Il Matterhornlodge si trova a circa 5-10 min a piedi dalla stazione Zermatt. Siamo arrivati alle 1:00 e siamo stati informati che il check-in era solo alle 2:00, quindi siamo andati a pranzo e siamo tornati alle 2.30pm. Ci siamo salutati da Ruth, la proprietaria dell'hotel, che ci ha fornito un'ampia informazione sulle regole e sulle politiche della casa. Ruth era molto calda, amichevole e affascinante; era molto inclinata a visitare e era felice di scoprire di più dove siamo venuti e di cosa avevamo intenzione di fare. Ruth ci ha anche dato delle raccomandazioni per Bern quando le abbiamo detto che andavamo lì lì prossimo. Anche se l'hotel è stato dichiarato di essere 4 stelle, siamo stati molto impressionati dalla stanza e dalle strutture. Il bagno è stato dotato di un bidet e le toilette fornite erano di buona qualità. La stanza era anche molto spaziosa con abbastanza spazio per aprire 2 bagagli. Le tute e i vestiti erano spesso, caldi e fluffosi. Il colazione fornito al mattino era anche molto buono con una selezione decente di pane, tagli freddi, formaggio e uova. Al checkout, Ruth ci ha anche dato un viaggio complimentare alla stazione ferroviaria nel suo veicolo elettrico. In generale, abbiamo avuto un piacevole soggiorno al Matterhornlodge e siamo stati molto impressionati dall’ospitalità di Ruth.

Il personale è davvero molto buono. La chiave è che la piscina è anche molto vicina alla stazione. Anche la piscina è super buona. La vista è sgombra. La piscina senza frontiere è anche molto deliziosa per la colazione. C'è un topo in zolfo! E'che i piccoli bus di Salmat devono chiedere chiaramente. O mangio il cibo, non so se sono stato preso 12 Rachel 😂 e ho preso una lezione

What a wonderful place to stay! It’s my honeymoon trip and it’s the last stop in Switzerland, and when the hotel noticed that it’s our honeymoon trip and it temporarily prepared the special room for us! It’s an amazing experience over there! Thank you a lot!

Perfect south facing location overlooking the town of Zermatt with unparalleled views of the Matterhorn. In the winter you have sunshine on the balconies up to 4 pm. For views and sunshine this definitely the best area of Zermatt. It’s only a few meters away from the official Zermatt viewpoint, which should tell you all you need to know. The service has been great and all the staff are super attentive all the way. Breakfast with local delicacies is great as well as the sauna and steam bath facilities. The taxi pick up service to the hotel from the train station makes for a very smooth arrival. The same applies when you are leaving. Zermatt is car free so you have to walk a few mins into town to go to a restaurant or visit shops but we actually enjoyed those little walks. In the winter you can ski in but you have to know exactly where to leave the piste. Once you know it it’s easy. All of the premises feel well put together and solid, good materials. We can really recommend this place!

We stayed from Dec 27 - Jan 2. We had a family group of 21 people and 5 rooms that accommodated anywhere from 2 to 6 people. The location, the facilities and the host were all outstanding. We walked each morning to the gondola / cable car station, which is only 5 minutes walk. After great days of skiing, the rooms were perfect for relaxing and cooking dinner on the nights we ate in. Two nights we used the common dining area near the front desk for dinner and it seated all 21 of us very comfortably. The ski room on the ground floor is easy to use and we LOVE the boot warmers :-). Johanas, the host, has perfect english and he was super accommodating and helpful. We had no significant problems, and Johanas addressed any small concerns quickly and thoroughly. He also gave great local advice. In addition to this big family trip, my wife and I stayed at Paradies for a long weekend last fall and that trip was equally wonderful. We had a view of the Matterhorn and a patio that allowed us to sit outside at the end of a day hiking and enjoy a relaxing and romantic time together. We will for sure be back to stay at Paradies for future trips to Zermatt!

Having visited Zermatt many times I've always wanted to stay at the Zermatterhof and did for 4 days recently, it's fair to say I was very impressed. I was collected by taxi at the station and given a warm welcome and tour by one of the exceptional reception staff once I got to the hotel. Despite only booking a single room I was given a lovely room (404) on a rear corner of the hotel with views of the town and the Sunnegga mountain. The room was fairly small but airy due to 2 windows and a pair of French doors and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was very small but perfectly adequate. It was kept immaculately clean and I was surprised to find some bedding changed daily and other items changed every 2 days. The maid was friendly and ensured that everything like coffee pods were plentiful. I was welcomed at breakfast each day by the manager who was charming and made me feel like a regular despite it being my first visit. There was a great choice of food available both hot and cold meaning I rarely ate lunch. The piano player delighted us with a wide variety from Bach to contemporary pop. High winds meant my skiing was curtailed but the spa was a blessing and never busy despite what I read from a previous visitor. The Lussi restaurant was ok but the menu wasn't as exciting or extensive as I would have liked. It was a lovely experience with absolutely amazing staff who exceeded by expectation on each occasion. I hope to return very soon.
