From the outside, this place looked imposing but inside it was warm and friendly, a beautiful Swedish house with great art work on the walls and a calm, clean and crisp interior. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and for us, happily changed an upstairs room for a downstairs one and let us stay past our leaving time as my husband was unwell. The weather was appalling so we didn't explore the grounds but they still looked beautiful. Beds were cosy, shared bathroom was fine as there are only a few staying, and breakfast was the typical Swedish fare, meats, cheese, eggs, salad and fruit filmjolk, muesli and yogurts and a selection of bread. Quality was really high standard. Coffee so strong to make your hair curl! All very Swedish!

Due to corona we were the only gasts, so the chef asked for our preferences for dinner. We had a nice room, with bathroom, very clean. It's a very nice and friendly couple, they booked our tickets for the postboat in Fyrudden, a super experience. They offered us a picnic with thee en coffee, for our boattrip. top!

Stayed for a couple of days on business, was made very welcome, and the food was fantastic, beautiful location, made my trip more enjoyable, I recommend you stay if you're in the area, I'm sure it will be better in the summer with food from the bbq, looking forward to my next trip already.

Our room was en suite; many are not I believe. In true Swedish style the room was functional but clean and comfortable. You have to have a discussion with Olaf about the timer switch in the bathroom! Dinner was a set menu (wine and beer available) and breakfast a good variety of cold dishes. An interesting stay in a little backwater far away from the city.

This is not a luxurious pension, but very well kept by the friendly owners. Dinner is served and very tasty. You might find smoked duck breast on the buffé... Breakfast is good but not overwhelming. Rooms are clean and comfortable and overlooks Gryt, a nice pearl in the archipelago.

Hostel close to the archipelago but without sea view. Got a so-so room but upgraded to a better room with private bathroom and charming old Swedish rural decor. Plain breakfast with option of sitting on a small outdoor terrace. Nice and helpful hosts. 500 m to a small harbour but for an open sea view take a short 4 km drive to Fyrudden. For hiking and sunbathing cliffs go to beautiful Ekön nature reserve, also 4 km from the hostel.
