Stayed here for 4 nights in August with my husband as part of our break away. Will start with the positives first - room nice and clean, breakfasts really nice and lots to pick from, parking included and free access to the grounds. Now for the negatives - wedding on whilst we were there which consisted of a lot of noise until midnight on our last night which wasn’t ideal with a 6hr drive home the next morning. I completely appreciate a wedding being there as the place has lovely surroundings however we weren’t made aware of this when we booked and had we known we would have booked somewhere else as it was like a nightclub. Another massive issue was the guests staying in the same wing as us especially those in the room above ours. Constant banging of doors all day and night resulting in every night having broken sleep which was really frustrating. Did bring this up with the bar manager on our 3rd night as he was moving another guest at 10.30pm to a new room due to issues with theirs. The following morning the manager of the hotel did get in touch, offered to move us rooms which I declined due to having to move all our belongings and not actually being moved away from the noise that was to come with the wedding that day. I did explain how the experience whilst staying at the hotel had put a downer on our break and that I felt we had been ripped off. She went away and sorted a partial refund for us which is appreciated. As lovely as the place is, I really wouldn’t recommend it to anyone due to the issues we had making it impossible to actually get some sleep. Lastly I have never stayed anywhere where there is no staff available at night. They finish at 7/8pm and that’s it then till the next morning. This I feel is a little on the unsafe side of how to run things in case an emergency happens who can help??

Ieri abbiamo mangiato al ristorante dopo aver prenotato una tavola. Quando siamo arrivati, il ristorante era piuttosto vuoto, ma sembra che non riescano a trovare una tavola per noi. Il personale sembra essere piuttosto nuovo. Le bevande sono state servite molto rapidamente e poi è emerso che altri clienti avevano problemi diversi che causavano un po' di agitazione. I principianti sono arrivati molto rapidamente e sono stati deliziosi. Ho avuto un'allocuzione e posso anche pagare per la zuppa deliziosa. I corsi principali ci hanno voluto un po' per venire e ho avuto la turcheria tostata che era ancora deliziosa come dove le verdure. Non sono sicuro che ci sia stato un cambiamento di gestione, ma non è riuscito a incontrare quanto molte persone sapesse cosa stavano facendo e il Il ristorante non era in alcun modo pieno, questo potrebbe essere un luogo incredibile, ma è necessario davvero ordinare il personale o la gestione.
