Rimasi in una doppia camera di doppia dimensione re. Molto pulito e moderno con bagno lussuoso. Il cibo era molto buono con una scelta ragionevole. È stato organizzato per colazione nel letto alla mattina finale e è arrivato in tempo e molto ben presentato. La piscina e il bagno erano eccellenti e il divertimento serale (cantatore) era molto buono in entrambe le notti che abbiamo soggiornato.

Il 2° soggiorno al Portale. Le camere sono grandi, il campionato golf molto buono (anche nel terreno bagnato/mudo). Il personale è grande e ha un super colazione nel ristorante al mattino che è pieno di luce e buone viste.

Arrived at reception to a 30min wait due lots of people trying to book in and only two receptionists at the desk and one of these was dealing with problems. Which spoilt the start to our break. Once we arrived in our room which was above the restaurant we found the room 4133 outdated with veneer on the wardrobe peeling off. This is not what we would have expected from the reviews we had read. reference the leisure complex swimming pool. which was clean but we found no instructions on how to operate the lockers and had to wait until someone came in. The breakfast and bar area are excellent. generally Very disappointed.

Great place to rest and relax. Nice big room, superb breakfast, lovely spa.

Le camere sono molto leggere e pulite e letti robust. Nel sito ufficiale degli hotel, si dice che le camere sono climatizzate, ma questo non è vero. Quando abbiamo chiesto al ragazzo di ricevere, ha cercato di convincermi che l’ho letto male e ha cercato di farmi sembrare stupido, ma chiaramente dice che le camere hanno un aircondition, ma solo la ricezione/lobby ha un aircondition. La stanza era molto confortevole, poteva fare con un po'di biancheria, come guardare direttamente negli uffici lungo la strada, a meno che non chiudessi le tende.

Personale amichevole. Cibo eccellente, cucinato per ordinare. Solo un po '****** è un po' più attento alla custodia, il pacchetto di tappeti da doccia vuoto e le aree in bagno erano principalmente pozzi, altrimenti sarebbe stato perfetto.

L'hotel è in un campo da golf, l'ambiente è di prima classe, lo stile di decorazione è molto moderno, il servizio è molto buono!

Il check-in è stato molto facile e senza problemi con tre membri del personale che hanno controllato gli ospiti. Arriviamo ben prima del check-in alle 15:00, ma non c'era nessun check-in precoce nelle camere, quindi dovremmo tornare più tardi per controllare. La camera è stata adatta con letti confortevoli e cuscini di qualità che garantiscono un buon riposo. L'hotel è molto pulito e ben attrezzato, solo in basso è la posizione che non si trova a piedi dal centro della città, ma questo non è un interruttore di affari perché il parcheggio in questo hotel è molto più facile nelle periferie del centro della città.

The location of this hotel is great, very close to Chester and all the attractions around. In terms of the room, our room was very spacious and the bed was very big. However it was two singles joined together, so a gap between the two. This is probably where the good bits end. The size of the room and bathroom really was a positive though, especially travelling with a baby. We had to pay £5 to hire a travel cot and in the end we didn’t use it. The cot mattress appears to have never been replace and was very thin and lumpy, making it redundant. The wooden slates at the bottom of the crib could be felt very dominantly through what was left of the mattress, meaning our baby was waking up uncomfortable and we had to transfer him to the bed. In terms of things that could do with improvement: Cleanliness The room floor was very dirty and could have benefited from an additional vacuum. Initially I put this down to arriving on New Year’s Day and then having a lot of people check out that day, but the whole hotel appeared a little bit grubby on closer inspection. The spa pool was exceptionally dirty. The floor coming out of the changing room covered in hair and general dirt. The showers looked like they hadn’t had a good scrub in months, with yellow build up all over the floor and walls. Not what you expect from a spa! To top it off after swimming I have contracted the Norovirus. Service Our first encounter with the reception staff was great the lady very welcoming and friendly. We met the cleaner as well who was also lovely. The rest of the staff we encountered were not so great. Either rude or disinterested, I get that it might not be your dream job but service with a smile goes a long way. Facilities The hot water takes a while to come through at busier times, this is signposted in the room. However, the water does not get very water at all. It does come through at a pleasant temperature, but not great if you like a bath or shower on the warmer side. There are three times a day when you can go swimming with children. It would be great if these times were restricted to children/families only, as there were quite a few adults sitting around the poolside and in the hot tub. Breakfast was ok, but a lot of the time left uncovered. Overall not a great stay and would be unlikely to stay again.
