The Carmen Teresa is a lovely family owned hotel with approximately 40 bedrooms and is quite possibly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. It won't suit everybody because it is situated on a rather busy road but it doesn't bother me one bit and when the balcony doors are closed you hear no road noise whatsoever inside and the attractive garden and pool area to the rear is incredibly tranquil too. The beautiful beach of La Carihuela is only a 5 or 6 minute stroll away down a slight hill, where you will also find a huge selection of shops, bars and restaurants. There's a bus stop just seconds away from the hotel, so exploring the area is made simple and incredibly cheap. There's even a new Aldi store just a short walk from the hotel too. To keep this review real I have mentioned the road, the bedroom walls too would probably be a bit thin for some and the water system can be noisy at times but overall I love this hotel. The staff can't do enough for you, the location is terrific, the price is so competitive and it's only a 20 minute transfer from the airport . I've stayed at the Carmen Teresa three times now and will definitely be staying there again

Soggiornato in camera superior. L'hotel dispone di un parcheggio che non è possibile prenotare online ma solo sul posto se disponibile . Buona la pulizia in tutta la struttura. Nell'hotel vengono noleggiati anche teli per la spiaggia. Buona la piscina , ma dubito che in alta stagione ci siano sempre lettini disponibili ( la spiaggia è a 2 passi) . Molto gentile il personale. La colazione nella media, è molto adatta al turista anglosassone. Ho usufruito solo una sera della cena (self Service ) e non sono stato particolarmente colpito. Buona la qualità ma poca scelta e un pò cara visti i prezzi della zona. L'hotel a mio parere vale il viaggio. La storia di questo hotel è talmente importante che ha caratterizzato lo sviluppo turistico di tutta la zona. Nell'hotel hanno soggiornato negli anni 60 i più grandi personaggi del periodo, re, attori. Qualche aneddoto : Frank Sinatra è stato arrestato in questo albergo, vi ha soggionato il nostro ultimo re, il duca di Windsor, Peron, Sofia Loren, Sean Connery, ecc . Nelle sue sale ha cantato Julio Iglesias. La ristrutturazione effettuata nel 2009 è stata molto accurata. (il pavimento del salone delle colonne è quello originale). Hotel è patrimonio istorico Andaluso (2006). Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Se dovessi tornare a Torremolinos sarebbe la mia prima scelta.

Un altro bellissimo soggiorno a la barracuda, il tetto superiore bar è sorprendente ( il progetto di birra renderebbe perfetto) La vista sul mare dalla nostra camera è fantastica, Baracuda ha una grande piscina così grande se si vuole fare una bella nuoto . La struttura è molto attraente e si trova a pochi passi dalla porta della promenade e la sua sulla spiaggia, con un'ampia gamma di ristoranti e bar di spiaggia che servono tutto da tapas, pesci freschi e paella. Siamo tornati in poche settimane per una vacanza familiare , che è probabilmente il migliore lode che posso dare all'hotel !!!!!

Stayed for 2 nights,felt very relaxed at the hotel especially with a bright and cheerful reception from the lady on the desk as we checked in.Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold foods.I ate the typical English breakfast,cereal,toast,eggs,bacon etc.My wife chose smoked salmon with a variety of cheeses and quality fruit,all food was replenished when needed.We ate in a part of the restaurant which I believe some guests were not aware of,a glass fronted dining room overlooking the promenade and the sea with beautiful views of the sunrise,absolutely brilliant! Our room was spacious,clean,great bathroom and balcony,huge TV with a massive selection of UK channels and a very efficient fridge.The hotel is a good example of a 4 star.We could have used the free spa but chose to spend our stay enjoying the late autumn sun.Some guests have mentioned old and dated decor,we found the room more than adequate,the theme is after all ”Tropical”The bar area was permanently closed but we could have used the one next door in the sister hotel the 4 star MS Amaragua.The swimming pool was open but we chose to use the larger pool in the MS Amaragua. The negative was the evening meal served in the MS Amaragua.Incredibly opulent entrance and reception area gave us high expectations,escalator into the restaurant showing a bright and roomy area.The starter,huge mixed salad was great,it was 4 star.The main course was where it fell apart,many options were missing from the servery with little effort to replenish.Worse was all the hot food was at best luke warm.A low 3 star for this course.Dessert was abysmal,all the items ended up in a small heap on 1 small chilled section,ice cream and a tiny selection of chilled cake,no creams,all the fresh fruit had gone ,we were not late diners!Stay here again,YES,but forget the evening meal!
