Brilliant hotel for business trips, with clean rooms, wonderfully comfortable beds and great showers. The staff are super polite and welcoming. The hotel carpark is small with space for around 20 cars but there is use of the municiple car park next to it. It is within a 10-12 minute walk to supermarkets, restuarants and takeaways. Overall a great stay.

L'appartamento è stato bello e confortevole. La posizione era buona e conveniente. Ci sono stati supermercati, caffè e centro di casa vicino. Witihin 15 minuti a piedi può raggiungere il centro della città, la cattedrale e molti punti di vista e ristoranti. Il personale ha risposto molto rapidamente.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Undersold on its website. Original Tudor hall with many original features which compare favourably to any that you might see in a National Trust property - especially the two incredible fireplaces. Great views towards central London from the terrace at the back. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was large, well furnished, and quiet (as I think would be all the hotel as in large grounds). Shame that pond was drained. Annex at the back where the bedrooms are not very sympathetic design to the rest of the stunning hotel, and the gym could be better furnished. I think that Laura Ashley was involved in the interior design. Some reviews say that it is a bit down at it heels, but I didn't think so - more of a lived in air which made me feel more at ease. Looks of quirky design features which work well in a sort of 1960s New Avengers way, but I didn't like the fake wood pattern wallpaper in the bar as it cheapens the glorious fireplace next to it. My daughter loved sitting in one of the James Bond super villain blue chairs in the bar - she moaned that she didn't have our cat with her to complete the effect. We booked this for not much more than the local Premier Inn that I normally stay at - but this is in completely a different league. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful hotel.

We (family of 5) stayed in the family room as we had an early flight from Stansted in the morning. We emailed Julie with our arrival time and she had everything prepared for us including an additional camping bed in the room. We were greeted warmly and showed around our and the breakfast room. Julie even went as far to place boy/girl napkins on the table for us which was very sweet. The room itself was lovely - large enough for 5 of us and our luggage. Beds were comfy and we had good hot water and biscuits/hot drinks. The location is perfect for Stansted, it took us less than ten minutes to get to the Mid Stay car park but note that if you're in the Long Stay it's a longer journey. Another advantage is that they will let you park your car on-site for a small fee, and you can then taxi to and from the airport which is only a few minutes (we will definitely do this next time as it's considerably cheaper than the airport car parks). Breakfast was amazing - since we left early we weren't that hungry but they had a huge variety of cereals, bread/crumpets, yoghurts, drinks, cereal bars, cheese, fruit ... the list goes on. Price was also very affordable especially for larger families as we could book a single room vs. having to book two (most places are max. occupancy of four). Many thanks and hope to see you soon!

Allen lavora alla reception e soggiorno in questo hotel da 13 notti. Ogni volta che ho bisogno di cambiare la mia tessera magnetica perché non funziona o perché il personale delle pulizie non mi ha dato gli asciugamani, lo fanno controvoglia. Ho dovuto cambiare la tessera quasi ogni notte, ma quando ha toccato accidentalmente il mio telefono, si è disattivata. Non capisco perché il loro sistema sia così scadente. Il dormitorio di mia figlia usa queste tessere e le associa al telefono, ma non ha problemi. Un grande gruppo alberghiero come questo non può nemmeno utilizzare un sistema di blocco elettronico aggiornato.

Avete davvero goduto il nostro soggiorno. Hotel in buona posizione appena fuori strada. Facile raggiungimento di Londra. Molti posti per ottenere cibo sul sito se non volete fare più avventura. Il personale è stato il più amichevole incontriamo in un lungo periodo e vi ha fatto sentire davvero benvenuti. Le camere e le bagni potrebbero fare con un aggiornamento ma pulito e tempestivo

Tutto era bello, ma il personale non era molto amichevole e non ci è stato informato del deposito di 200 sterline che dovevamo mettere in cassa o che saremmo stati chiusi fuori dalla nostra stanza alle 11:00 Sarebbe sicuramente rimasto, ma sarebbe stato bello avere un po'di più informazioni e servizio clienti

Il prezzo è davvero molto basso, vicino all'aeroporto, personale cordiale, ma ho lasciato un pigiama in bagno il giorno della partenza, ho chiamato l'hotel più volte, ma nessuno ha risposto al telefono, quindi ho inviato immediatamente un'e-mail all'hotel chiedendo di tenere il pigiama per conto dell'hotel dopo una settimana. Una settimana dopo il viaggio è terminato e sono tornato nel Regno Unito. Ho scritto una lettera e poi ho chiamato l'hotel e mi hanno detto di non aver trovato il pigiama rimanente. Il servizio è relativamente scadente da questo punto di vista.

Perfect for a one night stay prior to early morning flight from Stansted. Room was clean and beds comfortable. The food and drinks available were very reasonably priced especially as the only alternatives are fast food chains ( the location is within a services area) . Given the location the room was surprisingly quiet. The staff were delightful and one young man was kind enough to show us the route to the bus stop nearby, from where there are frequent buses to the airport. The biggest plus though was parking £5 for the first night and free for the remainder of our trip (5 days) yippee 😊

I really loved the garden at this hotel. It was beautiful, peaceful, and felt very natural and relaxing. The room was okay, although there was a slight musty smell, and there was no refrigerator in the room. The hotel is very close to the Harry Potter Studio, and it is within walking distance from the hotel, which was very convenient. The reception staff and restaurant staff were lovely and friendly. However, the late-night bar staff did not seem very welcoming, even though the bar still had another 30 minutes before closing. They also did not inform us from the beginning that cocktails and coffee were no longer available to order, which would have saved me time looking through those sections of the menu. In the end, I decided not to order anything. Overall, I liked the hotel much more than I disliked it, and I had a pleasant stay.
