Top top notch place !! A little bit of heaven on earth. From meeting Saduni on reception (lovely girl, couldn’t do enough to help you) through to Ishan who helped guide our village visit, and helped us at meal times (so friendly and helpful), to chaminda (resident and truly wonderful naturist) every single member of the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful visit. The glamping tents were SO comfortable- superbly comfortable bed, AC, loo, brilliant shower - everything and more that you could wish for - all the sounds of the outdoors, but in cosy luxury indoors!! The food was amazing - 7 courses and totally delicious. Lovely pool area, right close to lake, birds xx everywhere and land monitor lizards all around! We went on a couple of guided bird walks around the camp which we loved, and also went to Yala and were lucky enough to see a leopard close up, relaxed and personal!! What a thrill!! Great Spa on Stilts, too…. Cool and wonderfully tranquil and relaxing . If you get a chance to go to this camp - definitely go!!

The level of service at Flameback Eco Lodge was exceptional. The staff were highly attentive and always ready to assist. I can't speak highly enough of them all. The accommodation was superb and offered privacy from other guests. A truly relaxing stay.

Unfortunately we are only able to stay for one night but the resort is outstanding, tents are comfortable and luxurious, staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive service was faultless. We go on safari tomorrow morning 5am hopefully we will enjoy the trip then onto next resort. We felt very relaxed at Flameback resort and look forward to returning.

Lovely location with beautiful views of the lake. Peaceful stay with a great nights sleep. The tent was spacious and well equipped. Food and staff lovely and were very helpful. USB charging only thing missing from the setup. Would love to return for bird watching excursion.

A wonderful and peacefull place for nature lovers.The tents are very confortable and nice,everything is inside.The staff is very kind and attentive,and the food is excellent. We could drink good cocktails in a quiet atmosphere. Really a place to discover

A wonderful place to stay. Beautiful tents. Super friendly staff. Just amazing! I definetly recommend this Hotel. Go there it is a paradise on earth. The tents are very stylish and cozy. The staff organizes safari which are really nice. Calm and peaceful for everybody who wants to relax.

Highly recommend this Eco lodge Beautiful tented lodges with every home comfort impeccably furnished and cleaned Fabulous staff who were not only professional but keen to please and warm. Experts in nature combined with lovely catering and service. Chef liked to dabble so expect some creative presentation as well as flavours! Enjoyed our bird walk / spotting even in the rain and a fun Jeep safari. Chammi the nature guide is also a good photographer so I could concentrate on looking 👀 rather than trying to take photos.

The tents can only be locked with a padlock. It is not safe to leave any valuables in the room. While we were on safari, unauthorised persons broke into the room and turned over our suitcases and clothes. I do not recommend booking accommodation here!

We stayed overnight at the Flameback ecolodge and had a fabulous stay. We loved the luxury safari tent with en-suite facilities, the view over the lake watching the birds was delightful, the swimming pool was wonderfully warm. The staff were very attentive and the food delicious.

Wonderful experience at Flameback, beautiful peaceful surroundings and outstanding attentive service and welcome from the team. We booked for 5 days and enjoyed having a base to explore the amazing wilderness and wildlife. Highly recommended.

We stayed here when on a visit to Yala Safari for one night. The lodge was beautiful and the service excellent however, beware of the midges as is it around a large lake and there are No mosquito nets around the bed or around the open air restaurant.

We arrived after the safari and were welcomed by the friendly staff. The accommodation was wonderful and had a great dinner. The tent had airconditioning, which was really needed due to the humid weather. All facilities (shower / toilet) were very clean. We were woken up by the birds… They recommended to get up early to watch the sunrise and join the complementary bird watching tour. What a great recommendation and magical way to start your day. The breakfast that came after was a perfect closing of our visit.

Perfect location, superb food, excellent staff - what else can you ask? The tents are super well equipped, located in front of the lake and close to Yala National Park. The running manager even surprised us with a cake for our honeymoon at dinner, they’re really kind and looking after a perfect customer service. Based on our experience, they achieved it: one of the best hotels we stayed at Sri Lanka (taking into consideration that we stayed overall in different luxury hotels around the island, incl. Jetwing, Amaya, etc).

What a special place this is. From the moment we arrived we knew we had made a good decision staying here. It feels so different from the chain resorts just down the road. Incredibly relaxed, attentive and friendly staff, amazing location right in the middle of the wildlife. We had two lodges as we were a family of 4 and they were well appointed. The food was excellent and there were a number of things the resort offered for free, like a foot massage, complementary cocktail, morning bird watching estate tour etc. We would happily have stayed longer but please remember you are in the natural habit of the monkeys, water buffalo, numerous beautiful birds. This is their home and it’s a privilege to share it with them, if you don’t like wildlife then look elsewhere.
