We recently stayed at Irnaqana Villa by GenuineHost in the Ubud and were thoroughly impressed by the architectural design and overall experience. This is not just another new villa (open late 2025), it’s a beautifully conceived private sanctuary where modern elegance meets natural tropical living in perfect harmony. Irnaqana consists of only four villas, each one a completely separate building. This gives every guest total privacy and the feeling of having your own exclusive retreat, which is rare and highly appreciated. The First Impression: A Brilliant Design Moment. From the moment you arrive, the entrance sets the tone. The elegantly designed door is a masterstroke, as it opens, it dramatically reveals the entire private swimming pool in one breathtaking view. It’s cinematic and instantly relaxing. No obstructed sightlines, just pool and lush greenery waiting for you. This clever architectural choice makes the outdoor space feel like an extension of the living area and creates that “wow” factor right away. Lush Garden & Natural Surroundings and water flow sound. The garden is lush and thoughtfully planted with a wonderful variety of tropical plants that feel completely natural and established. It’s not overly manicured, instead, it blends beautifully with the surrounding rice fields and countryside, giving a genuine sense of being immersed in Bali’s nature. Morning light filtering through the leaves, birdsong, and the gentle breeze made our mornings on the terrace truly special. Spacious Interior with Impressive High Ceilings Inside, the villa shines with its generous proportions and smart layout. The ceilings are exceptionally high — at least 5–6 meters — which not only makes the space feel incredibly airy and luxurious but also keeps the villa naturally cooler throughout the day. This is a game-changer in Bali’s climate. The unit is cleverly split into two distinct yet connected zones: • On the left side you have the dining and TV lounge area — perfect for relaxed meals or evening entertainment at the sunken seating. • On the right side is the bedroom with a bathtub and bathroom wing. Both sides offer ample space, so nothing feels cramped. The design elegantly balances modern lines, high-quality materials, and natural elements, clean aesthetics paired with warm tones and textures that nod to Balinese tradition without feeling clichéd. Every piece of furniture, lighting, and finishing feels carefully chosen and of premium quality. Bedroom & Bathroom Comfort The bed is enormous and one of the most comfortable we’ve experienced in Bali. After long days of exploring Ubud or playing sports, sinking into it was pure bliss — our backs were very thankful! The bedroom feels spacious and peaceful with excellent blackout options. The bathroom is equally impressive — spotlessly clean, with strong water pressure in the shower, fresh towels daily, and good-quality toiletries. Everything felt hygienic and well-maintained. The air conditioning is powerful and gets deliciously cold although might needs 1-2 minutes, which was welcome after hot days. Combined with the high ceilings and natural ventilation, the villa stayed comfortable at all times. Location Perks. While the villa itself is tucked away in a quiet, green setting ideal for relaxation, the surrounding area is surprisingly convenient. There’s a fantastic variety of eateries within a short distance — from authentic local warungs serving delicious Balinese food to excellent international restaurants. Final Thoughts Irnaqana Villa excels in thoughtful, high-quality design that prioritizes space, light, views, and privacy. It successfully delivers both aesthetic beauty and genuine comfort. I have many good things to say about this hotel but I must say that no other hotel beats their hospitality and warmness. On the day we arrived, we were paused from moving to listen to the manager’s introduction of the hotel and what to do if a certain situation arises. Ultimately, the briefing the manager gave us showcased the highest level of care, security, and sincerity which really made us feel at home despite staying here for 3 nights. Since there was renovation works being completed beside the hotel, we were given complimentary breakfast and a 60 minute massage. Without fail, the breakfast always appeared on our table at the timing we wanted and it is always absolutely scrumptious. During our stay, we had troubled the staff a lot - mostly because we were afraid of some small flies and occasionally bees but there was a time a spider just suddenly appeared and we went to find the staff. The moment I told the staff about this while my girlfriend was hiding underneath the bedsheets, the staff (and i’m not joking) literally jumped off his seat and ran to get his equipment and ran to the Villa we were staying at. Within 5 minutes, the spider was sent to heaven and we got to have, yet another lovely night’s rest. By the way, this was