Hotel a 4 stelle popolari a York

Questo è un hotel comune, ma è economico, pulito, il personale è molto amichevole. Sono molto grato per il loro sostegno fino a mezzanotte.La difficoltà è camminare circa trenta minuti dalla stazione, quindi è difficile gestire oggetti preziosi, e non c'è colazione.

L'esperienza complessiva è molto buona.La posizione è buona, camminare fra quindici minuti dalla stazione e dieci minuti dal centro della città.Il paesaggio è il panorama del fiume, anche buono.Poi le strutture della stanza non sono vecchie e non sono nuove, un tour ordinario è assolutamente abbastanza utile.

La gestione non è soddisfatta, anche se gli abbiamo mostrato il pagamento dell'hotel che abbiamo pagato Trip.com online, ci hanno ancora detto che dovevamo pagare un saldo di un giorno completo fuori dal nostro soggiorno di 2 giorni. Abbiamo anche pagato un canone per 2 ore di check-in tardivo, buffet per colazione e tasse di parcheggio separatamente, il buffet è assolutamente fuori dalla nostra immaginazione. Ma in generale, l'hotel è nuovo e pulito, la posizione è molto conveniente.

Great reception staff. The room was advertised as a ‘cosy double’ but it was a huge bed, huge room and small bathroom. The breakfast had an excellent selection which you could help yourself to. The one downside was that the walls were quite thin so you could hear people in the next room or talking while passing along the corridor.

Room not too big but covered most things I need. Nice and clean. Young people vibe. Bar and activities area on the ground. A short walk to everything downtown.

The staff are nice and friendly. There is car park at the back of the hotel. It was a nice and convenient location. We stay on the ground floor, only a few steps up, from the reception. It was very great, we don’t need prepare the sofa bed, they had done before our arrival. Only the cleanliness is a bit not up to standard. There is nail polish left on the desk and plastic clip on the floor. It is nice to provide tooth brushes and razors. However, no slippers can be provided, which is the only thing we had forgotten. The body and hand wash are locked, it was empty in the shower, we needed to call for refill. If we can move the one from the basin, then we don’t need to bother the staff. The worst is no sound proof at all. You can hear someone outside in the corridor and even next door. We can hear next door’s conversation clearly.

Lovely hotel . Cannot really say anything negative about about it . I ve stayed in many many hotels over the years with work so I am very welltravelled . The staff are very helpful and friendly . Location is great . Very nice buffet and a La carte breakfast . We had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon this morning and it was cooked to perfection . Parking is £15 a night . I was a little worried about finding a car parking space due to some of the reviews I had read . The area is very small so I am not sure how it will work if the hotel is very busy albeit we did not have a problem. Check in was very smooth and quick without any issues . I will definitely return and would recommend . We stayed for 2 nights .

I wasn’t sure whether to start with the positives or negatives …… on the plus side this place has an amazing history , and its location is brill - it’s set back up a teeny little alley way , that if you blink you might well miss. It’s quiet - even though located centrally it is exceptionally quiet due to its location. Staff are friendly , nothing is too much trouble and even though there are several rooms you do feel as if you have the place to yourself. The rooms are lovely - individual and quirky - very clean. However I feel the rooms do need more attention , hence the few negatives I have. The photos online imply the place is luxurious - they are very good pics. Please note there is nothing wrong with the rooms as such , they are adequate. However high end they are not. We had a mirror that had a strap as a feature - the tack had come out of the wall so the strap simply hung. A two minute fix - that hadn’t been attended to. The four poster bed had a stave missing at the top. The fridge was not the best - it did not keep items cold ( I should have mentioned this on leaving and forgot - perhaps this can be remedied for future guests ) Also the rooms were sparsely decorated - no soft furnishings, no pictures on the walls …… lovely original fireplace that could have benefitted from some dressing up maybe ….. I don’t know I’m not a designer it all just felt a bit bare. The bathroom however was superb , the bathroom itself did feel high end , it’s a pity the room itself did not match up. On a practical level - parking wise I would recommend dropping luggage off as it is quite a trek to the recommended car park at Mary Gate particularly with cases. In all I would recommend a stay here - the negatives I have are superficial , and nothing that could not be addressed with very little effort.

The hotel exceeded our expectation for under door voyeurism. I could watch my girlfriend get changed by looking under the hotel room door, from the public hallway. The curtains were mouldy, and wet. Room was large. Bed was comfortable. Was told that the hotel management would look after us on our next visit but I don’t know why we weren’t looked after in the first place. Why would we come again? 🤷🏽♂️
