Motel 6 Van Horn, TX

If you're looking for a clean bed for the night, this motel works. If you want to unwind with maybe a good book, you're out of luck. One uncomfortable chair. Only one tiny bedside table between the two beds, and it's about 18" away from each one. Add to that the table is so small that the phone pretty much fills it up. So I'd summarize by saying OK for sleeping, not really designed for much of anything else. It does have a tub & shower, which I haven't tried yet.

Like that it was right off highway, great price, stayed 1night just to rest from driving I would recommend,

The front desk person was very warm and friendly. He was also very helpful. An excellent deminor stood out. Room was perfecr! Bed and pillows were very comfortable and I had a very restful sleep.

I am a travel, nurse and drive across the country at least twice per year. For at least four or five years, I stay at this Motel 6 as I am driving. Because I travel with my kitties. I almost usually stay in Motel 6’s. All the ones I’ve stayed in, this one by far is the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are always very clean. And although it’s not a new building, the grounds and rooms are kept very nicely. I can’t see myself staying anyplace when I’m in VanHorn then the motel.

David was great very accommodating. Room was very clean surprisingly but it was very outdated. No plugs handy by bed to charge phone. Overall not bad. Area looks pretty shady but was surprised at how quiet for the most part it was. For the price I paid it’s a good deal.

Its a great location to jump off the highway on a pass through trip to Louisiana from California. However, the bed is not comfortable and the televisions do not show clear pictures. I stay here often as I take the drive a few times a year. This past trip I skipped it and stayed at Days inn for better accommodation.

Motel was clean. Service was fast and easy. Some of the repairs seemed shifty (wall in bathroom was poorly repaired.

Dirty floor-dirty toilet-dirty tub-joke of a “ breakfast “ Drone from the interstate was continuous. Good Point: Ground floor rooms were easy to access from parking lot. Good Point: The assistant manager listened to my concerns and comped $30.00 from total bill.

Cockroaches everywhere both the times we stayed. Next to Super charger if you have a Tesla. That’s the only plus. The beds are tiny. The location looks ok I guess.