at 10:30pm and it did not even caused any trouble to the staff - the staff even made sure to spray some pesticide at dark corners and possible areas bugs may hide/nest. I’m not saying this hotel is infested with bugs, but since we are living on an island, a tropical one, there’s bound to be some. For those worried about bugs the common ones are just lizards and they are a safe signal as they are proof that all the bugs have already been eaten by them. On our last night, we went to get a spa and after the spa, we paid 700,000 IDR for 2 people for 90 minutes, directly to the massage therapists. On the way down the stairs, I could hear the staff running to us and making sure if we had paid yet or not. At first I was puzzled, but seeing the worried look and sweaty face of the staff made me realise something wasn’t right. We informed her we had paid 700,000 IDR already and she told us there is a 50% discount (-350,000IDR) that should have been given. After this, she immediately ran up to the rooftop from the 1st floor to get the refund back from the massage therapists. After that, we were so touched we tipped her and continued off to get a good night’s rest. On the day we checked out, our laundry may not have arrived on time, but thanks to the hotel they rushed it and ensured it was washed, dried, ironed, and delivered to our doorstep 3 hours before we checked out. In a nutshell, please come to this hotel/villa if you are playing near Jimbaran - such as the Jimbaran Beach for a nice lovely dinner which we went for or to the Uluwatu Cliff to take nice pictures on the beachside or enjoy a wonderful meal on the cliffside at Malini. Questa recensione presenta alcuni aspetti positivi che non dovrebbero essere ignorati, ma sono stati proprio gli aspetti negativi a convincermi a non tornare a Villa Jerami. Quando il taxi ha imboccato la strada della Villa, mi sono sentito come se fossi arrivato in un ghetto. Una zona molto degradata, che sembra un vicolo dietro alcune attività commerciali, con un sacco di spazzatura che entrava e usciva dai bidoni ai lati della strada. Ero piuttosto nervoso al pensiero di soggiornare a Villa Jerami. Entrare nella reception non ha alimentato le mie speranze di un soggiorno piacevole in queste ville, poiché la reception è molto essenziale e non offre un'esperienza positiva o accogliente. Ho dovuto firmare un documento in cui dichiaravo di essere stato accusato di aver danneggiato, consapevolmente o inconsapevolmente, la proprietà e poi sono stato avvisato che la mia borsa poteva essere rubata e che avrei dovuto tenerla e fare attenzione, il che ha fatto sorgere in me il sospetto che la villa si trovasse in una zona pericolosa. Le mie speranze di godermi queste ville sono svanite completamente a questo punto. Siamo stati poi accompagnati alla nostra villa per un tour e, quando il cancello d'ingresso è stato aperto, sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso da una piccola piscina e da una cucina esterna con zona pranzo e salotto, molto belle a prima vista. Aprendo la villa ed entrando, non sembrava poi così male, anche se ho sentito un odore di umidità. Quando siamo entrati in bagno, la mia delusione è tornata, perché era molto datato e presentava macchie e chiazze di muffa. Il bagno è la cosa più importante per me e ho avuto la sensazione che non fosse pulito a causa del suo aspetto. La tavoletta del water era traballante e l'acqua non defluiva bene dal lavandino e dalla doccia, ma una volta segnalato il problema, è stato risolto molto rapidamente. Siamo andati al ristorante per vedere se potevamo mangiare qualcosa dato che era tardi. Abbiamo cambiato idea rapidamente perché sembrava che il personale avesse fatto i bagagli per la notte e fosse stato disturbato. La mattina seguente siamo andati a fare colazione, che era inclusa ogni giorno. Ci è stato dato un foglio di carta con l'elenco dei cibi disponibili e ci è stato detto che potevamo scegliere un articolo da ogni fila. Un piatto era una frittata, delle uova o un rosti di patate. Se si desiderava la pancetta, era possibile sceglierla solo tra 5 voci specifiche del menu (quindi, se volevo un rosti di patate e pancetta, non era consentito). Abbiamo fatto colazione solo una volta e non ci è piaciuta, quindi non siamo tornati al ristorante. I punti positivi di Villa Jerami sono che puliscono la villa ogni giorno e forniscono lenzuola e asciugamani puliti. Le camere sono pulite e accoglienti. La piscina e l'area esterna sono pulite e ben tenute. Tutto il personale è cordiale, ma il migliore di questo resort è Oka, è stato fantastico, ha fatto di tutto per rendere il nostro soggiorno fantastico, fino a organizzare la doccia anche se il nostro check-out era a mezzogiorno, ma il volo era alle 23:00. Se la facciata del resort non fosse in una posizione così brutta e le camere e soprattutto i bagni fossero stati un po' rinnovati, questo sarebbe un posto fantastico in cui soggiornare.

