Wailea Ekahi Village by Destination Residences Hawaii

My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and were greeted in the office with kindness and gifts. The property was perfect for us, as we were there for a week and a half and were happy to have the space, privacy, amenities, proximity to dining and shopping and the ocean. We had the time of our lives, I am a runner and I easily got 10 miles in before the sun was up because the sidewalks are lit and the area is safe. In no way is this a complaint but for informational purposes only, the water pressure in the shower on the weak side and I found myself craving a bath or hot tub. Absolutely gorgeous grounds and so easy to get to the beach as well as enjoy the pools and other amenities like the gym. I can’t say enough good things. It was lovely.

We booked Wailea Ekahi Village through Donna Bender of MauiCalls. She did a great job booking a unit that met our preferences at a reasonable price. She also gave us her Local Girl's Guide to Maui which provided good recommendations for restaurants, shopping and activities. Wailea Ekahi Village is quiet and has beautiful landscaping. The view of the sunsets from their grassy hill was fantastic. It is a short walk from Wailea Ekahi Village to the beautiful Wailea Beach Trail. It is a short drive from Wailea Ekahi Village to the shopping center in Wailea and the beaches and restaurants in Kihei. Our unit in Wailea Ekahi Village was quiet and comfortable. However, it needs to be updated especially in the kitchen.

Very nice layout of the holiday village. Loved the direct access to the beach from the main pool area. Everything felt very relaxed. We had a very nice and spacious appartment, but keep in mind that they vary a lot. Cleaning service was very attentive and worked impeccable.

Ekahi Village was in a great location. The condo was super clean and perfect for our celebration. We would absolutely stay here again.

WE had an amazing time visiting Maui. Our accommodations at Ekhai Village were perfect for a family of four. Our unit was immaculate - updated appliances, air conditioning, in unit washer/dryer, beautiful grounds and amazing ocean views. The hospitality team was amazing! We will definitely be back!

First and foremost the photos on TA and most other sites Destination Residence etc. do not do this place justice. It’s gorgeous - setting and landscaping. We checked in off site at the Wailea Gateway. The staff at Destination Residence were welcoming and helpful. Daily texts include a weather report. On a seven day stay we were provided with one housekeeping service midweek. The property is located on Keweakapu Beach a beautiful beach that’s in great condition relative to other south Maui beaches (Feb 2024 as a result of storms).. A coded gate from the main pool takes you down to the beach. The Wailea Ekhai promotes itself as family friendly. There were several families mostly with young children along with snowbirds, couples and groups of friends. We booked via a Hawaiian Vacations package. We stayed in a studio unit 4 D towards the lower part of the complex. 4D is located in the building “zone” 1-17. The Andaz is the resort closets to this set of buildings. This set of buildings are near the beach front pavilion the largest pool with ocean view and the pavilion that includes stove, ovens, fridge etc. BBQ grills are situated around the property. Three additional pools are located around the complex including at least one that’s a designated “quiet pool.” There’s an on-site fitness center, shuffleboard and pickleball court. A short three minute walk takes you to the Wailea Coastal Walk a beautiful paved walk along the Wailea Beaches and resorts. A ten minute walk to the Shops at Wailea. Twelve minutes to Wailea Village which has a few shops, a cafe and a very popular pizza place. The Wailea Village hosts the weekly farmers market. When we were there a sushi place was in the process of being opened. Overall the Wailea Ekhai is an incredible value given the location, amenities and quality of the unit we stayed in.
