Hotel con colazione inclusa a Viseu

The building is very nice, right in the centre where most of the historic buildings are. The room was very big and also the bathroom. The staff are nice. The breakfast was very nice. The parking is limited and forget parking close by if it’s full. The blue carpets on the stairs need to be vacuumed as they are very dirty. The black out curtains don't close fully, i had to put my hair clip to keep closed. The biggest issue is they have old windows on the street side so forget going there if you actually want to sleep. They know the windows are bad as they said they have ordered new ones. The issue is the guests don’t know until they are trying to sleep with people screaming under their window. We were there new years eve, impossible to sleep so we asked to move room around 4am, they had another room with better windows so why didn’t they put us there in the 1st place. They said it was a family room but if they know the windows have NO soundproofing, they have to make the effort to make sure guests can sleep even if the room is slightly more expensive. Worst nights sleep ever and that makes everything else worse. The main people making noise were coming out of the hotel building but strange they said they had nothing going on. Ask for a room with double glazing windows or forget sleeping.

La zona del lobby è molto bella, ma il terreno dell'hotel è in fase di ristrutturazione e la polvere e il rumore sono portati all'interno dell'hotel. La camera al secondo piano era buia, il cavo non funzionava e il bagno si scontrava con una bassa pressione d'acqua nel doccia.

La pousada si trova in un bellissimo edificio ex ospedale sapientemente rinnovato. La corte interna trasformata in barra è veramente di grande impatto e al primo piano ci sono dei bellissimi azulejos. Camere nella norma di un quattro stelle. Ottima colazione con tantissimi prodotti. Abbiamo cenato al ristorante e c’è piaciuto molto. Dista pochi minuti a piedi dal centro storico. Viseu è una piccola chicca ed è considerata la città dove si vive meglio in Portogallo.

L'hotel ha raggiunto le sue aspettative, perché conosceva già l'impresa e mantengono la qualità del servizio e delle strutture. Per quanto riguarda il prezzo, il valore presentato da Trip è stato estremamente competitivo rispetto alle altre agenzie per le stesse condizioni di servizio, e anche rispetto al prezzo che sarebbe stato riscosso dall’Hotel stesso in prenotazione diretta (che non riesco a capire ...). Il colazione disponibile è stato di ottima qualità e in quantità. L'assistenza è stata eccellente e tutti i dipendenti in servizio all'hotel in questi 2 giorni di simpatia e efficienza molto superiore alla media. Tuttavia, sono un po' deluso dall'agenzia Trip, perché finora non mi ha ancora inviato la fattura per il valore pagato. L'unica certezza che ho avuto il pagamento è stata data dal ricevitore dell'hotel che mi ha detto che le camere erano state pagate, ma che non potevo trasferire una fattura perché il pagamento era stato effettuato all'Agenzia - che è naturale! ). In questa situazione la mancanza di fattura è stato molto sgradevole perché ho prenotato e pagato 3 camere (per noi e per altri 2 coppie amiche) e finora non ho alcuna prova di pagamento per ”facciare i conti” con loro.

Hotel Avenida is a 4-star boutique hotel right on the Praca da Republica in the center of Viseu. The hotel staff was warm welcoming and helpful (happily taking our bags in the morning before check in so we could explore the city). English and some other languages are spoken if needed. The room was delighful; spotlessly clean and enormous (although I must note that we did get a deluxe double). The bed was clean and comfortable (if a bit on the firm side). The bathroom had a fantastic shower and a new modern tub big enough for a swim (ok, maybe not, but still very big!). In spite of being right in the center of town, the room was quiet and the electric shades worked perfectly. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, especially the fruit and pastries. The hot food selection was a bit sparse, but the selection was hot and kept stocked. We highly recommend this hotel fo visitors to Viseu.

Reserved a triple room for 2 nights. I have phoned previously to ensure we would have the best room possible, on a higher floor - even allowed a possible upgrade to have the best experience possible. Arrived at 9PM. No concierge, rough and plainer customer attendance. Made me pay in advance, even though my credit card number was sent as I’ve booked the room, so the hotel had all warranties needed. Placed us on the first floor, hock means they didn’t care about my previous phone call and expectations. As we arrived in the room, we realised it was very dated, furniture eas falling apart, cracks on the walls, etc. Beds, we and tb were ok, mini bar with a couple of bottles, court wins and other amenities too old. We asked to change the room, because of cracks and so. They changed us to a double room with an extra bed which was actually better than the previous one(!). Overall very dated The rest of the. Hotel is ok. Good breakfast, great location, nice service. Fair SPA (it was nice actually, but every one could get is, specifically kids - why do they call it a SPA if it’s only an indoor pool?) In a nutshell: it’s not bad, pretty clean and fair. Should be cheaper - value for money is not ok - and definitely NOT a 5 star. An average 4 star, at most

L'hotel è situato a nord di Viseu, nei confronti di un continente. Ci sono anche fast food e un caffè. L'hotel ha anche un bar. La mia camera era abbastanza grande, il bagno aveva un bagno. Il bagno non era puro, la lavanderia era inefficace, la colazione a buffet era sufficiente e la qualità era piuttosto elevata. Il caffè usato con il caffè pieno di feci fresche e il caffè era eccellente per le condizioni portoghesi. I panini dorati erano veramente freschi (non ci sono rifornimenti).