In generale, un buon soggiorno e mi piaceva davvero stare qui, era situato in centro e accade la vita intorno. Raccomando davvero a tutti di rimanere in questo hotel per un soggiorno memorabile. La piscina è bella e il colazione è così, ma la pulizia e la cooperazione del personale è meravigliosa.

Our entire experience at this villa was absolutely excellent. Probably the best stay we’ve ever had in Bali. The villa itself is very clean and has everything you need. What I especially appreciated is that the team prepared almost everything we requested in advance for our child - a high chair, a baby cot, and other small things we needed while traveling with a toddler. It was thoughtful, genuinely helpful, and made our stay much easier. The location is also truly great. It’s max a 5-minute walk to the beach, which made it easy to go every day. There are also several convenience stores nearby, even closer than the beach (around 3mins by walking), so it’s easy to grab anything you might need. The staff is probably the best part of the entire villa! Everyone is incredibly friendly, warm, and always ready to help with anything. Our breakfast was included for 4 ppl, and every day we needed one breakfast adjusted to be suitable for our child. Even though it wasn’t on the menu, they organized it for us daily - huge thanks for that! Another thing that impressed us: we arrived around 8–9 AM, but check-in officially starts at 1 PM. After a long flight with a small child, we really needed somewhere to wait comfortably and they have a dedicated waiting room for this. It’s not just a basic room; it’s actually very good, with a bed, a toilet, and everything a family with a child might need. It helped us a lot! The same happened on departure day: checkout was at 12 PM and our flight was at 6 PM, and they let us use that room again for free. We’re very grateful for that! The chef (unfortunately I didn’t meet him personally) cooks really delicious food both for adults and for kids. The meals were so good that most of the time we ordered food directly from the villa instead of eating elsewhere. There’s enough variety to match different tastes, and you can easily rely on the villa’s food throughout your stay. I also saw some older reviews mentioning mosquitoes. I don’t know what it was like before, but during our stay they brought mosquito repellent solutions every single day without exception and it really worked. We never had any mosquito issues at all, not even our child. If I had only two small suggestions for improvement (and they were not a problem for us at all): 1 - It could be nice to have communication via WhatsApp. Of course you can call or walk to the front desk in seconds, but WhatsApp would be more convenient for some guests. 2 - A couple of times we asked for the villa to be cleaned in about 30 minutes, were told yes, but the team came closer to an hour later. I assume it was because housekeeping was busy with other villas which is totally understandable but it would be helpful to know in advance if there will be a delay. This happened only twice and never became an issue for us. Overall, this villa is amazing the place is great, the people are genuinely kind, and the entire experience was the best we’ve had in Bali. When we come back, we’ll be happy to stay here again.

La villa era stupenda e l'intera proprietà era molto ben mantenuta. Abbiamo apprezzato tutti i nostri pasti al Point Break (adoriamo le opzioni per la colazione à la carte e il buffet) e abbiamo apprezzato il fatto di poter ottenere una fantastica varietà di bevande alcoliche e analcoliche. Ma il servizio? Questo è ciò che distingue i Breakers. Dal momento in cui abbiamo effettuato il check-in, il servizio è stato a cinque stelle. Siamo rimasti solo tre giorni e la cameriera conosceva i nostri nomi. Davvero eccellente, e ci torneremmo volentieri se mai se ne presentasse l'occasione.

Está muy bonito el hotel. Me encanta que son cabañas de bambú. Están muy bien hechas, hasta me dieron ganas de quedarme a vivir ahí. El hotel está en la zona de Uluwatu, queda muy céntrico de todas las playas, buena ubicación, si tu idea es ir a explorar. Yo renté una moto y así me movía a todos lados. Las reseñas en internet recomiendan ver el atardecer en el templo de Uluwatu, pero se llena mucho, si te hospedas aquí, el atardecer se ve fantástico desde la alberca y sin gente. Toda la propiedad es muy bonita y tiene bastante jardín. Los desayunos no están incluidos, pero saben bien.

