Klassik Hotel am Tor

The location is fantastic and the staff is the best! Michaela and Heidi were so gracious and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. All of the staff was friendly but the front desk really set the tone for our visit, so helpful and nice! The parking garage is just down the street and you really only need to park the car and enjoy downtown Weiden. Full of restaurants, shops, bakeries etc. I enjoyed this stay tremendously and we will be back!!

Cozy, tidy, and located in the old gate house in the 14th century city walls, the Klassik is both quaint and comfortable and located close to the best restaurants and cafes. The rooms are smallish, but arrow-slit windows and half-timber walls make them work!

Just spent the weekend there and it exceeded all our expectations. Best location literally at the entrance of the old town with all the restaurants and shops at your door step. At check-in we were offered a package that included breakfast and parking for an extra 20 €. Parking is about 100 meters from the hotel. Flossenbürg which was the reason for our stay is at a 15 minute drive. Room was super clean, with all the amenities expected except for a coffee/tea station. We missed having hot herb teas at night or coffee in the morning. There was a bathtub which was appreciated. TV was lacking English news channels; no BBC nor CNN ( maybe it’s a positive point after all…) We booked the spa which we had for ourselves. The spa is large enough with 2 or 3 saunas (only one was working), showers, jacuzzi (which we had to pay about 20€ extra to use but it was prepared specially for us) , a relax area with chaises and an outside section as well to cool off after sauna. I think there was an other sauna outside but it wasn’t in function neither. Towels and sandals are provided. You had to reserve in advance and it seems that you must book a la carte services. There was a massage room as well and a small / basic gym. Very good continental breakfast. Buffet style with ample offer including boiled eggs. No gluten free bread was available but I had brought mine as I didn’t ask for it at time of reservation so it wasn’t really expected nor was it a problem. All the staff members were nice and qualified. Should we return to that beautiful town, we would choose to stay there again.

Sehr freundlich und kulant! Wir hatten vier Tage gebucht und wollten wegen des schlechten Wetters eher abreisen,was ohne Problem möglich war!!! Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber! Der Stil ist etwas“old fashioned“,passt aber zum Gesamtbild! Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls prima!

Семейный приятный отель в самом центре города, с видом на главную площадь, Часть здания - городская стена 14 века. Номер довольно большой (авторы отзывов, которые писали о маленьких размерах, наверно сняли номер эконом), состоит фактически из двух комнат: спальни с кроватью, столом и ТВ, и отдельного помещения с диваном, журнальным столиком и письменным столом со стулом. Есть мини-бар. Окна изолированные, плотно закрываются шторами. Кровать большая и удобная. Несколько неудобная подушка, слишком мягкая, но по просьбе приносят другую. Завтрак разнообразный и сытный. Лобби и коридоры создают впечатление, как будто находишься в древнем замке. Любезный персонал. Рекомендую.
