You couldn’t ask for nicer owners. So friendly, helpful and considerate. This place is in a good location as it’s quiet but near to shops and not too far a walk from the sea front. There is plenty of parking, decent rooms and facilities and a lovely breakfast room with food cooked to order. Thank you for a lovely stay

Il prezzo che pagano è incredibile, tutti sono stati caldi e benvenuti e hanno assicurato che ci fossero sempre curati durante il nostro soggiorno. Le camere erano confortevoli e ciò che si aspettava di avere anche una stanza standard, le camere erano leggermente circostanti intorno ai bordi e avevano la merce e lacrime generali, ma non ci ha mollato molto. In generale, molto felice del nostro soggiorno, e verrà di nuovo.

The stay was pleasant, the room was basic but clean missed not having a bath and just a shower missed simple things like a hair dryer in the room although when requested at the reception I was given one and lack of choice of coffee and tea in the room. It was very nice that there was no noise at night and meant a decent night's sleep. Breakfast was acceptable, but you have to get there early when it comes out hot from the kitchen, or it is all cold from spending to long under the hot plates. The only big downside is it's a good 30mns walk from the town centre although buses seem to run outside the hotel but there is a good-sized car park if you drive. The room was small but fine for just my 2 nights stay and acceptable. I'm not sure the room size, lack of luxuries and breakfeast beng hit and miss would make it comfortable for a longer stay.

L’edificio è vecchio e può usare un bicchiere di pittura e alcuni nuovi mattoni, ma la stanza era stata completamente decorata, era molto preziosa, pulita e tesa con un bagno piuttosto che un doccia, e un rack di tovagliolo riscaldato. Il segnale TV era davvero cattivo, ma il WiFi era buono, quindi potevamo guardare la TV sui nostri dispositivi. Ci era parcheggio stradale gratuito. Più opzioni per la colazione sarebbe bello, ma se ti piace un semplice continente è bello. Ci sono state molte opzioni per i ristoranti locali in consegna, così abbiamo potuto godere di un bel pasto nella bella alcave nella stanza dove c'era una tavola e due sedie, guardando fuori la finestra della baia. Il personale, Hissan e la sua squadra erano sorprendenti, cari e amichevoli, fornendo il ghiaccio per il nostro raffreddamento due volte e anche modificando la prenotazione per un secondo soggiorno notturno, senza fare cambiamenti di stanza. Per un soggiorno costoso, avrete un tempo difficile trovare meglio.

Unfortunately for us , our stay at this hotel was marred badly by the dreadfully dirty room we had ; I am sure it was a health hazard . On arrival, the room we were allocated was very small, but more to the point it was MOULDY - walls, windows etc . :( I went to reception where the lady there was so lovely, she was very apologetic and sympathetic and called the Manager , who was equally as pleasant and helpful and very considerate . She showed us another 2 rooms , one of which seemed light and more airy - we thought . Sadly, upon further inspection, which came to light when I tried to open the windows for some air as it was very hot and stuffy and as I am asthmatic, it would have been good to get some fresh air through - but oh dear, this was not to be .The window frames were thick with black and we could not open any . The bathroom was very , very grubby , the bed frame worn right through, the bedroom chair full of dust and grime - we were not sure if we could see mites on one side of the chair- it was so dirty we would not sit in ti and the whole feel of the room made you feel cringy , like you needed a real good scrub! I could not believe it, it ruined the stay . The shower slip mat was mouldy , the windows rattled every time traffic went by . The pillows were biscuit thin . The bed was the worst I have ever slept in - hard, lumpy, could feel the springs , no mattress topper . :( Goodness, I didn't htink rooms like this existed in this day and age !! Absolute health hazard x 2 !! We had tried twice!! There was so much grime in the bathroom , I cringed having to wash in there. We would never use this hotel again ever, and that is a shame as their facilities are good , evening entertainment good , Bistro gets our vote entirely as all staff in there were lovely and friendly, and the food in there was excellent and very good value for money - I highly recommend ! But when you are staying, your room, to me , forms your home for the week, and ours , despite the hotel's efforts , was dreadful. Such a huge disappointment . I am not a person who would normally have this much to say - but our stay was, as I say , runied , knowing we had to go back to this awful grime ridden room each night . I did not see any point asking again - what would be next ?? So, sorry , Derwent , but keeping just your public area's clean and negelcting rooms to the point we had, we will not return, nor, so our 3 friends who were with us , say neither will they . We even considered going and booking another hotel whilst there but that would have meant, of course, we would have paid double for a stay ? Never seen such dirt . Food in restaurant = mmm , presentation not good, sloppy looking meals , tepid temperatures. Bistro food and service = 10 / 10 - Thank you , Aztec Bistro !
