Peaky Riders Self Check-in Hotel

The reception was supposed to close at 10:00 pm. I called the hotel that I am running late and the lady kindly waited for me. The room was tiny but clean and cosy. We didn’t have neighbors on the floor, so having the shared bathroom wasn’t a problem. It is value for money

The experience is good, the room is clean and new. There is a coffee machine, which is free of charge for the people living. Hot water also provided 24/7. The location is a bit far comparing with the other hotel, and it is close to the river, it is a bit noise in the summer time as the heavy flow of the river. But I will still recommend it to my friend if they want a budget choice in Zermatt.

Very amazed by the level of automation in the hotel! Check-in was seamless even though it was just an iPad. We needed to pay a tourist tax via an online link prior to arrival but we were abit wary given the number of online scams nowadays - perhaps it’ll be better to charge everything up front? There was free coffee available as well, which was a huge plus. The room was amazing, spotlessly clean, sufficiently big, had a balcony, comfortable bed. One of the staff (a guy) allowed us to put our luggage in the room early even though we could only encode our card after 3pm. He even helped us make a reservation at Du Pont as we didn’t have a Swiss number, thanks very much! The hotel is a 10min walk from the main train station, though there are free buses which can shorten the journey. We just walked as it was faster. We were in Swiss for 2 weeks and this hotel is definitely the best accommodation we had - for a very good price as well!

Brilliantly designed hotel - exactly what we required - I didn’t give it 5 stars simply down to the noise of the building works next door which will only be temporary and our room needed another half a metre in length as double bed was no space at bottom of bed to wall 10 minute walk from train station but easy to find

A great hotel for our time in Zermatt. From the simple to use self check in; our room was spotless, comfortable and with a great little balcony; plus the boot room had dedicated room secure lockers with boot heaters. The location - walkable distance (10mins to the train station/town centre) or there is the bus that you can hop on and off at not far from the hotel. Whilst this is a digital hotel, if you do come across any of the hotel team they are so pleasant and could not have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend to stay here!

We had a wonderful stay at the Peaky Riders hotel! Our double room was clean and cosy and we slept very well as the bed was so comfy. The location was really convenient, as the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station and there was a bus stop just outside the hotel with a bus that took us directly to the ski lift. Camille was also very helpful and gave us great recommendations for things to do in Zermatt. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others!

I just stayed here for 4 nights and highly recommend! It’s the perfect place for a solo traveler or a couple to stay for a skiing focused vacation. The hotel doesn’t have many amenities, but that’s kind of the point - the price is excellent and it has exactly what you need for skiing. I appreciated the ski locker with built in boot heaters, what a great idea! The location is pretty good, slightly outside of the center but everything is walkable within about 10 mins and there’s a free bus to take you to the slopes in the morning. The only thing I wished for as a solo traveler was some sort of common room to meet some of the other guests / have a beer, but all in all I loved my time and would definitely come back.