Noi amiamo i palazzi del patrimonio e il stile del vintage, così questi piccoli bungalow erano perfetti per noi. Erano un po' lontani dalla ricezione (no buggy!) che significava così tranquillo e tranquillo! Il doccia è un po' obsoleti e quando l'ho girato, c'era un odore di zolfo che si riferisce un po' a: basicamente, se ti piace il rustico, non ci sono frittelle, nessun servizio eccezionale, eccetera, eccetera, sono una bella esperienza. Tuttavia, se vuoi il lusso e sei schematico su vecchi stili case aperte, questo non è per te. Il colazione era molto fondamentale, quindi generalmente mangiamo fuori. Il principale ricevitore era un gentiluomo carino, un registratore molto veloce e siamo stati dentro! Le camere erano pulite e belle e buie per un comodo sonno di notte.

I spent 5 nights at Kose Villas Ubud, and this is one of those places where the setting truly shapes half of the experience. Location & vibe Kose Villas sits right in the middle of rice fields—quiet, lush, and instantly calming. It feels like Ubud suddenly switches to “slow living” mode. The views are unquestionable: absolutely beautiful. If you’re coming for serenity and scenery, this is exactly why you’d stay here. Important note about the access road One thing to keep in mind: getting to the villas involves walking/driving through the rice fields on a narrow path, with a small stream/irrigation canal running alongside. If you’re not a confident rider/driver (especially on a scooter), or if walking is difficult for you, this could be a challenge—particularly in the evening or if you’re carrying heavy luggage. The staff offer a motorbike transfer to and from the main road. I personally walked every time, and it took about 5–7 minutes at a relaxed pace. It’s a lovely walk—just important to know the setup in advance. The room: airy, high ceilings & a glass wall My standard villa felt genuinely nice: high ceilings, lots of space, and one full glass wall that makes the room feel even more open. I had a unit with a garden view and a small kitchen. I didn’t cook at all, but having a fridge was truly convenient (water, fruit, snacks—anything you want to keep for the next morning). There’s also a kettle, but oddly the only option provided was instant coffee sachets—no tea (a small detail, but in Ubud it feels like tea should be a given). Bathroom & shower The bathroom and shower are standard and fine. The only thing I noticed: the “hot” water felt slightly lukewarm, even at the maximum setting. It didn’t bother me—since the weather was hot, a cooler shower actually felt refreshing. But if you love a truly hot shower, it’s something to note (and perhaps for the hotel to check). What disappointed me A few things kept this from feeling like a fully polished villa stay: • No hair dryer—at all. I asked at reception, and it turns out the hotel simply doesn’t have hair dryers. For this type of stay, that’s a surprising and inconvenient omission. • Not enough lighting in the evening. During the day it’s bright and beautiful, but once the sun sets the room feels quite dim—there aren’t enough lamps for a comfortable evening (reading, working, getting ready). • “Shared” pool, but not really. I was a bit confused to learn the shared pool isn’t shared across the whole property, but only for two units (1 and 2). The place also seemed quite empty during my stay, yet I still wasn’t offered access to the pool. Not a huge deal, but it did feel like a service/communication gap. Overall Overall, I left with a positive impression, mostly thanks to the location: rice fields, quiet, gorgeous views, and a real sense of privacy. It’s a great place for a reset—slow mornings, nature all around, and that “Ubud green” backdrop. That said, if the hotel wants to consistently earn a higher rating, it should improve a few basics: provide hair dryers, add better lighting, communicate more clearly about the pool, and possibly check the water temperature.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were traveling as two couples and honestly did not expect to find such a beautiful and peaceful place away from the busy tourist routes. The hotel is charming, very well maintained, and has a special atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed from the first moment. It is also conveniently located close to one of Bali’s famous attractions, Lohongan Sweet, which was a wonderful bonus for us. The owner is absolutely wonderful — incredibly welcoming and attentive. His hospitality made us feel at home and even made us wish to extend our vacation and stay here longer. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay.
