. We really enjoyed the courses which are clean tasting yet wholesome, fresh and flavourful. It was such a sumptuous treat!
The ryokan also has a souvenir shop if you wish to buy anything back.
Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed the stay here and we agreed this was one of the main highlights of our 12 days trip in Japan. Highly recommend!

RRoger MichaelOk. First of all leave your expectations at home expecting hotel level service. Once you've done that if you want a cheap but clean place to stay this is it. This is a seinenkan - a facility for youth and youth-related organizations to conduct independent study and recreational activities, many of which have basic accommodation facilities but higher grade facilities than youth hostels. They are located all over Japan. I stayed in a tatami mat room on a floor with shared toilet facilities. The ground floor has a large communal bath - obviously separate for male and females. They have lights out at 11 p.m. and guests must return by the same time. There is a very modern cafe onsite serving cheap breakfasts (see photos) but the cafe closes by 6 p.m. There is a convenience store 10 minutes walk away so I suggest you buy snacks and beverages en route from JR Ishiyama station. For dinner, there is a family restaurant - good value and okay food - about 6 minutes walk away.
The seinenkan is located on a small island by a historic bridge. The views of the river inlet flowing into the main Lake Biwa is relaxing, lots of bird wildlife, and lots of rowers (the seinenkan is a water sports facility too). and the sunrise and sunset views are lovely.
The staff are very kind. It cost me ¥5,500 for one night and I will stay there again if I have the opportunity.

JJiexixiaoka1月從比叡山看到琵琶湖，就開始找目的地，從彥根城到大津找了一圈，選了大津的雄琴温泉，酒店從おごと温泉駅不方便步行抵達，但是出站口有一個免費手機可以聯繫酒店五分鐘後酒店車接，很方便。
酒店外部是丘陵地形，走路去琵琶湖邊上需要15分鐘左右，在房間可以看到湖。夜景漂亮極了。酒店周圍沒有大面積的櫻花景色。
酒店內部是美麗的和式風情，小さい細節はか素晴らしいです
設施：一階て二階要乘坐扶梯，3&6層有吸煙點，除了蒼天餐廳還有其他餐廳，一樓大廳有一個大商店和咖啡廳，大浴場はままです
在蒼天連着吃了四天4頓晚飯4頓早飯，每一餐有細微的變化，都是非常健康新鮮的食材，但是下一次我會衹訂兩天宿泊、二天宿不含餐，因為就餐時間要提前確認，遲到早退會影響其他客人，影響了其他行程安排，為了吃飯夜間大津博物館沒去成。
房間贊極了，和式兩間房，兩個電視，露天風呂はジャグジーある、広い。保潔和鋪床完全無接觸，早飯時填好表格，人出去玩的時打掃，晚飯時間有人鋪床，非常非常舒適。如果想體驗千與千尋裏面油屋的風呂、建議步行去湖邊的あがりやんせ、裏面吃喝玩樂理髮按摩，還有免費劇場，圖書館，按摩椅，1600円一人可以玩一天。

TthewandercuratorAfter a crowded Kyoto, I love the peaceful and tranquil environment of this beautiful onsen hotel-ryokan and charming castle town. Everything about the hotel speaks of relaxation and well-being. It's only a 7-8min walk away from Hikone Train Station but there is a hotel shuttle that leaves at 9, 10 and 11 am if you need a drop off. Pick up could probably be arranged too. The hotel offers a pretty outdoor terrace with Castle view, an on-site spa with massage, a library lounge with free drinks till 10pm, a foot reflex corner and a compact onsen with a silk bath (all with Castle view) and hot stone benches. I had the whole onsen to myself in the evening, so it was very relaxing. The staff are kind and lovely too, making an effort to explain all the services and amenities in English. The buffet breakfast was also one of the better ones I've seen in my trips to Japan. If you're visiting the Castle, the entrance road is right outside the hotel. The main castle road is about 5-10 min away but you will pass by a famous Japanese confectionery, Taneya and Club Harie. Their souvenirs are one that even the Japanese cherish. I would wish to come here again with my partner one day. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

EElle2024Grazioso hotel in stile resort vicino a Biwako. Ottimo se si viaggia in auto per esplorare la zona, in quanto si trova in una posizione piuttosto centrale, vicino a molti luoghi di interesse. La camera in stile giapponese è spaziosa e avevamo una vista sul lago.

TTimentoDiverRecentemente sono rimasto all'AB Hotel Hikone e ho avuto un'esperienza eccezionale. La posizione si trova a 5 stelle, a 5-9 Daitocho, Hikone, Shiga, che offre facile accesso alle attrazioni chiave. La pulizia dell'hotel è lodevole, guadagnando un altro rating 5-star. Il personale era amichevole e accogliente, anche se un po 'più alto per l'amichevole sarebbe migliore l'esperienza complessiva. Il prezzo è eccellente, con strutture di alto livello che meritano un completo 5 stelle. In generale, AB Hotel Hikone offre un fantastico soggiorno con la sua posizione migliore, la pulizia, il valore per i soldi e le strutture eccellenti.
