Mary K Hotel

I can't say enough good things about my fantastic experience at the Mary K. But I'll say a few. The location is perfect. Close to everything but far enough to be quiet, and right on the main canal. I stayed in the "Master Bedroom" which is huge, bright, and absolutely gorgeous, with big canal-view windows. After a long day of travelling, I very much appreciated the well-stocked (and reasonably-priced!) mini-bar, especially the delicious local beer. My favorite feature of the room was the raised bathroom with huge soaker tub next to shutters that open out to the room (and the view!). I sipped my beer in the tub while looking out on the canal during the "golden hour" of the evening and was very content indeed. I also loved the electronic blackout shades that could be raised from the bottom to any height at the push of a button. Room darkness, bed comfort and sleep quality were all great, as were the temperature and pressure in the shower... all very important factors to me! But most impressive and appreciated by me was the warmth and friendliness of John, the owner. He let me keep my pack there for the day after checking out, which saved me trekking back to the train station just to store it. We chatted a while and he was incredibly welcoming and funny and genuine, which had definitely not been my experience at a few other hotels in the Netherlands. So it really made an impression. As someone who has stayed in a variety of accommodations all over the world, I highly recommend this hotel as well as Utrecht in general. Sadly I only had one night there this time, but I will definitely correct that next time, when I will absolutely stay at the Mary K again. Thank you John and team!

Super leuk hotel midden in het centrum. Lekker ontbijt, fietsen huur en fijne kamer. Als je de kans hebt huur dan de kamer aan de gracht zelf, heel leuk in de zomer kun je buiten aan de gracht zitten! Vriendelijk personeel. Wij hebben nog een gids gehuurd voor een leuke wandeling.

Moderne et pratique, petit hôtel recommandé par de nombreux guides depuis longtemps et qui a su garder une qualité d’accueil et de ses chambres. A recommander; système de clés permettant une arrivée différée.

Mooi hotel aan het gezellige straat. Sfeervolle kamer die leuk op de gracht uitkijkt. Ontbijt wordt vers voor je gemaakt. Binnen een paar meter sta je in het centrum. Meneer die ons ontbijtje maakte was zeer vriendelijk. Echt een aanrader!

Wij zaten in "de Study" en ruime kamer aan de voorzijde van de oude gracht. Prachtige sfeervolle en stoere inrichting en alles aanwezig. 's morgens lekker ontbijten in heerlijke stoelen terwijl de stad weer tot leven komt. Wij hebben genoten van het hotel, het personeel en de stad.

Een echte aanrader! Persoonlijke aandacht, knusse, ruime kamer (nr. 7, The Royal Rooftop) met heerlijk bad, goed gevulde minibar, prachtig uitzicht over de Oudegracht. Goede website met fijne tips. We hebben een heerlijk 3 gangen diner besteld bij Keuken van Gastmaal en kunnen opwarmen en eten in de keuken/receptie. We voelden ons erg welkom! Marie-Anne en Ton
